  1. Not many here relishing the prospect of King Carlos possibly returning. Bring back the waist height reverse headers I say!!! I'd still let him shag my wife.
  2. Wilson and Bartley? Hmm. Inexperienced.
  3. Agree with Craig here. Aye, he's being a prick in our eyes by going about it this way and I say good riddance to any player that wants away, but you can't blame the guy for widening his options by cutting his price. Edit: he's clearly been advised to do this as nobody's interested....
  4. Ally probably knows lego-eater quite well from the Scotland set up. If he were to room with Diouf for our European away games we may be able to mould him into a sapient being.
  5. It certainly seems odd that Whyte would publicly state in both the print media and on Rangers TV that there will be £25m over 5 seasons, with "front-ending" for the coming season if he couldn't follow through. Has he be lying to Coisty as well? Ally's come out and said that they're on the same page after meeting him. My first reaction was that the rumours stank of timothy but if you trust your source, Frankie.....well it's a bit worrying. Could it be chinese whispers in that it's not that there's no cash but the big signings being looked at happen to be bosmans?
  6. Who's been mentioning the figures? Sounds like a decent deal. Hopefully the injury situation improves with age as is often the case.
  7. Thanks for that mate. Sounds like he could be a good foil for Davis and a replacement for Edu. Done a bit of research myself and the fans don't have a bad word to say about him, which is always a good sign.
  8. Yep. One of the few technically gifted players at the club and someone who is worth the entrance fee on his day. Get him signed.
  9. I've seen next to nothing of Blackpool this season. What kind of midfielder is Vaughan?
  10. Plus one. No thanks.
  11. That's brilliant!! Genius.
  12. Openly citing wiki as "research" now is he....yawn....
  13. Maybe it was the Papish Anti Beard Brigade, Wilkinson Branch. Could have been a beard hating bear right enough.
  14. Aye I'm aware of that mate but do you think 2 out and out wingers would work? We would surely need a proper holding player al la.....Gatusso lol..
  15. Jelavic is the best striker we've had since Mols. I'm fully smitten. His subtlety of technique coupled with an acute awareness of those around him is something to behold. Wylde is just so refreshing the way he goes outside every time, never doubting his self like so many wingers who continually cut inside. His crossing is pretty special too. Could we accommodate Weiss and Wylde in the same team? I've seen Weiss do some stuff with the ball at his feet that only the likes of Ronaldo can match but Wylde's sheer rawness of style makes him more effective. Aye? Naw?
  16. Free to view http://www.rangerstv.tv/ Enjoy lads:D:uk: 4pm.
  17. High horses, attack dogs and me being a sad wee fellow, hiding in the shadows (i.e not posting as much as you, I must be sad) aside, I'd like to point out that at least Gazza and Gisabeer admit it was a fair cop my questioning the sudden attitude change. You, however have decided to go down your usual route of personal insults and general flapping. Why would you have the opinion of me that I only appear from the "shadows" of behind my laptop to kid on I'm an "attack dog"? Could it be that us German Shepards of the internet world can smell hypocrisy and bullshit a mile away? I hope you enjoyed WALTER'S DAY. WATP
  18. Haha, show us yer kebab hen!
  19. Doesn't take much insight to know you three have done nothing but slag him off for 3 years. That's all I'm saying mate.
  20. So Gazza_8 and Gisabeer have tapped out gushing eulogies and Maineflyer has "Sunday is Walter's Day" under his name. I wouldn't have expected anything less.
  21. You're right mate, it certainly has become a trend in the last decade or so. So what do we do? We hope that the new owner and the board take a look at the situation, get a proper scouting network in place and make the situation work for us. We moan constantly about the inflated prices and wages of Premiership players when conversely, we should be happily milking dry our position as one of the most obvious and viable routes into the premiership. I for one am desperate for a signing policy that takes advantage of our unique position. It might not sound like an attractive proposition to be the ultimate feeder club to the premiership but that is what we can be. We can make a fortune and enjoy the level of success we crave along the way. Such a policy requires fairly large initial outlays on young players that are already well known within their own leagues/countries. However our position as a highly successful club with a huge support competing in Europe should allow us to persuade the types of players we should be farming to come here. We have to be honest about where we stand in the grand scheme of things and start spending big on 22-24yr olds like Jelavic. This is where our pot of gold lies and it's never going to happen without a scouting network.
  22. Relatively unproven in terms of the big stage, but a consistent goal scorer over the past few years and now leading the line for Croatia. At 24, a player like Jelavic is easily worth the figures mentioned. *if* this story has any truth to it then Fergie (who clearly knows a player, proven or not) will be aware that we're not in the shit anymore and he'll need to pay if he wants the big man. Not the most far fetched rumour I'd venture.
  23. Jesus....we really can't keep a quality player for 2 minutes can we! 13 mil though
  24. Aye mate and timmy will be 3 up at that point!
  25. What the fuck??? Completely absurd. Nothing to do with us.
