  1. Gang Hut state of mind? It's Wednesday evening and Jane Lewis is hosting Sportsound. The topic of conversation is, "Neil". A former Sellik TV guy, Michael Stewart, a former Sellik goalkeeper, Gemma Fey, and another Sellik Blogger, John Paul Dykes. Everyone shot their mouths off about, 'Shoot the Board'. Tricky rules were employed, you cannot say, 'Green Brigade' and Neil has no surname. Any random reference to McCann and Doncaster would demand the full Sunday titles. An hour of Neil is the PQ Gang Hut state of mind. Across 110th Street. Bobby Womack wrote the tune, told the tale New York being two towns. Across 110th Street and the scene changes, a world of pimps, junkies, pushers, hookers, ....... it's a strive to survive. The lights of Manhattan, Broadway, Brooklyn, etc did not illuminate so far. There are semi-autobiographical lines, Womack was the third brother of five and he sang his way out of the Cleveland Ghetto. A rotter too, married Sam Cooke's widow within ten weeks of his murder, then went on to sexually molest his 16 year old step-daughter. Anyways, the song remains the epitome of early 70s funk. It's like PQ, half a mile from Ibrox, the BBC Scotland high heid-yins can see the Stadium from their fifth and sixth floor office windows. Thus, not exactly out of sight out of mind. Friday morning and you access BBC Ceefax football pages and you are confronted by five headlines : 1. Tottenham beat Antwerp to win group. 2. Arsenal top group with 100% record. 3. Leicester edge Braga to top Group G. 4. Celtic 'baby steps' hearten Lennon. 5. Martindale a changed man - Livi' Chief. We are informed that all English clubs participating in the Europa Cup have won their respective groups and are looking forward to Monday's last 32 draw. We are informed of the lightening of Neil's mood and told of the improving demeanour of a West Lothian Gangster. Obviously, across Govan Road is too far for the Gang Hut, a Scottish club winning their Europa Cup group and looking forward to the draw, has been disappeared. To be fair to PQ, they put up an article on their website on Friday morning : 'Steven Gerrard - Rangers manager edging towards European record'. Several paragraphs of misinformation and disinformation. According to PQ, Rangers top managers in Europe are; Smith 23 wins, Advocaat 22 wins, Gerrard 22 wins, Souness 10 wins, and McLeish 9 wins. No mention of John Greig's 11 wins, or the best of them all so far, Scot Symon on 28 wins. Seriously, what's worse? Being not mentioned when every other British club participating is credited favourably, or publishing half-cooked, half researched, couldnae be arsed nonsense? Thinking about it, Bobby Womack was not that bad, just a product of his conditioning.
  2. Davie Provan will be raging. It's well known that King Billy was a Lucozade fiend. After crossing the Boyne, he stopped to have a quick gargle of the sugar laced aerated water. I expect his Sunday column will be preaching the soothing balm that is limeade?
  3. Our first goal on Sunday against Ross County, scored by Roofe, highlights the new role played by Morelos. He came deep, dragging the County centre back with him, Davis plays the ball inside the left back and Tavenier hits the bye-line. The resulting cross sees Roofe get across the other centre back to the near post first. If Morelos had not came deep, his following centre half would have blocked Tav's cross ball.
  4. D'Artagnan used to regularly post on Gersnet. It must be over a year since his last? Agreed, informed and sound poster. Of course, one proviso! I understand he is a former Bootneck, thus a complete and utter cnut. In the grand scheme of things, one of the better complete and utter cnuts. What has happened to him?
  5. Bully for the Bully. It's only three, four weeks past on BBC Radio Scotland that Craig Levein was asked as to the reasoning that began his ongoing feud with Michael Stewart? Unhesitatingly, he answered stating the first day at Hearts training ground, he noted Stewart bullying young players, "shouting at young players, never accepting his own responsibility, I thought he is a bully". On Sunday evening last, BBC Scotland's Sportscene carried highlights of Rangers visit to Dingwall. The show was hosted by Jonathan Sutherland, the guests were Shaun Maloney and Michael Stewart. Just before half time, there was a foul on Morelos by Vigurs. As the Columbian lay prostrate, Michael Gardyne leaned over and reputedly made a homophobic remark. Rangers players, James Tavenier, Connor Goldson, and Morelos all heard what was said. Immediately, the former two remonstrated with the Referee. The Rangers manager challenged the official on the pitch as he blew for half-time. Speculation has been rife in both broadcast and print media, Ross County have assured us, a club investigation will be undertaken. The facts are three Rangers players heard the remark, the manager admits he was told of it by his players, and Ross County's boss, Kettlewell offers he knows what the reason the Referee cautioned his player, because he was present in the tunnel at half time when the action took place. It's the third time in a calendar year that Michael Stewart has utilised BBC Scotland to vent his preferred prejudice. He went after Morelos demanding the Compliance Officer take action. He went after the then departing Rangers PR, Jim Traynor on Kenny MacIntyre's show, despite several warnings that Traynor was not present to defend himself. He finished that diatribe with, "I don't like the way Rangers do things as a club". On Sunday, he offered a different perspective. He wan't in Dingwall but confidently proclaimed, "we have one Rangers player who thinks he heard something, this should be dropped, no need for Compliance Officer involvement". This deliberate calumny went unchallenged by the objective host. Jonathon Sutherland is on the naughty step, recently leaving the wife and son for a fellow BBC Scotland presenter, Siobhan McInness who is half his age. Shaun stared into the middle distance. Michael Stewart's actions were those of a Bully. He decided to run interference on any investigation and was not patient enough to wait on Ross County's internal investigation's findings. Michael began the season as a member of Sellik TV. After three months, he left, or was let go? Such is the transparency in new, modern Scotland. BBC License fee payers don't need to know. I would like to know how many more times is Michael Stewart going to be allowed unchallenged to tell deliberate lies about Rangers because, "I don't like the way they do things as a club"?
