  1. How long before ra Sellik declare Ryan Christie a separate entity?
  2. Well, that's a blow to our development squad and their upcoming Tunnock's semi-final against Inverness Caley.
  3. Going for the Throat. Yesterday was a busy day for the PQ Gang Hut. Angela Haggerty waddled up to the microphone, on Shereen Nanjiani's show. Of course, Shereen was on holiday, thus Fiona Stalker hosted. First up was a review on BBC 's new drama, 'Dracula'. Angela revealed, "we were raised as catholics, I know nothing about Dracula, that would be seen as a cult thing". Angela confirmed her conditioning, "my father is staying with me, he's eighty, he watched a few of the opening minutes before declaring this is not for me". She admitted to binge watching and stated her admiration for the nun character, "she's a bit rock'n'roll". Another guest, the Editor of the Big Issue, Paul McNamee offered, "I was taught by Nuns, none of them were rock'n'roll". You see the difference between someone who is Irish and someone desperate to be so? Still, I am sure Angela will call out Paul's off message contribution, and he will burn in the bad fire. One wonders how Angela has navigated this wide world and reached her 34th year, in such a state of ignorant innocence? Can PQ not raise the funds to send her to Transylvania, let her and the Count do the monster mash. In her two years of doing this show, the majority of her, 'moment of the week' have been Sellik related. Not yesterday, she chose an ethical vegan winning a court case to acclaim veganism as a religion. Be careful Angela, do not get too close to Veganism and don't offer to change a light bulb. Like you're beloved Bhoys, they prefer to remain in the dark. DrStu' has returned from his Big Hoose in Sri Lanka. He knows the parameters on his infinity pool, came back swinging. He wondered aloud about Morelos and throat cutting gestures, had a real good laugh at Fraser Aird losing his contract at Cove Rangers, and told a story of himself and a couple of Saintee supporting mates calling the sequestrators at Gretna, to buy the club's history. I suspect co-host of the day, Amy Irons was the target for the venom? She is a Rangers supporter and her auld man is David Irons. Eventually, he gave the St Johnstone PR puff piece for allowing the old firm fans access to three out of four stands. It will allow Saints to buy two or three players. Further, it's only accepting reality, Saints fans do not turn up against Rangers because of the bigotry. The last Rangers game in Perth attracted the lowest St Johnstone v Rangers attendance ever? Next up was Liam McLeod hosting in Big Dick's absence. He and Michael Stewart discussed Rangers plea for VAR to be introduced. Michael explained that Rangers had experienced a bad month for decisions; mentioning the denied penalty at Pittodrie, the off side goal during the League Cup final, and Sellik's goal in the last old firm game. Of course, Rangers have had many occasions when they have been the beneficiaries of decisions, Liam chipped in, "all clubs recognise that". Liam was anxious to let the audience know, "Rangers will experience VAR in the next round of the Europa Cup", Michael added Kevin Clancy had refereed well during the game and, "I don't like the way Rangers do things as a club". Who knew? We know Michael agrees with the Green Brigade's political commentary, he refrained from commenting upon the St Michael banners. Self beatification might be a step too far? The second part of Off the Ball was advertising Pat Nevin as special guest, I gave up but I am sure Pat showed solidarity with Alfredo in his every day battle with racism?
  4. If we remember when Neil Lennon was gaffer at Hibs, after an Edinburgh Derby he was struck by a coin at Tynecastle. The First Minister spoke out at the treatment Lennon was suffering on a regular basis. Nicola Sturgeon said no one should have to suffer such abuse and attacks. Further, she condemned anti-catholic racism. Now, considering the number of coins and other objects thrown at Morelos, and the collective abuse at Sellik Park and individual profanity directed at him on the street; surely the First Minister will want to reinforce her welcoming to all immigrants to our country, by highlighting and speaking out against such vile racism? I do believe Sellik season ticket holder and Justice Minister, Humza Yousaf has instructed Police Scotland to investigate whether Alfie was illegally parked when above photo was taken?
