    I've gone for Novo too for all the reasons mentioned above. My only reservation is that I think he's better coming on as a sub (or impact player to use the new jargon).

    Only thing I disagree with is the 'defensively sound' bit. I think he can improve a lot there. And I think he has scored more than Hutton did (though correct me if I'm wrong.). When he goes on a run, you get off your seat. How many other Gers players can you say that aobut?

    150,000 rioted!! Our average gate is 50,000, most away games are attended by far fewer than 20,000. So where did they all suddenly spring from? Not just the Scottish media who lack a bit of balance.

    Has there ever been a Rangers player who so divides the fans more than Fergie? I can almost agree with both sides. What we need is a midfielder who can chip in with a few goals. Davis and Thomson might be capable when they are both played in their right positions. Still think Mendes has touches of class which we no longer see from Fergie.

Then the MP's turn round and tell us what they did was no worse than shoplifting - as if a poor person nicking a bag of groceries is comparable to stealing �£20k from the taxpayer to do up your second home. Oh, I forgot - it was within the (self-made) rules.

    I'm agreeing with you, but Lafferty to be fair has no history of this (I think I'm right in saying) and I think WS will punish him; just thinking how it would look if the 2 C****c players get off.

    Setanta is showing the Dundee U game on Setanta 1; the Hearts game is on Setanta 2 and coverage starts at I think 12.55. I can only get Setanta 1 so that's good for me.

    We don't even need to win. We just need to match 'their' result. I wouldn't be surprised if both games were draws TBH - and I wouldn't care! Imagine what it would do to them if word came through that we had taken the lead!

    Only problem is is you move Davis in to his (true) position, it leaves a gap on the right that no one - not even Nacho - can fill adequately.

    Hope to God you're all wrong about Boogie. He wants to stay, he's made that clear; and we seem to be holding out for a high fee, so why is it inevitable? If we sold him, we would need TWO CB's, as he really needs a partner. If the option is 35 year old Hriedarrson (sp) then no thanks. If it's a toss-up between Boyd and Boogie, I'd rather it was (sorry) Boyd. We can replace him more easily. Just because we replaced Carlos, it is unlikely we can do so again. And you build teams from the back.

    The RoI are a joke team and they nicked two of our players - McGreedy and McCarthy - under that dubious rule. So we really play into their hands if we do the same. The SFA should make sure that never again can plastic paddies do the dirty on us.

    The lesser spotted Andy Webster had a good run out for Scotland 'B' - even scoring the first. Will he ever get a start in place of Dailly and McCulloch? It's Boogie and Weir for Saturday but next time Boogie is unavailable, there's no excuse not to call him in..
