I remember we were singing, "All we are saying...is Give Jim a chance." I still have that programme too.

That match at Loftus Road: you sure it wasn't 1969 when we drew 3-3? I remember it well because it was Slim Jim's 'comeback' match.

Nor me. We sure needed some orthodox wing play out there. How often have you heard it said that the way to beat a packed defence is to go down the flanks? Neither Kent nor Hagi are wingers in the accepted sense and Barker is just not up to scratch. -
Just take it as a compliment to your erudition. "Nos Autem Populus."

Do you not think he's using metaphorical language? Mark Selby played ugly snooker against O'Sullivan but no punches were thrown.

"Anti-football" they called it - proud that we invented it!

Careful - I got roundly slaughtered for stating we founded in 1873 not 1872. Though I've subsequently found the reason for my assumption: it was stated in a book called "We Will Follow Rangers" by Hugh Taylor, 1961.

Yes, that tackle on Channon still sticks in my memory; defending of that type does seem a lost art nowadays. Apparently he resented the name 'Jaws.' I think it was a compliment.

Ok I was that soldier! I know scoring and having an assist normally gives you MoM but I couldn't take my eyes off Jack - everything we did went through him and his number of touches was amazing. Always passing forward too- he even was about to poke a great through ball at one point but the ref got in the way.

Would be nice if Nathan Patterson could challenge him this season. Goldson is the one who is undroppable; he might be a future captain? -
Foreign ignorance. No excuse for the British media though. Admin can we close?

I wasn't thinking of the US to be honest - in the UK we shouldn't need the addition to distinguish us from Berwick, Stafford or even QPR.

In that podcast mentioned above it was suggested that some of the worst comments came from recent accounts so the forums may well have been trolled. In any event we should NOT beat ourselves up too much; it is a societal problem and every club will have its nutters. Every club.

That's an oxymoron I would have thought.

I did but I have to disagree with Tess saying the far left and the far right are both as bad as each other - the far right does not believe in equality in any way.

I wonder if Charloch was present at the Mo Johnston signing. He probably would have said, " We're inclusive but not THAT inclusive"!

Jings! What do you want them to say? That black lives do not matter? So much misinformation on here that I know not where to begin: Every Communist revolution has been fomented by an academic/social elite and then that elite has ruled with an iron fist over the population. The Paris Commune? It was ordinary working people. The 1917 Bolshevik Revolution (bolshevik means majority)? Read 'Animal Farm' and 'Revolution Betrayed' (the clue is in the title) by L. Trotsky. When you have a revolution you first have to protect and defend it, otherwise you get a counter-revolution. "Rangers advancing a Marxist agenda" - oh my, if only!

Honestly I think you are very confused and over-reacting: to say that the club is immersed in neo-marxist axioms is near-hysteric: it is just about doing what is right. Rangers fans and other may have thought they were fighting against fascism but there is plenty of evidence to suggest that the British ruling class were not anti-Hitler and Mussolini per se. Indeed, Lord Halifax only turned against Hitler when he realised that his landed estates would be under threat. Marxism and fascism are emphatically not two sides of the same coin; Lenin's idea of the dictatorship of the proletariat is but the prelude to complete freedom for all, free from ruling elites. Fascism has no such ideal other than the rule of the elite. As for free speech I think you'll find it very much continues thanks to social media, some of which is quite sickening.
