  1. All this has turned me into a cynic. If tomorrow, Sheikh Abdul Rahman from the Emirate of Ahmadi turned up at Ibrox, called a press conference and plonked £70m on the table on his right hand and had Ronaldo and his agent on his left actually signing, I would say, hang on a wee minute, something isn't right here...I would anticipate the Record headline 2 days later: "Rahman pulls out of bid to buy Rangers for pocket money."
  2. Zappa, who's Swiss Tony? I have been trying to keep up, honestly I have.
  3. Don't get the antipathy for King just because he was part of the oldco. I know the RSA tax thing is a concern for some, but that country is so corrupt that I have to question whether he did anything really wrong. We keep saying we need RFC fans with money and when we get one, we pillory him! If he was such a crook then surely he would have rumbled by the media we have here; some of them would have been itching to further embarrass us.
  4. Chris has an enviable knack of summarising concisely all the threads of this saga while putting forward a balanced interpretation. His style is also so calm and considered (are you listening ,Leggo?) that it should get all sensible Gers fans on board.
  5. But King is a Rangers man who has ploughed £20m into our club - we can't easily disregard that. I get the new broom thing, but there just is no sugar daddy who has not already come forward. Paul M. has no cash of his own but he DID speak out v Whyte. Blame SDM if you want someone to blame.
  6. KING, you say? Dave King? Where have you heard his name mentioned? Or do you think he's always been there in the background, given he was coinvinced we would be liquidated?
  7. Because FIFa don't allow teams to play in another country's league. You can onlt do that if you have no professional league of your own like andorra or San Marino or something.
  8. SPL have just announced we'll be in the fixture list next week. Does that mean anything ahead of the vote, or is just that we've not been officially liquidated?
  9. You're not answering my point: what to do NOW? I'm not having a go at you, I'm hearing what you say. Mass protest for instance?
  10. So what would you have had us do? There was nothing we could do to stop D&P - Whyte appointed them, they appointed Green as PB. It's all right being negative if you can suggest options at the time something happens. A certain "Maineflyer" on here campaigned relentlessly to turn us all against SDM despite there being no alternative at the time. Now it seems that the best course might have been to stick with Murray and pay our taxes etc. So - in the predicament we are now in: what should we do? Meanng us as ordinary supporters.
  11. Killie chairman has spoken up for us and against harsh sanctions. How many do we need? Is it 7 or 8?
  12. That would be wonderful if true. seems too simple to be true now. Maybe ljust maybe liquidation is blessing in disguise?
  13. Because they are an English institution. So much for our loyalism.
  14. Seem to have missed that one. Can you elaborate what E and Y said?
  15. Can you say who led you to believe that?We can be suspicious of everybody but somebody, surely, must be genuine somewhere?
  16. Last time I saw him play for Milan it was obvious he had lost some pace and was lunging everywhere. I can see him mis-timing tackles and getting sent off. Do we really need a Scott Brown? Ian Black would do just as well to counteract the Green psycho (I don't mean Charles).
  17. Don't get the Fleck thing. He has not even featured on the bench for Blackpool. I fear it is too late for him to justify all the misplaced hype.
  18. With a name like Lafferty I would have expected him to be a catholic so it comes as no surprise to me. I think If I remember rightly, Bobby Russell married a catholic and got some abuse because of it, but as you say you would have thought we had moved on from this.
  19. Did I read somewhere that a Scottish Cup ban could imperil the CVA? If so how come?
  20. Well it certainly can't be Green Park. How about the Rangers Training Academy or named after Wilton and Struth. The Wilton Struth Academy?
  21. Must admit - I really don't understand all this twitter rubbish. Does this mean that these comments were made by Mcleod on his twitter account? If so he is really everything you call him.
  22. Only problem is he's the one player we can least do without in that we simply cannot afford a like-for-like replacement. Even Davis could be covered by McCabe and Ness, but who could fill Naisy's boots from the youth pool?
  23. Yeah, shame we seem to have just missed ou ton Eden Hazard. Get used to it - that's the standard of player we are in for now.
  24. Not with you there - you saying that it's all because of overspending on players? I just meant that they gave piss-poor on field performances at the preliminary stages v. teams often part-time that Scottish clubs should be able to beat.
  25. Hoping that they win is far being the same as enjoying it. I want them to win for selfish reasons. That's not cheerleading, I wouldn't suggest going along and actually supporting them.