  5. I would tell the Super Saintees to stick it up their collective arse.
  6. The PQ take on ra Sellik forwards is very much rehabilitation of offenders. Leigh Griffiths is a convicted racist, it is NEVER mentioned. Similarly, Leigh's depression is NEVER quantified, only sympathy is offered, quickly followed by an expression of solidarity in Leigh defeating his demons. A quick recovery would benefit ra Sellik, but we are continually reminded the national side would be a beneficiary too. Further, French Eddy has a conviction back in France for possession of a firearm. Maybe Ryan Kent's celebration was alluding to something that PQ's strict adherence to Hollicom PR will NOT allow it to confirm. Compare and contrast with Gang Hut reactions to both Morelos and Defoe. Both Big Dick and Liam McLeod rhyme off the Morelos charge sheet on most occasions. I do not believe they have ever mentioned his charity foundation? A young black man, several thousand miles from home elicits no empathy, let alone sympathy. Dandy Dons players admit to learning lines of Spanish to play with his emotions, the reaction is very much, 'all part of the game'. Dandy Dons fans hold up a banner in Spanish claiming Alfredo's 'Mother is a mattress': time for a snigger. They have had a couple of co-ordinated goes at Defoe too. A model pro for twenty years, and the Gang Hut decide twice that they've discovered he leaves the foot in and indulges in simulation(last season's final old firm game at Ibrox). The Ryan Christie is awkward for some senior members of the Gang Hut, they have eulogised him constantly, some already nominating him for Player of the Season. The Compliance Officer citing the former Dandy Don loanee, is a collective testes of the Gang Hut conscience.
  7. Someone please tell me : Peter Lawwell promised to leave no stone unturned in an effort to track down the fellow Sellik fan that pelted Fernando Ricksen with a lighter. What was his/her name and punishment?
  8. I can see the astonishment levels from folks raised in a club tradition whereby it's perfectly normal to grasp the genitalia of the younger members of the team. Alfredo is not a willing catamite and I hope ra Sellik put forward the defence of conditioning.
  9. Strike one from the Compliance Officer, Ryan Christie has been cited for his grab at Alfredo's haw-maws. Ryan is facing a two match ban. Considering Christie has been rushed to hospital for emergency groin surgery, is this karma? Further, will strike two be citations featuring Kent and Morelos for gestures?
  10. When the BBC want to pay that little bit of extra attention to a Sports story, catching that embryonic spark suggesting a different development; they ask Rob Bonnet to capture the essence. Bonnet is across the broadcast medium, whether it's radio, TV, or social media. A man in his mid sixties, he brings a certain gravitas. The Steven Gerrard phenomenon is of huge interest to the whole of the UK and beyond. In eighteen short months, he has taken the proverbial sleeping giant and provided the necessary electricity to power a title challenge. Twenty-eight European matches have been played in the same time period, only three having been lost. Such stirrings have been noted and are genuinely worthy of Rob Bonnet's attention. Among the BBC nations and regions, etiquette governs the approach. Currently, we are in the fifth year of the PQ Gang Hut managed dispute. They take our license fees without providing a service. Strict adherence to supporting a Journalist who has had his press credentials withdrawn, ensures Rob Bonnet cannot interview Steve Gerrard. Now, Rangers supporters and other interested parties get less value for their license fees. BBC Scotland's Chief Sports Correspondent is Chris McLaughlin. Etiquette demands Rob Bonnet must speak to the Ghoul of Hinshelwood reference Gerrard's burgeoning success. It was his best Grassy Knoll stance, Gerrard has improved Rangers, but Rangers remain a long way behind. Chris illustrated this by mentioning yesterday's victory was only the second at ra Stade de Gadd in this decade. McLaughlin gripped his comfort blanket tightly, pointing out the financial gulf between both clubs, after Rangers 2012 liquidation. I know, there's a contradiction right there; it's our first victory in seven years, and we did not compete in the same division for four of those years. However, to articulate the conclusion of his own rationale means he has to add Rangers supporters' beliefs, and Chris cannot do that. Rangers supporters must NOT have a voice on the national broadcaster. McLaughlin's latest squeeze, Eilidh Barbour has left him, she prefers the taste of axminster. The time has come for PQ to leave Chris behind too.
