  1. No need, Peter will have "interviewed" him already.
  2. And another thing, is it purely coincidence that this is released the day after Ra Poops are stuffed out of the CL and their Directors are getting it tight from their fans, and they need something else to use as a distraction? Paranoid, who me?
  3. Actually in reading that statement from HMRC, if HMRC are only allowed to appeal the termination payments, and that those only relate to Murray (and family), then that is only the Murray Group employees that are being appealed, and not the RFC employees. Am I reading that right?
  4. Any replay that shows a clear dive (zero contact) should result in a 3 game ban and a 2 weeks wages fine. The same for anyone who is already going to ground before the contact comes in, or who sticks their leg out to ensure contact as they are going to ground. Players feigning injury when there was no contact should get the same. This doesnt help the ref at the time, but it should cut out a lot of it if the punishment was severe.
  5. Bitter bitter bassas that are just not letting it go when they are wrong. It is easy to do when you are spending other peoples money, and are never held to account.
  6. Not sure how fit he is with no pre-season, but I am hoping he gets a chance at RB instead of the truly awful Foster. I was looking forward to seeing him play there in the WC before his injury, and he should be settled enough into Scottish life that he has no other excuses not to make a place his own.
  7. I have thought for years that subs should be allowed on and off at will, via the 4th official who at the moment gets paid for pretty much nothing. I would like to see a trial of each side having their 7 subs which can come on and off to suit, as long as the player goes off the park first at the 4th officials approval. The game is no longer stopped for substitutions, and the game can become more tactical as a manager can bench specialist players who can go on to take free kicks for example then come back off. When down a goal they can throw attacking players on, then take them back off if defensive options are required. I do not see it as being difficult to administer from the 4th officials standpoint as he is in charge of allowing these to happen, so obviously he would not allow this to happen if the play was right in front of him. It would also mean that a player going off has to be at the touchline ready to go off, not taking 30 seconds to go off milking the crowd, or timewasting. Injured players can go off anywhere at a natural break in play but can only re-enter play at the 4th officials approval at the centre line. I would also like to see each side get one tactical time-out per game, lasting say 90 seconds. If your team is right under the cosh, or are not adjusting to a tactical switch from the opposition, the manager can call a time-out to get his instructions to his team. While I admit this stops the play, it could become a useful tactical tool to have and make the game more interesting. I would reduce the half time interval to 10 minutes to compensate for this. I still cant see why 15 minutes is needed to change ends, get a drink and some tactical talk.
  8. I have heard that the current ST sales are just over 22K, and tickets sales for Sunday are at around the 33K mark. This was as at Tuesday night. I would think Sundays attendance wont be far short of 40K, which under any other circumstances other than the board/shareholders incompetence would be a complete sellout. I dont pay too much attention to the crowd on Tuesday, as midweek televised cup-ties have been poorly attended for years now, but anything under 45K on Sunday for the highest profile fixture of our entire league campaign will be another failure from the board to add to the list. That they have failed to engage sufficiently with the support to ensure a capacity crowd for a game against our expected closest title rivals, with the re-naming of the Govan stand, and the unfurling of the league flag all at once, does not auger well for the rest of the season. If it is 38k (plucking a figure out the air) on Sunday, what price a crowd for a winter midweek game against Dumbarton or Cowdenbeath (i'm guessing they are both in our division this year as we havent played them yet on our "journey"). If the quality of play again matches the quality of the board this winter, crowds will be the lowest for over 30 years. Some recognition of this from the board/shareholders would be a start.
  9. While I agree on the co-efficient's point, and regularly take a look at Bert Kassie's excellent site to keep an eye on how things are progressing, I cannot put as a priority the hope that Scottish sides do well to protect our National rating. Scum aside, I used to be quite supportive of other Scottish sides playing in Europe for that very reason, but that all changed forever when they ganged up to force us out of the SPL, and stole our prize money, transfer fees, and even tried to steal our titles. As it stands, European football is so far away for us that it is irrelevant at this time. When we qualify again, probably for the 16-17 season and have to play before the Glasgow Fair even begins, so be it. That is a small price to pay to see the teams who tried to kill us off suffer, especially financially. With the way our club is being run just now anyway, a European run and worrying about our co-efficient is as far away as an honest Director.
