Watched Everton v Chelsea yesterday. The change in Everton, with the same players who have under-performed all season, was amazing. We need to chase down, harry and hunt, show you want it for the manager. We need to play like they did.

God, that picture took me right back to when I got my first Rangers strip for Xmas.

Well, that's our breathing space gone now - we have to beat Keltic in our next meeting in the league. I'd happily trade the League Cup for that, though winning the latter will be a huge boost for either side.

Keltic have only got fined for their flares though and it wasn't their first offence. So unsure why we are facing a ground closure.

I remember after 1972 when we were banned for 2 years, the esteemed correspondent Brian Glanville pointed out that clubs should not be responsible for the behaviour of fans; he said something to the effect that a club has no more control over who chooses to follow it than it has the weather. That stuck with me.

Which begs the question? Whose fault is it? Look at the player Fleck has become; at the time we tried to turn him into some sort of Rooney but in fact he's turned out to be much more of a Billy Bremner type.

My point is he could have been playing for us! And regularly. With the upcoming talent we have (McPake, King, Mebude, Kennedy et al) we could be close to something like the Man U class of '92. Don't tell me most Rangers supporters would not want to see that? Otherwise we just harvest youngsters for the wealthy few.

I think this could be bad news. Gilmour would have been in our first team by now. King may have to wait years to get a sniff at Man C. or L'pool. We must have advisers who can ram home the point that it's not always about money.
