  1. Good choice, love that period of the Stones. I wanna rawk the Playschool vibe. I wonder children, whose hair is Sandy wearing today? Is it Keef's, Mick's, Bill's, Charlie's, or the other Mick's? Let's hope Sandy leaves by the arched window.
  2. A fuller report to follow. Today, I attended a lunch down in Helensburgh with a few old University pals. One of the lads is a Junior football fanatic, never misses a home match at Newlandsfield, home of Pollok. He was invited to a fund raising dinner for Benburb's social club last weekend. I seem to remember Benburb's social club had been seriously damaged in a fire. Anyways, the speakers were DrStu' and Sanjeev Kholi. He described both as turgid; Cosgrove bombed, sat down to a grudging ripple of applause after 15 minutes. Failed to connect with any of his numerous faces. Kholi lasted ten minutes more, receiving similar reaction. The consensus around the table was school fees must be due.
  3. See what twenty-odd years of Dandy Dons supporters attending ra Stade de Gadd and belting out, 'we hate Rangers more thjan you' gets you. Rewarded with the bland term, 'football fans'.
  4. If we should progress to the quarter-final match at Pittodrie, let's hope Scott McKenna has learned to behave himself?
  5. Frankie's retort to Sutherland is most valid. Last night's Sportscene's trio grudgingly admitted Power should have received a red card. They failed to mention it was Power who did Graham Dorrans too, constituting a year long injury. What is Sutherland's excuse for leading debate on Morelos into loss of value in the transfer market because of indiscipline? Alfredo has received the same number of straight red cards this season as Aberdeen's McKenna, can we expect his suitors to lop off a few million? Remember Jonathon, your club has a new stadium to build and every penny is a prisoner. Further, the four minutes and 55 seconds highlights of Sellik v Hibs last Wednesday chose NOT to show Scott Brown's challenge, a tackled flagged by Pat Bonner on BBC Radio Scotland as a possible red.
  6. Good News? Mark Horne reporting in Saturday's Times, BBC Scotland have shed in excess of 200,000 listeners in two years. It's audience reach was 749,000 in the final three months of last year, down from 839,000 in the same quarter the previous year, and 952,000 in 2016. A BBC Scotland spokesman said, "It's a competitive time for radio, with listeners consuming their content in many different ways". Further, "we will continue to listen to our audience, and adapt to provide the content they love, where and when they want it". "BBC Radio Scotland still has the second largest weekly reach of any station in Scotland and during the last quarter of 2018, listeners spent more time with us than during the same period the previous year". The figures came as BBC Scotland prepares to launch it's £32 million TV channel on February 24th. What a bland statement from BBC Scotland's spokesman, he/she must work on Sportscene, if they cannot be named.
  7. Newspaper in commercial agreement(prints and distributes both ra Sellik View and match day programme) with football club presents current view of said club by proxy.
  8. A failed appeal adds another match ban, hence 3 match ban for Morelos.
  9. Ah, more good news for the members of the PQ Gang Hut. The Pomagne has been shelved, chilled bottles of Cremant de Brendan are waiting to be necked. Chris is in a lather for the froth.
  10. Result, celebrations in the PQ Gang Hut tonight and tomorrow. Pomagne corks are a popping.
  11. Frank and Ollie's Dive Shack daily blackboard mantra : If you want to thrive on a dive, ask for a powder with your chowder.
  12. Wonderful, I foresee a 'Frank and Ollie Dive Shack' opening soon. Deep sea treasure awaits.
  13. 'Lacking Class' is the latest line of attack. I note Frank McAvennie accusing Rangers of lacking class in this morning's papers. Of course, Frank is a first class deep sea treasure hunter?
  14. Here's an idea for the Editor of BBC Scotland's soon to be launched second channel, James Cook. Now, James successfully passed the PQ Rite of Passage, he and his then Producer apologised for re-Editing an interview with the then manager of Rangers, Ally McCoist. They deliberately set out to make McCoist appear callously disinterested in sectarianism. The show is entitled, 'Strictly Gang Hut'. It would be a wholly legitimate BBC Scotland celebration of Hatred. Go ahead James, you know you want to.
  15. Again, this relevant to BBC Scotland effectively deciding what Rangers player(s) are cited. In their continual bombast reference clarity and transparency, particularly on the appeals issue ie weeks of whining after Morelos having his last Pittodrie red card rescinded. It should be pointed out that Sportscene is the only show on TV that does NOT run credits. Who decided that Brown's knee high challenge was left on the cutting room floor? We ask, in the interests of clarity and transparency.
  16. I know I am repeating points made on another thread. On BBC Radio Scotland, Pat Bonner's half-time report mentioned Brown's challenge as a possible red card. It was not raised at full time. Sportscene did not include a knee high challenge in five turgid minutes. Nothing to discuss, it was vanished. This is strategic, BBC Scotland did not want anything to run interference with their Rangers/Morelos/McGregor narrative.
