  1. It is good news. But Rossiter? With Jack, Docherty, Goss, McCrorie, Dorrans, Holt and Windass just in front, where is he in the pecking order now?
  2. "Beasts from the East!! Wish I'd thought of that first. I wouldn't drop him - he played his part yesterday despite not scoring.
  3. It puts Jack's long-term future in doubt, especially after his injury. He might become just a squad player.
  4. That's the thing for me - he offers a balanced left foot option. If he really wanted away then nothing we could do. Plenty of CB's but who' else is left footed?
  5. Might just be the kick up the backside the blazers need - a woman, by god. Then again would she be tempted to bring in Lennon as manager?
  6. Don't forget Martin can give good cover at right back, rather than just be a third choice CB. That means Tavernier can move forward.
  7. Can anyone supply any info about Goss? I'd never heard of him. BBC seemed to say he was German?!
  8. Only thing I would say is that is that he some experience - and success at - playing right back. If we had a defensive minded RB then Tav. could be freed to play right mf.
  9. I think it makes it less likely now that Scotland will get MON. I'd be happy with him for manager I must say.
  10. It really should be as simple as that. Hearts showed exactly how you do it. Keltic are far from supermen.
  11. He's turned down big jobs in England too. He maybe really lacks the bottle and he's in a safe comfort zone at Aberdeen.
  12. Well, you could say what we have now is not true 'capitalism' either but a warped neo-liberal version.
  13. Now I notice der Berliner's excellent original contribution has been edited out. I know it was hugely off-topic but I can't help wondering if totalitarianism has spread to the admin. of gersnet! Meanwhile, back on topic, looks like we are stuck with McLeish - a manager who is now past his EPL sell-by and won't cost much. Never did I think that our club would become so unattractive a prospect to any manager.
  14. No. It's Stalininism which is totalitarian; Bolshevik democracy was real democracy. Where we can elect a parliament every 5 years, under Lenin officials were subject to regular recall by their electors.
  15. That's just the same as blaming mobile phones for 'upskirting'. Easy solution - ban mobile phones.
  16. Has Barry Hearn been linked to us? He would be fantastic.
  17. Think they would be decent loan signings. Look at how the careers of Tammy Abraham and Loftus-Cheek have blossomed since Chelsea sent them on loan. But agree strikers should be priority.
  18. No. You cannot blame Islam for the actions of crazed fundamentalists. Do you actually know any muslims? And you cannot blame catholicism for the Spanish Inquisition. It is too simplistic to blame the institutions as evil exists in all spheres. I'm an ex-teacher - the fact that paedophiles have infiltrated the profession does not invalidate the profession.
  19. The Sun (I know) reported that Coleman was approached. If he turned us down in favour of basket case Sunderland, what does that tell us about the state we're in? Haven't heard that MON was approached. Is that true?
  20. Well because - unlike most other Scottish players - he has held down a regular place in more than one EPL side.
  21. I may have got the wrong documentary but one I saw noted his time at Spurs but never mentioned Rangers - real anglo bias. Still we should be proud he played for us.
  22. I'm interested to know how the partnership of McCrorie worked. Who played right side, since I believe both are left-footed?
  23. Is that a fact? I've never heard that.
  24. Pedro should have gone the morning after the Progres Luxembourg fiasco - the biggest humiliation I have seen my club face bar none and I can go back to Berwick 67. Let's get a Rangers man in: Neil, then McInnes 2nd choice.
  25. Think that was actually Bowman that did Cardoso - radio commentary team were adamant he should have gone, and the same with Alves. Ref probably evening things up. We lack a wide presence. Dunno why Nemane doesn't start. Plenty of space with their 3 at the back system.
