  1. There should be a law against people posting gifs. Or whatever they're called.
  2. Think I already know the answer but I wonder how Gers fans would feel about a Newcastle-type takeover?
  3. Ah, the days when we had a youth policy!
  4. My cousin met him when she worked at Edmiston House. She described him as a gentleman. He had no idea her family are K*****c supporters.
  5. Well, they would get competitive matches and maybe a close glimpse of the best young Scottish talent for them to plunder?
  6. Too many programs? Delete unnecessary ones and old unused files. Also clear cache regularly.
  7. Don't know why Davis can't be groomed for an eventual coaching role at Ibrox. Surely a future manager?
  8. Quite. I started to believe the swine till I reached the colon!
  9. I remember he had a habit of saying..."...it must be..." just before a goal, but there were several players called Busby and some times it meant them!
  10. It's ironic that it's the nationalist party which has done more to kill off the prospect of independence than any other movement.
  11. Shows you how narrow-minded Scotland has become IMO.
  12. He was just a random example; my point was that most players relish international football.
  13. In financial terms yes, but very few players actually turn down the chance to play in the Euros or World Cup.
  14. You might as well say cancel all international football. Do you think Haaland will tell Norway to shove it? Or any of the England players who earn much more at their clubs? No, because playing for your country should be the highest honour bestowed on an individual. In Jack's case, doubt he will start much anyway. Souttar is more of a concern, but maybe right now he needs a run of games.
  15. I can confirm. Sandy was really what would now be called a utility player, but RB was his best position.
  16. Oh for a Pat Jennings; comes out, takes the ball with one hand. Mind you, he did have hands like shovels.
  17. Looks like this Cifuentes is next through the door. Fits age profile and may have sell-on value; could play in Jack's position when the latter is on treatment table; seems to be versatile. If we are mirroring Brighton's recruitment policy then that will do me; they have taken relative unknowns and moulded them into their squad with a judicious mixture of youth from their academy.
  18. Him and Butland sorted for a good few years. Maybe alternate like McLaughlin and McGregor.
  19. You make your points with clarity and common sense; however, we should be qualifying for the CL every season. That must be our aim. Aribo and Bassey, granted, are great examples of who we should be recruiting; I'm dubious that Dowell and Sterling are in that league. BTW Aribo has sunk without trace at relegated Southampton - not sure what that tells us.
  20. We seem to be assembling a squad to play in a league that we don't play in - the EFL Championship. And your Dowells and Karlan Grants are not playing for promotion-chasing teams. Don't like where this is going; I want to qualify for the Champions League.
  21. Wouldn't mind us trying out a back three, with Souttar, Goldson and a left-sided CB. Use the wing backs for our width.
  22. Why? Oh I know he's suspect defensively but his penalties and free kicks have got us out of trouble countless times.
  23. Interesting that he was given his chance ahead of McLaughlin. He's never let us down on his few appearances. If he doesn't get his chance now then clearly the manager thinks he will never be good enough.
