  1. Thanks but just got freeview. If we don't get this on Red button when there is no comparable attraction on at the same time you will hear my imprecations against the BBC and the UK government!!
  2. Well, pretty much like some people go to reserve matches because they can't afford/don't want to attend away games. If, say the A team were playing in Bournemouth many might go to Ibrox to see the B game. Haven't really thought it through, but I would not like the Scottish League to die all the same...
  3. The money gap is now so huge that there is really no future in Scottish League now. We must find a way of allowing a 'B' team to play in Scotland; that would be a kind of sweetener to those who need our income. Problem is EUFa with their 'cross border' opposition would be the big obstacle.
  4. Any bears on here who live in England and (like me) don't have Sky? Can I watch it on the BBC 1 red button? Apparently you can't get it live on the iPlayer.
  5. Why? Let them get the best manager they can. I want them to give us a stiff challenge to prepare us for the otgher games we will get in Europe. A weak Keltic - or anyone else - does nothing to steel us for tougher times ahead. I'm comfident we will prevail in any event.
  6. Agree but recently at Norwich he's been playing as one of the 2 in a 4.2.3.1
  7. I like Dorrans but it begs the question: where would he fit in? We play a 4.3.3. system and he generally plays as one of 2 holding mids. Can't see MW changing his system for the players. Barton and Dorrans together would be fantastic but don't think he could play on his own like Ball, he has attacking instincts.
  8. That goalie was fantastic in the League Cup final.
  9. They will be so demoralised after failing to win promotion. I think we will win more easily than is being suggested.
  10. You wouldn't be proud if we had a Scotland side playing in the world Cup, containing 4 or 5 Rangers players? I certainly would, and it would raise the profile of our club. We used to be the mainstay of the international side but maybe you weren't born then.
  11. My point was really that, having made 5 first team appearances for Liverpool, he would expect to make a lot more starts in the SPL. Agree about Barton though.
  12. Well we need to get a new squad together for the next campaign. You can't just put a team together out of nothing, especially a world cup team. Wallace and Barrie could be first picks.
  13. What must this do to the confidence of Jordan Rossiter? He would have expected to be a starter in our midfield. Barton reminds me of the Terry Hurlock signing.
  14. So much for him being touted for the Blackburn job!
  15. Holt, Rossiter and Halliday has a nice ring to it, with a right and left footer either side of the right sitting mid. Rossiter. With Forrester, Waghorn and McKay almost certain to make up the front three I wonder how Crooks and Windass fit in - and how often.
  16. I'd like to think if he was a Hibs fan we would still join in; we have to rise above some things, for the sake of dignity. This club used to be synonymous with that concept.
  17. Depressing. The mindset of football in this country has to change. At least MW is starting to do that.
  18. Just how many first team games has he played? Acc. to one source it's four plus his debut appearance in the Capital 1 cup v Middlesborough when he scored. (Think that was the 'talkin'baws' source.)
  19. Maybe the question should be asked: are we the same supporters?
  20. Well, two footballing centre backs hasn't worked. Hanley is young, has time to improve. He's certainly not rubbish.Problem is he's right-footed but plays as a left centre back for Blackburn and Scot. So would that mean the end for Wilson? Can't see he and Hanley together.
  21. I've seen him described a s a midfielder but we are not short in that department. Anyone know his proper position?
  22. 'Waldo' for Godsake! Is he such an intellectual that they named him after Ralph Waldo Emerson?
  23. McArthur is a Gers fan who is essentially a defensive mid. Couldn't afford him though.
  24. Dorrans is a great player. Career has stalled a bit but I see him as more of an attacking midfielder.
