Some info on the Fleck and Hutton loan deal situation
Cotter replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
Pretty pissed off Hutton is away TBH. Walter thought he was good enough to play at OT, I think he's a better footballer than Jig and Surely most folk would agree he's better than Edu. Feeling pretty despondent.... -
My mate's uncle is Fraser Wishart, Goodwillie's agent. We matched Blackburn's offer completely and they simply didn't want to sell to us.

Also @Govanallan, not sure what your trying to convey to me but you should know my last post was a bit tongue in cheek. I'm not one of the negative nancies on here....I'm far too old for football tops anyway.

Why would the Swedes lie, mate? It's getting later on in the window and we arrogantly expect them to be desperate for our offerings. I'm getting this season's top with "derisory" on the back. YAAAAS!!
-
It's a daft game to be playing with a team that just raked in millions for Lukaku.
-
Aaaaaaaaaand there it is.
-
I am strongly inclined to believe the line that we haven't bid enough. Seems a lot more plausible given our business so far.
-
Has he signed for them then????

Losing out on Goodwillie is particularly dissapointing. Ally must be feeling it big time as he made it clear he was a big fan even before he took over. Having said that he is the first in this long line of missed targets that I'm actually bothered about. I'm happy with Goian and Wallace looks a player. Ortiz looks like a good squad player, good technique, he could become more. Maybe as a full-back?. It's all been a little too quiet on the Cuellar front which makes me think, like many, that he's coming when he's fit and picking up the bucks in the meantime. I also suspect Ally is looking into the CM position given that Vaughan/Danns were targets and we haven't had a single player linked in that position since. Patient and optimistic loyal.

A £1m offer for Verhoek you say, Frankie? Is that not a bit low even for a starting offer? You don't get Dutch players of the year for less than Lee Wallace. Do you?
-
I see they're saying Cuellar's knocked us back. Are the Express a credible source??
-
Hmmm. If we get that much for him I'll be shocked. If true hopefully we can get two from Juhasz, Cuellar and Goian with the cash boost. Thanks for the memories big man, your wink will live on in smilies forever.:boogie:

In the article above mate. Although the same quotes have been used in other papers without any suggestion the deal has collapsed.

A move for Cuellar has broken down? Gutted. Absolutely gutted.

Rangers 1 v 1 Hearts - The Quest for 55 begins slowly
Cotter replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Hmm. Ortiz has taken Wylde's place in the team and offers no threat as far as I can see. Ortiz left and EDu on the right WTF? -
Lee Wallace will join today: OFFICIAL Wallace signs five year deal
Cotter replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Putting aside all the other potential deals that have been reported, signing a 23yr old widely regarded as the best Scottish LB around for a fee of £1m ish is great business. -
I've been scanning all the forums for any potential scrap of transfer info for weeks it seems, to little avail. Very frustrating. But fucking brilliant. It's so nice to actually have a sense of expectation again rather than dread. I still can't quite believe we came through that dark time as champions. Bring back The King!!!
-
Are there quotes in the article?
-
If you're not even a little excited at confirmation that we've had a bid accepted for The King there's something wrong with you!

Carlos Cuellar will hold talks with Rangers in the coming days, after Aston Villa accepted a transfer bid from the Ibrox club. A reported fee of Ã?£2 million has been agreed between the two sides, leaving Cuellar to decide whether he wants to return to Scotland three years after departing for the English Premier League. Cuellar is understood to be earning Ã?£40,000 per week at Villa Park, a wage which wouldn't be on offer at Rangers. But, speaking to STV on Friday, his agent Pedro Bravo wouldn’t be drawn on whether the player’s salary would prove a stumbling block. “I believe Aston Villa and Rangers have agreed a fee over Carlos Cuellar,” Bravo told STV. “Now I and Carlos need to speak to Rangers, but that is all I want to say.” Cuellar is currently injured and, speaking on his Twitter account this week, said he hoped to be running within the next two weeks after visiting a doctor in London. The defender left Rangers for the English Premier League in August 2008, heading south in a deal worth Ã?£7.8 million after just one season in the Scottish Premier League. Cuellar, who turns 30 in August, was a key figure in the Rangers backline as they reached the 2008 UEFA Cup final, making 65 appearances in the 2007/08 season. Rangers have until 11pm on Thursday, July 21 to register players to be eligible for their Champions League third qualifying round tie against either Malmo FF or HB Torshavn. Sorry posted this in rumours too. I'm a wee bit over excited.

Ally McCoist's acknowledgement we need players quickly
Cotter replied to bmck's topic in Rangers Chat
At least we've seen the end of all that bloody mushrooming. Nuisance. -
Now Ally's talking about marquee players and signings to make us say wow? Honestly the talk is at an all time high and the walk is, well, a Spanish utility player that Ian Durrant likes the look of. Kenny wouldn't make me say wow. He'd make me say 31 yr old strikers shouldn't be getting a look in at our top wage bracket, which is what he'll get if he's to return. BTW agree with Frankie it is odd that the fishul site reproduces some tabloid stuff and ignores others...

He really knows how to jinx things does our Ally. 48hrs FFS.