  11. Tam's a Bam. A fortnight past, Tam Cowan utilised the second half of 'Off the Ball' to appeal to the Referee of the next day's live for TV match, Motherwell v Rangers. He wanted to remind Don Robertson of Morelos showing petulance in the League Cup final. He highlighted fly kicks at ra Sellik centre backs and offered the Colombian had a habit of throwing himself to the ground and rolling around, without cause. If you have regular access to the national megaphone, why not use it? The next day, immediately after Alfie scored, he gestured to a grouping of young 'Well fans. A grouping that include members who have regularly pelted Rangers players with coins, lighters, and cups full of various liquids. Don Robertson issues Alfie his second yellow, and first red of the season. Tam got his wish. The fact Tam has not reminded his audience of this particular appeal is probably because he is embarrassed? Further, the PQ Gang Hut have ignored the appeal too. Truthfully, it's there preferred prejudice. Today, Tam shares presenting duties for the third week with Partick Thistle fan and comedian, Ray Bradshaw. If you expect laughs, you would be better getting yourself down to the next fire at an Orphanage! The second topic raised by Tam Cowan was Stevie G's appeal to tomorrow's Referee, Kevin Clancy. In light of refereeing decisions favouring ra Sellik during the League Cup final, the Rangers manager is asking for strong performances from the officials. Tam thinks this is wrong and condemns Gerrard for his appeal. The hypocrisy is outrageous. As we know, the principle of, 'reinforcement' is uppermost in the Gang Hut. Step forward Big Dick, only several minutes past, he also criticises Gerrard for his appeal to Clancy and has a fly kick at Morelos too, "Gerrard would be as well as appealing to Alfredo Morelos to finally score a goal against Celtic". Here's the thing, it's only several months since the final old firm game of last season. Remember, Lennon gave a press conference before the game at Ibrox, he reminded the Officials particularly of Rangers indiscipline, the number of red cards issued and stated his team would play on the continued expected indiscipline. Neil did not mention the correlation between ra Sellik and the compliant Compliance Officer. The entire Gang Hut were in an unseemly rush to support Lennon's right to make the statement. Let's all hope, Kevin Clancy is not giving Kristoffer Ajer the wink tomorrow.
  12. High tempo for an hour, we will be comfortable, give the appropriate players necessary rest. Above is the ideal, the reality is to quickly pass our way around Dicker, Power, and the third member of the tight triangle. Get at their central two.
  13. As long as we are not condemned to referring to him as, 'French Olly'.
  14. I believe the Compliance Officer made ten interventions last season reference Rangers? What are Peter's instructions reference the Compliance Officer this season? We should be told.
  15. Festive felicitations to all.
  16. Stevie G is bringing a quiet confidence to these problematic games. It's our tempo, Hibs, 'Well, ra Sellik, and Young Boys could not live with it. Of course, we have to find a better way of managing the tempo, look at the last twenty minutes against Young Boys. We did not play Hibs at Easter Road, we played with them on their own midden. Ryan Porteous was the epitome of expected frustration.
  17. Jum Spence lectures on this type of thing, has an abacus and everything. A couple of sell-out Saturdays, a wee bit of contrition, and eating curried pehs on an industrial scale; everything will be all right. Oor Jum, your Jum, a'body's Jum.