  6. We must see Jackson for what he is. Klaxon Jackson is a co-driver on the Boris Clown Car, competing with Noddy and Big Ears in the Clown Car Rally. Society should be thankful to Klaxon, Apollo 15's module landed on his face, subsequently the moon buggy was trialed on his visog for three months.
  7. Finished 1-1 at ra Stade de Gadd. Reported : Currently, two Regiments of ra Green Brigade are moving two Trebuchets along both London Road and the Gallowgate. Police Scotland are monitoring events from behind the barriers, but have taken the decision to light the kindling underneath several cauldrons of oil. The siege of Dalriada Street begins. BBC Scotland Sports News Correspondent, Chris McLaughlin will continue to report on happening events in the proximity of Parkhead from atop a white unicorn.
  8. A longer stud? It's forty years since I played the game in any serious manner and I know football boots have been subject to quarter of a century of engineering. In saying that, the number of Rangers players skiting and skating on that surface? Ross County players appear to have lesser problems. Perhaps a few need a longer stud in their boots in the second half, particularly defenders needing to turn quickly?
  9. It's a blessing we are only on the Ibrox pitch twice(Motherwell and Hibs) before the end of the year. I believe the Fir Park Groundsman began at Ibrox, served his apprenticeship before heading off to England. His work at 'Well has been a minor miracle.
  10. I note Peter has ordered the construction of a metal fence around ra Stade de Gadd. Apparently, the thought of revolting Green Brigaders has stimulated this action. St Johnstone, a team undefeated in the last eleven games are visiting the chamber of secrets to face ra Sellik, two wins in the last ten matches. Peter appears fearful
  11. Just over a week and three of those eleven games have come and gone. Two Europa Cup group matches, one draw against Benfica and another win over Standard Liege; ensuring qualification to the last 32 for second successive year. This time with one game remaining against Lech Poznan in Poland. Do we field our strongest team and attempt to win Group D? Advantages are an extra half million pounds and seeded in the first part of the knock-out stages. Disadvantages are increased likelihood of injuries, strains, and more exposure to Covid. Still, aim achieved. The other match played was a comfortable 0-4 victory in the League Cup away to Falkirk. We made seven changes and have fortunately avoided further distress on plastic, by drawing St Mirren away in the quarter-final. We are presented with a similar dilemma, play our strongest team to ensure progress to the semis, or continue the measured approach by making several changes. Advantages and disadvantages are similar too; however, as stated earlier, Gerrard needs silverware and we have been presented with our best opportunity in five years because of ra Sellik's elimination. Mentioning our separated brethren invites the question of the six league games? Do we compare and contrast their fixtures or ignore completely and do our own thing without compromise? It's eighteen points, an opportunity to build real momentum, the type of momentum that propels our club to the cusp of our first title in a decade. Our injury list remains similar, Nicola Katic is long term and the team metronome, Ryan Jack continues to nurse a long term knee injury. Covid has visited too, Hellander, Jones, and Edmundson are not available for Sunday's visit to Dingwall. One more centre back injury and we are looking at patch repairs. Dundee United have announced today, nine players in isolation but will play tomorrow's match against Livi'. They don't know what state they will find themselves in, come next week's fixture against Rangers at Tannadice. The SPFL having given ra Sellik nine days off in early January because Peter wanted it, followed up with awarding three 3-zip victories to Motherwell and Accies because of Covid postponed fixtures. Can we rely on the SPFL doing the same for Rangers? Neil Doncaster, Rod ra Fraud, and Murdoch MacLennan are our friends, aren't they? One game at a time continues.
  12. Standard have more energy, more fluidity, appear stronger, and pinned us for a full thirty minutes. Our first attempt came in the 31st minute from a quick turn and shot from Morelos. Can Liege keep it up? Our first equaliser came from our first set piece, the second from a fortunate penalty. We need a bigger presence in midfield, it would stop Standard's forward movement and give us more of a platform to begin attacks. I would take the final whistle now, we're through and no knowing injuries. If we win it, I'll take that too.
  13. Buster, You continue to breathe? Hopefully, you are here to stay? I thought you were Oscar Mike, yomping to Bootneck heaven. Still, suddenly appearing on a thread, full of threaders is gopping behaviour. Exhibit your charm.