  17. Back in the day, Stefan Bienkoski edited his own fanzine, 'TheTwoPointOne'. A current day Jum Spence. Of course, PQ are attracted to Stefan because he is a BIG Sellik man. What was Stefan's take on today's sentencing of Frank Cairney?
  18. 'Derek' wandered into the Rangers dressing room to sing descant.
  19. The PQ Narrative. Timeline - Tuesday morning Thursday morning(Sportscene highlights 00.15 to 01.15). Tuesday morning starts with BBC Scotland's website preview of Wednesday evening's game at Pittodrie, 'an Aberdeen win will see them leap frog Rangers into a more familiar second place'. Tyrone(real name, honest) Smith reminds the readership, 'a position they've occupied for the last four years'. To license fee paying Rangers supporters, this has become a familiar narrative, whether it's Aberdeen, Killie, Hibs, .... etc the opposition has aspiration invested. Here are the prizes to be attained. Rangers and Rangers supporters aspirations are ignored. By Tuesday evening's Sportsound, there is a deliberate attempt to not to include Rangers as part of the chasing pack. Resources are to the fore, 'Derek' is proud his team continue to compete given the gulf in resources. Further, 'Derek' has Gerrard's number, this will be a fourth attempt this season, to obtain a victory over the Dandies. Liam McLeod prefers to frame it as, 'Aberdeen against a class above Aberdeen'. Wednesday morning/afternoon reinforces the message, Aberdeen can take second place, in fact a win for both Aberdeen and Killie will see Rangers reduced to fourth. We are still waiting for the possible league placing should Rangers win? Wednesday evening's Sportsound was a car crash, a multiple pile up on the motorway. Big Dick chairing, Liam McLeod commentating, joined by Wullie Miller and Neil McCann. The grievances come thick and fast. Clearly, McLeod does not think Rangers are worthy of a 1-3 half time scoreline. Big Dick puts meat on the bones, he has seen a re-run of the lead-up to Rangers third goal(the penalty) on the paragon of objectivity known as, 'Red TV'. A flickering monitor just to his front tells him there was no foul to award Rangers a free kick, McKenna was claiming offside because Red TV had shown a Rangers player being offside, and McKenna's arm being in an unnatural position, he can understand the ref's award. The clarity of Red TV, maybe we should pay our license fees to them, probably less bias? Pat Bonner's half time report from ra Stydome mentions a heavy challenge from Brown, he was booked, could have possibly been red? After the game, the focus is on McGregor; Liam, Big Dick, and Tyrone want Allan to be cited. There is a hot line from PQ to the Compliance Officer. Wullie Miller offers the defence of experienced player protecting himself from on rushing callow youth, it's ignored. Currently, Morelos has a PQ standing of flawed genius. His red cards are reamed off, must have an impact on his value. We were not informed of McKenna's continuing petulance in these fixtures; well, it might affect his value? Tyrone Smith's post match interview with 'Derek' was a venting of the Dandy spleen. Sportscene spat the most venom. Jonathon Sutherland had watched the game inside the PQ gang hut with the gruesome twosome. All those aspirations had evaporated as soon as Defoe's powerful drive hit the net. Wee Jonny's body language betrayed him, leaning forward, continually turning and extending his arms, helpless in a fugue of hatred. They ran through the litany of charges against Rangers, tried us by TV, convicted us, and passed sentence. The only show on TV without credits did not show Scott bRown's possible red card challenge, we do not know the name of the possible PQ Editor that ensured that particular clip fell on the cutting room floor. PQ conveniently forgot all those cries for transparency, so prevalent last weekend. Sportscene ended where it had begun, Sutherland spat, "title race, what title race, Celtic are a comfortable six points ahead". Still, Rangers and Rangers supporters are denied aspiration.
  20. I know, I know! Is BBC Radio Scotland's Liam McLeod hurting? His half time summary was thus : "does the half time score reflect the game so far"? Neil McCann says, "yes". Running through the goals, he comes to Rangers third and grudgingly settles for, "the referee adjudged Scott McKenna handled the ball".
  21. Well, let's hope Jeremy wins the election and takes the correct decision to nationalise your dismembered member? It would allow any interested party to ride it at a peppercorn rate. Bringing this back on track, I am sure I read last year that Denmark is the only country in Europe that continues to manufacture Spam? Memories of the County of Lanarkshire school dinners flood my mind, Spam fritters were unforgivable. I believe the issue of compensation can be legitimately raised?
  22. Clearly, your history did not manifest itself into anything large enough for discussion?
  23. Steve Clarke is increasingly encouraged to voice opinion on everything, currently he is the darling of PQ. Opinionating on Rangers is the path of least resistance and in 99% of cases, will garner waiting support. He has crossed a line on his comments on Saturday's penalties being awarded. He knows his comments will not be recovered if he is embarrassed by them in future. Remind me what Clarke said reference Alfredo's fourth goal at Rugby Park in the League Cup game earlier this season? Clarke has taken Lennon's crown.