  10. Looks like they have managed to get a copy of the full 5 way agreement. I have said countless times that Green should have "leaked" it the day before signing it, as it would never have withstood the public outburst, even for saying that most at that time were against us and no doubt many would have backed it. It would have made the Rangers fans sit up and take notice of what our enemies were doing to us. BTW, I dont like the way they are going to do this bit by bit as if it is a serialisation of a book or something. It is not, it is a grotesque piece of legal blackmail, and if indeed they do have it, they should just publish it in full and let us all read it for ourselves. It comes across as self-serving, instead of investigative on behalf of Rangers fans.
  11. I hate that we bring everyone back to defend corners, but I can understand him bringing back any tall players to cope with an opposition aerial threat. I thought Boyd won more headers from hibs corners than anyone else last night. I would always want to leave someone like Aird or Temps up front that will make the opposition worry about his threat from a resulting breakaway, and also someone to close down a cleared pass to rush the defender who currently has all the time in the world to play his ball back into the box. Again, I think it all comes back to the fact that Jig cannot defend. He cant look at both the ball and the man and cover any run made. Last night he was desparately trying to be the spare man at every opportunity so he didnt have to mark anybody. I watched him carefully under this 3 CH formation and that was how he tried to work it.
  12. Didnt buy anything last night, partly because I am trying to lose some weight and partly because I refuse to give them any additional money over and above of the ticket price. So no more programmes and no more snacks/drinks within the stadium. But from the photo above, it looks like the prices have jumped up massively from last season without any real reason why other than to try to rip off the supporters that turn up to make up for the supporters that have not turned up. Great logic that!
  13. Agree with all of that BH, but he is 10 times the defender Jig is, albeit still nowhere near good enough for what we will need next August. All that does is prove how bad a defender Jig has turned out to be, almost as bad as he is a striker or a midfield player in fact. But he is a great lad and one of us, so let's make him Captain undroppable despite his many failings.
  14. This is just a relaunch of the worldwide alliance, or assembly, or whatever it is called. The only difference that I can see is that you now have to pay for the privilege of membership, but you get a shiny badge or similar for your dish. While all ST holders are automatically included for free this season, I am guessing this is just to get the numbers up to give it some validation and from next season onwards the fee will apply, where the numbers will dwindle as it is seen to be as toothless as all the other incarnations have been. 4 meetings a year? Not going to get much done in 4 meetings a year. Our club is in such a poor state, a fit and proper fans board would be needing weekly meetings to deal with fans queries, and probably fortnightly meetings with the board to hold them to account for the (empty) promises they make them. The problem with volunteer fans boards is that they mostly all have jobs and other things going on in their lives, and in between meetings very little happens. You can bet you will also find that out the 12 fans board members, only 3 or 4 at a push will do all the work, and the rest will just turn up to hear what's going on. Show me this in a year and tell me I was wrong!
  15. A couple of questions immediately spring to mind; How big is his shareholding in the club? Is he represented on the board? Only with the answers to the above 2 questions can anyone put the above interview into context. If he is a minor shareholding with no board input, his opinion while noteworthy is unimportant. On the other hand if he is a significant shareholder with board representation, his interview has some merit, but also we would then be asking why he has allowed it on his watch, why he continues to allow the current board to be putting shareholders interests above the Company's, and why he has done nothing to try to get fans onside.
  16. Don't know how they managed to finish with 10 after conceding 2pens and other awful tackles according to some who watched it. Still, hilarious result akin to Artmedia, but it's only half time so I'm not getting too carried away until they are officially oooot.
  17. Lifted from FF. Photos haven't copied across, perhaps someone else can copy this better, as the story deserves a wide audience IMO.
  18. 19. Thats a cracker, who was the United keeper, I didnt recognise him?
  20. Most decent restaurants are in full "Xmas special menu" mode by the 6th December, meaning busy restaurants with overpriced menus. Any restaurant not busy or overpriced at this time of year probably isn't up to much. I would suggest December is left out, with a replacement date of either sometime oct-nov or in the new year.
  21. And all for the princely sum of about 50p from the SPFL tv deal for the inconvenience!
  22. Good wishes to you and your RSC for the coming season. You have quite a lot of games in your own area this season!
