Yet again Speirs, son of a Church of Scotland minister, spends a great deal of time penning a piece about the club he supports. Yet again he will be pilloried on here and on other forums because he is openly disgusted by the bigotry that continues to be displayed by a minority of the support which he himself, like it or not dear readers, is part of. *Dons riot gear* It's a long quiet summer, thought I'd start a fight:devil: What say you chaps?

Smart design, not liking the squares one bit. Retro in a tacky as opposed to cool way. I was hoping for an England style strip:(

Would agree that Real have the better players on paper, but Barca are a well oiled machine. Mon the Barca! P.S Kaka is more of a midfielder than a front man so this poll is actually just silly:):box:

Or maybe the club didn't know this was how things would pan out. Just a thought. Perhaps Valencia have done a U-turn? But hey, any opportunity to get a dig in at the people running the club, eh? :box:

Let's go away and compare the Brunt and Charlie Adam Youtube compilations shall we?

Like I said , great news. Here's a more fleshed out article from the retard: Rangers delight as Valencia youngster Aaron returns to Ibrox Jul 2 2009 VALENCIA youngster Aaron admits he can't wait to return to Rangers after starring for Spain's under-20 side at the Mediterranean Games in Italy. The on-loan winger, who had been touted to return to Valencia, has been a standout for his country at the tournament in Pescara, scoring twice as his team has reached the final. Aaron netted as he played the full 90 minutes in their opening 2-2 draw with Tunisia on June 25 and struck again as a substitute in a 3-0 win over Albania four days later. The 20-year-old then turned in his best performance of the tournament last night as France were beaten 2-1 in the semi-finals. Aaron played 75 minutes of that triumph and now he's looking forward to going for the gold medal against the host nation on Sunday. It had been reported on June 8 that Aaron would be returning to the Mestalla stadium after Valencia opted to cut short his two-year loan to Rangers. However, following a major turn of events the youngster now has one eye on next season and he's hoping it can be a landmark campaign for him as he tries to establish himself at Ibrox. With manager Walter Smith set to make more use of the club's up-and-coming talents next term, the Spaniard feels confident he can make an impact. Aaron made five appearances for Rangers in 2008/09 - four as a substitute - and scored twice in the Scottish Cup against Forfar Athletic and Hamilton. He said: "Valencia wanted me to go back to them for this season but I was keen to come back to Rangers. "I am due to spend one more year at the club and I want to stay there. I think it is a good place for me to be and I want to help the team to do well. "I am hopeful I can play more football than I did in my first season in Scotland because I have got used to the game there now and I feel I have improved. "I was very happy in Glasgow and I'm looking forward to going back there and trying to win more trophies for the club." Aaron has been pleased with his performances in Italy over the last week as he has continued to make an impression at international level. The likelihood is - as is the case with Madjid Bougherra and DaMarcus Beasley - he will be given extra time off after playing football through the summer. Most of Smith's squad will report back to Murray Park for pre-season training next Thursday as they start preparing for their SPL title defence. But while Aaron should get a few extra days off, he's eager to return to Auchenhowie too and show he's ready for regular first-team football with the Light Blues. Aaron celebrates winning the SPL with Nacho NovoHe added: "Things have gone very well for me in Italy. We drew our first game 2-2 and I scored then I got another goal against Albania. "I feel I have been playing some good football, especially against France in the semi-final. I didn't score in that game but for me, it was my best match. "Now we have the final against Italy at the weekend and that should be an exciting game because they are the host country. "When we finish here, I will be looking forward to coming back to Rangers and it will be good to get back to training there. "I am not sure if I will get extra time off or not because I have been playing in Italy. I will have to speak to the manager about that. "But even if I get a few more days off to go home and relax, I will be keen to come back to Rangers after that and get started again." He's clearly quite special when given the chance. Anyone know if we can catch this tourney anywhere?

Tonel and Hutton please. Dailly and Kyle please god no.

Happy about this if it turns out to be true. By all accounts he has enormous potential. Let's see him fulfill it.

Indeed SA, 500k is a disgraceful amount. I fully expect us to accept it. I also agree with Norris's sentiments about him being left footed and therefore worth keeping in the hope that he can improve his all round game and fine tune his already impressive set-peice ability. How many dead ball experts do we have? Remember when Fleck had his short run in the team and was taking all the corners and set pieces? I think that showed our paucity in that department; a 17 yr old walking into a world famous team and hitting all the dead balls, no questions asked. As for him being popular at every team he's been on loan at (St.Mirren and Blackpool) I wouldn't take that as a reason to keep him as they operate far below the level of the SPL champions. His fitness has always been an issue. So there are arguments on both sides but I think I'll come down on the side of giving him another year. He's still very young and can get better with the right people around him. Unfortunately if he does stay I suspect he'll be stuck out wide when his best position is in the middle or at least tucked in a bit.

Benzema to Madrid -35m, That's 1/4 Billion Euros now!
Cotter replied to Cotter's topic in General Football Chat
Just watching this unfold on Sky Sports News. Apparantley Madrid have a credit line of ââ??¬800m and are hoping to offfset some of their incredible spending by raising ââ??¬90m through sales of current players. I can't see that happening if they're only managing to get Ã?£4.5m for for possibly the best "wee nippy" striker about, Javier Saviola. SSN also saying that Manure had agreed a deal with Lyon for Benzema when Madrid came in and offered a, ahem, paltry ââ??¬6m more. Strange to think Manure couldn't match that with the Ronaldo money now in the bank. -
Sellick, I invite you to get it right up you:flipa::spl:

Cheers Ally, that seems fine. All winnable without boogie indeed.

McCulloch? You havin a laugh? He ruined his own reputation, not us. Useless.
-
Is he the massive guy? Only seen bits of the confed cup but I thought he looked impressive. Unfortunately, as Norris says, he's never played against us so we won't know who he is. And Standard liege don't play in the Championship so absolutely no chance.

Horrendous hearts strips. That collar looks like it's glued on from another strip. Jesus.

Is the new England shirt Umbro? IMO that is seriously smart. Best football top I've seen in years. Five stars would sit nicely on one of those. More likely we'll be stuck wi sub standard pish yet again. Nike/Adidas please!

How times have changed. These days I actually hope our better (foreign) players perform poorly for their national teams so they don't draw attention to themselves. I remember the same feeling in 2008 when we were all willing those pesky impartial English commentators to shut up about Cuellar in the European games. Gaun yersel Madjid, when you're wearing blue...:spl:
