  1. But why? If liquidated creditors will get NO cash, will they?
  2. So, youd be quite happy to see a revolving door at Ibrox, no chance of team building, no consistency - the minute any of our youngsters turn out to be any good, see them depart for the EPL or wherever? How could we bond with a 'team'like that. Re Gray: he was supposed to be a boyhood fan.
  3. Former Rangers striker Andy Gray has encouraged Premier League outfit West Brom to do everything they can to lure Steven Naismith to the club. (Evening Times) Disgusted at Andy Gray. No true Rangers fan or ex player should be hawking our top talent to another club especially in the situation we are now in.
  4. You know it's not going to happen; they don't want us and don't need us. Though it does make me sick to see Welsh clubs with more wealth than us.
  5. Yeh, think that's what he meant, but I was only thinking that, given the BK bid's weak point is their limited capital, then that could be way of boosting it. In an ideal world Dave King has enough cash to ride to the rescue but he's tainted with the SARS thing.
  6. What might tip the scales towards the BK is if Kennedy were to become involved. If I remember correctly he didn't rule it out, just ruled out him making his own bid.
  7. class from the wee fellow
  8. If we visit here regularly we wil have heard it. It just distracts me because I think it's something new...
  9. "Eng.." as in 'ing' not 'engine'.
  10. What a great idea. If I still lived in Scotland I'd be there.
  11. Craig and Dutchy - I could bang your heads together. I'm just as much of a socialist as anyone on here and more than most - but much as I'd love the ~Gers to be run according to good socialist principles, I realise that we live in the real world, where we're gonna have to accept the capitalists we know rather than the ones we dont know. Sure, the admins are like those private equity firms feeding off the chaos caused by the failure of capitalism, but for the sake of the club we love we should just accept that they are set to make a huge killing. Now, i suppose fan ownership would be what every Socialist wants; but just look at the failure of the RST and all those fans groups to agree. Do you really want some Stalinist group to take control just to get rid of the old order? You cannot build socialism in a capitalist sea. If we could get some sugar daddy to pump billions into us I'd take that in a heartbeat, even though it would be a microcosm of the system that has now outlived its usefulness. And Craig - I actually appreciate the insight that you and Bluedell and others can bring to the debate; if we have to have a capitalist overlord then I'd like to know that we choose the right one.
  12. I gave Dingwall that soubriquet because he doesn't like anyone who disagrees with him. Football is all about opinions and he has banned sine die good gers fans from FF just because of heterodox opinions. I don't want someone like that representing us.
  13. If CW won't deal with the Knights, then what choice do the admins have, unless they are hand in glove with CW? What we need is for Kennedy to beef up the BK bid so Ticketus can do one and CW into the bargain. Only downside from that is the fan scheme which could see that clown Dingwall on the board.BK is the best of a bad lot methinks.
  14. Interesting one this. Is he a right back? Because we sure could use one who could defend. Would make a change from losing our youngsters to the prem. Hands off Rhys McCabe!
  15. You didn't need to spend £47 grand though Juan.
  16. Just what is his injury problem? Is it something long-term or a succession of niggles? i heard he has one leg shorter than the other!!
  17. "Wee. sleekit TIMOROUS BHEASTIE"[/b][/b] or maybe not so timorous!
  18. Danny what happened to the Singapore bid? As I understood it they spent £150,000 preparing the ground work only to not declare yesterday. Now they wouldn't have done that if they had not been serious, surely?

  20. Just a quick question: how do the admins decide on a preferred bidder? Do they want proof of funds or is it just on a hunch about how serious they think they are?
  21. Director of Football. Not manager or coach but advisor on signing/development policy. Would be tailor made for it IMO. Not sure as coach because he was always inclined to be too abrasive, again IMO.
  22. I've often wondered that myself. Remember very clearly when we beat Bilbao in 1969 4-1 in one of our best ever Euro performances. With the EU equality rules are they still implementing that Basque only policy? Surely it's now outlawed under discrimination laws? The only connection Keltic have to Athletic is they IRA/ETA factor - as you say it's pretty ironic. Problem also is that Jock Stein and Danny McGrain (and K Dalglish) were Protestants, so they always beat us with that stick. It did handicap us, no doubt and I'm glad it's ended. We should never be ashamed of it being part of our tradition though.
  23. Only thing is, I hope there is no tie-up with the Sale Sharks for loan deals. Some of those guys would have got into a few of the selections Ally made last year!
  24. Quick question: why do you type ££ not FF?