  14. When the RST was launched in 2003, it was already two minutes to midnight. Under the Companies Act, anyone owning in excess of 90% of the Equity could take the club private; thus no accounts and no AGMs. Murray owned 91.8% of the equity. Remember, he had departed the scene, leaving McClelland as Chair and Bain in charge. The first three years were all about grabbing the narrative and annoying Murray. It worked in that he returned and agreed to sell us shares by trances until his equity had been sufficiently reduced.
  15. Well done you, the head rules the heart. You are correct of course, something bordering on indifference is the way to go. Individual and collective discipline in face of overwhelming emotional demands. My problem is when I rationalise it, I find it gives me a feeling of immense well being when they are subjected to aa embarrassing thrashing.
  16. It's Chris! BBC Scotland's Sports News Correspondent, Chris McLaughlin finally appeared on last evening's Sportsound. Twenty minutes of soothing narrative, he read out Peter's statement and assured the listenership that Dermot was, "absolutely appalled at events on Sunday evening". Further, Neil will lead the team to Milan. It became difficult to hear Chris, maybe he had a sore throat? However, I suspect he was free styling when he added, "If Celtic avoid a shoeing, if they don't get the run around in Milan, he will remain in the dug out for St Johnstone on Sunday". The Sportsound show was set up for the Scotland - Finland female international, and host Jane Lewis turned to Julie Fleeting and Steven Thomson. Chris was off. Next week, Chris sticks his tongue in Neil's ear!
  17. I remember Lambert had the full backing of the Albertz knee, Paul was spitting blood after.
  18. Where's Chris? BBC Scotland's Sports News Correspondent did a one minute piece to camera from his home on Friday. He looked distressed, describing the pain of Prague. Neil promised a, "change of culture" but another 4-1 humping ensued at the hands of Sparta. Chris lamented the loss of European football. Chris did not mention Rangers, nor their continued topping of Europa Cup Group D, and ignored the fact that another Scots club had played in the same competition the night before. Chris did not appear on BBC Radio Scotland's Friday evening Sportsound. Studio discussion before the Scot's women international against Portugal, concluded Neil Lennon's future was bleak. However, immediately there was opportunity for ra Sellik legend to turn it all around by defeating Ross County on Sunday. Saturday's On the Ball took the Chris McLaughlin line, did not mention Rangers 2-2 draw against Benfica, and chose not to discuss the Lennon situation at Sellik. Hardly surprising, it's only fifteen months past that Cosgrove was heavily promoting Lennon as the next national manager. I know it's hard to believe that DrStu' promoted a man accused of assaulting and threatening the women in his life, in new, modern Scotland? Chris failed to trap on Saturday's Sportsound too. Big Dick adhered to the Tom English narrative. Tom knows Dermot, he's a tough businessman, and a strong character. Peter and Dermot are very close, Neil has their confidence. We know this because Neil told of the Friday afternoon zoom call. Europe has gone and Lawwell and Lennon can both take a share of the blame. "Celtic are domestic bullies" says Tom, and can continue in that vein, "starting tomorrow against Ross County". Sunday's Sportsound has Jane Lewis, Liam McLeod, Pat Bonner, Billy Dodds, ....... etc. Where's Chris? We hear live commentary of the calamity, a hard earned 0-2 result for the Staggies. Pat is fizzing, Billy names five players in green'n'grey that "have chucked it". A post match interview with Neil revealed, "today's result doesn't help". Over to Grangemouth, still no mention of Rangers Thursday evening exertions, a comfortable 0-4 occurs and events in the Stade de Gadd car park take precedent. Truly it's amazing, we are subjected to any number of descriptions of the grouping of Yahoos kicking over barriers, lobbing missiles at both Police and exiting players/staff, and vitriolic chanting directly aimed at Neil Lennon. A minority, young and entitled, have not known anything other than success. Anything and everything other than, the Green Brigade. Tom English, Richard Gordon, Michael Stewart, Stuart Cosgrove, .... etc have all lionised and eulogised this mob on numerous occasions. They have congratulated them on their displays, their witty banners, their noise, their created atmosphere, and their political aims and aspirations. They have nurtured the Green Brigade and even after Sunday evening's events, still cannot name them. Monday's Sportsound has Kenny MacIntyre, Tom English, Craig Levein, and Gary Caldwell. A further two Sellik Podcasters are invited on to the show, Sean McDonald and Stephen Wray. Tom loves the Podcasting duo, "ah the lads are spot on". Wait a minute, both want to see the back of Neil, like yesterday. Both are wary of Peter Lawwell, both mention his considerable remuneration, and both think an interim manager is necessary. I was waiting on Tom's, 'ah know Dermot' speech, but like Chris, it failed to appear. We can only assume Chris remains standing atop the Hinshelwood grassy knoll, he has issued a total of two tweets in four days reference the current Sellik situation. What is the point of a decade's worth of full throated consummation of every cheesy green'n'grey cock presented, if Chris cannot give us, the License fee payers, those crucial interviews with the main players? It would appear ra Sellik now agree with Rangers, Chris McLaughlin is not worth talking to.