  18. Thank You. Such an inspiration to Roy Wood.
  19. Flowers in the Rain. Apparently, tomorrow evening on BBC Scotland 2, there is a 25th anniversary show lasting one hour. It is a celebration of BBC Radio Scotland's, 'Off the Ball' presented by both DrStu' and Tam Cowan. It is described as petty and ill-informed and promises the hilarious inside story. I am sure there will be lots of anecdotes from all the usual suspects, the cacophony of thigh slapping will grow to a crescendo, only matched by DrStu's sniggering hypocrisy. Conveniently, no one involved in contributing will remember that Rangers supporters were habitually referred to as, 'H-u-ns' during the first several years of the show? The first year saw Tam Cowan and Gregory Hemphill present the show, it was quite sketch show based, with Greg mostly impersonating the then SFA supremo, Jim Farry. It was a dry stick and DrStu was brought in to provide extra edge. It soon became obvious that the cutting edge was utilised to lacerate 'the H-u-ns'. A conveyor belt of fanzine Editors came into the studios and filled their boots, dehumanising, demonising, and marginalising the H-u-ns. Notably, no Rangers 'zine Editor would trap and in the name of balance they found a Janitor from a Largs Primary School to represent Bears. In true DrStu' scripting, the lad was always presented with the sobriquet, 'the H-u-n with a Heart'! Now, I have no doubt that such conditioning is embarrassing these days, and we will be urged to forget it occurred. DrStu has been quite anxious these last few years that the Rangers Tax Case Blog is forgotten. We are also encouraged to forget DrStu' s usage of sectarian language in print, bellowing, and constant expressive hatred in his dozen year Daily Record column. DrStu' is a father these days, in his 68th year. He has a 7 year old son, and when not waxing lyrical about his unique charm, he is actively fund raising for the lad's school. A 25th anniversary show is about posterity and DrStu' does not want his son to know his bigoted past. It's only three years past, since BBC Scotland decided to update, 'Only a Game' on it's 30th anniversary. DrStu' took over William McIlvanney's role as Narrator to bring everything up to date. Reasonable enough, no one was more actively involved in the RTC Blog, and he was most anxious to be heard on the matter. My one complaint was how DrStu' glossed over the single most significant piece of racism to occur in the Scottish game. Mark Walters debut at Celtic Park was on the 2nd of January'88, only two years into his thirty year remit from '86 to '16. He ignored it, completely. This is surprising form the big soulful soulster who never tires of telling how injustice, particularly racial injustice keeps him awake at night? Well, if he says it did not happen, it did not happen; and it will be the same tomorrow evening, DrStu' does not have a bigoted bone in his body. He is just sitting watching flowers in the rain, watching his garden grow. It's the thing about Off the Ball, it was the in, that lead to the weekly 'Media Review' where DrStu' uses another voice. Similarly, anecdotes reference his young son are often told proving his greater sensitivity than most politicians. Nicola is the exception, "she hasn't put a foot wrong" but DrStu' does not want to be viewed, "as a Bute House sook". Most Rangers supporters are on the same page here, we see you as a self publicising sycophant. These last dozen years, the show has continually lapsed into a constant stream of self publicity. Tam and DrStu' continue because of the exposure on the national broadcaster. Dinner Nights to be hosted, Book launches to be attended, Speaking engagements to be performed, book signings to be conducted, .................. etc DrStu particularly tells story after story where Channel 4 would have fell on it's ar-se, if DrStu' had not stepped in and brought his foresight and penetrative thought to bear. It's all so worthy because it's all for charidee. Ah mean, what is more worthy than fund raising for your son's primary school? Hosting an Edith Piaf tribute concert for the denizens of Dennistoun, or co-hosting, 'an Evening with Stuart and Tam' at St Lukes, launching a press conference at A'Challtainn, ........ all publicised above any other worthy acts. It's worth it, the Chair of St Dennis's PTA praised DrStu', "a valuable member of the St Dennis family". I don't know if this is because the substantial funds raised, or is it the venues of said events are all withing thirty yards of the Squirrel Bar, HQ of the Green Brigade? Tam got his appeat in on Saturday night, asking the Ref' to be aware of Morelos, his diving and wee kick-outs off the ball. You see the power of the national broadcaster/ Anyways, the similarity between all those bright young things on the steps of Broadcasting House in 1967, about to take the reigns of BBC Radio One. If a Gersnetter could post that black and white photo, I would be obliged. There's Pete Murray, Tony Blackburn, David Jacobs, Kenny Everette, Jimmy Saville, John Peel, DLT, Ed Stewart, David Hamilton, Terry Wogan, .................. etc. How quickly it became about opening supermarkets, Disco and Club appearances, plugging their own discs, and their own political pronouncements. It sums up BBC Scotland best these days. It is all about cultivation and making one's garden grow. May I suggest an idea for DrStu's fund raiser for his son's school next year? St Dennis was an early Christian martyr. suffered decapitation. Incredibly, St Denis shook off the shock, picked up his head and walked the several miles back into Paris; all the while preaching a sermon on repentance. If DrStu' replicates, I'll chip in, it will make a change from him constantly talking out his arse?
