Jeez, I hope not. There's a part of me - quite a big part, tbh - which would rather see us knocked out by an SFL side than fund SPL clubs.

Transfer thread - OFFICIAL!! David Templeton signs 4 year deal

Does anyone know how good or otherwise Sammy Clingan, the Norn midfielder, is? Apparently he is without a club. -
Is the tide starting to turn for Charles Green?

Agree with the broad concensus; no need to post a lengthy reply. -
I'd like to see how we fare against Falkirk, a good standard SPL1 team, before guessing how we'll do in any Cups, even the Ramsdens. That'll give us a better idea of where we are.

Did you clock big Kirk's Tom Daly impression in the first half? Aside from it being so bad it was funny, I hate to see that in a Rangers shirt - you don't need to do it, big man. I liked Shiels too, great to see some skiil again. Who else? Wallace looked excellent and should plainly be in the national team; Boca will be a huge miss when he goes; the younger players really look exciting. Happy night out for this bear.

Tbf, there were gaps in the corner between Copland and Govan, in the Main Stand, and in the Govan Rear. Add to that the Club Deck - impressive, but not full - and it seems like a fair count to me. Where's the beef, anyway? Fabulous turnout. And good football too. Really like the look of Barrie McKay. Only minor points to quibble about are Goian becoming a bombscare (but should get away with it at this level) and big Kyle - I can't judge on 15 minutes but he really doesn't look the part. At all.

I only caught the late night bulletin, and that under protest as my wife wanted to see the weather forecast otherwise I would not have endured that mob in my living room. But it was odd...they seemed to be rowing back a tad from their previous position of cut and dried. It's not usually hard to read the runes from them - Hoops good! Hunz bad! - but that was a little more muddied than usual. I wonder why?

This all seems to be pointing in the one direction to me: Timothy wants the titles, is using dodgy tactics to get them, while the club past and present are united in saying absolutely no way - plus, we have Murray and McLeish (and earlier Dodds) explicitly stating there was no illegality. Plus, all of a sudden, and out of the blue, another poster reports that Tayside nonce on the Bheeb claims we are off the radar. What a coincidence! Fancy that! I can't imagine why he's suddenly steering clear of the topic. If there's as solid a defence as Rangers figures have been putting up - and if McCoist and Green stand firm - I hope we can finish this nonsense off once and for all, with a clear name and the cleansing finger of exposure firmly exploring celtc's colon.

Never seen so many cars outside the ground this afternoon! Good signs, The Bears are not for walking away. Though arrangements have been a bit of a shambles. I shall be in the Copland for only the second time since 1986! Third row up, may as well take a book for all I'll be able to see. But that's not the point, is it?

None of your coy nonsense, leader. Out with it! (The information, I mean).

I didn't have the heart to spoil the idea by saying this, but I will hide behind FS and say I have to agree completely.

In an internet awash with pish, your post still stands out. Kudos.

A new fun game for all the family! All the comments below have been made over this summer, but only one has required a slapping down from Generalissimo Stewart Regan!! The SFA chief executive described certain comments about him as â??undignified, irresponsible and unpalatableâ? but resolved to rise above them for the future good of the game (Daily Record 1/8/12). Can you, reader, guess which one???? "And Dunfermline chairman John Yorkston predicts that further calls to remove Regan will receive widespread backing. "As far as Stewart Regan goes, we'll certainly be supporting moves to get him out his job when the SFA agm (annual general meeting) comes up," Yorkston told BBC Scotland. "I believe it will be progressed and have a lot of support." BBC website http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18861485 "Whether some good can be extracted from the impending mess will depend entirely on the SPL clubs, guided by the currently absent leadership of the SFA." Clyde FC statement, 4/7/12 â??The overwhelming reality is that we are being asked to make one of the most important decisions for Scottish Football in a vacuum devoid of factual information, that vacuum having been filled with unhelpful rhetoric and scaremongering by the chief executives of the SFA and SPL." Clyde FC statement, 10/7/12 "It has been reported that a motion of no confidence in Mr Regan was proposed and seconded at the end of the SFL meeting, but did not proceed to a vote as it was felt that, even though all of the members of the SFL attending were SFA members too, it was not the correct forum for that. One might have expected some form of statement from Mr Regan in reply. I have seen none." Legal type Paul McConville's blog â??That said, Iâ??d love a couple of resignations over this." Turnbull Hutton, Raith Rovers FC, 4/07/12 "â??In recent days, I have been in a number of meetings with Stewart Regan, Rod Petrie and other senior SFA figures - and despair at the lack of leadership shown." Ally McCoist, 28/07/12. A grand prize of One Tour Round the Apocalpyse, with a View of Social Unrest from the top of a bus thrown in, accompanied by the Generalissimo himself awaits one lucky winner.

That's nice news for him.
-
He'd probably be too busy shagging our wives and girlfriends.
-
I died a little at that news too, Dutchy. Hardly unexpected but very sad. 'Success is not enough. Your enemies must fail, too'. The Great Gore could be the motto writer of choice for Scottish football, were they not homophobic.

I know you're joking, but there's just no pleasure in winter golf at all. Soggy ground, freezing wind, winter 'greens'...I just can't see the attraction. On the radio, I love 5live's coverage of majors; please please please don't spoil it by using that twat Spiers. I can see why celtc minded producers would use him up here, but a broadcaster who doesn't know who he's looking at who and gulps continually and audibly is no-one's idea of a professional.

He kind of has to, being the leader of the revolutionaries. If he was to admit that the revolt will cause financial agony for the forseeable, he'd sound a bit stupid. Well, a bit more stupid than usual.

Who knows, dB? What a waste. Without question the best user of language since Archie MacPherson (another vastly underrated and clever man but one who didn't need to descend into the sewer to make a level - read some of his books if you have a minute. They are fairly cheap, like 1p) but who has polluted his ability with the sectarian bullshit.

Likewise, managed three rounds in the last three years, unreal. But, as a married man of 14 years, my wrists are now superpowerful and it's certainly having an effect on my downswing. To avoid the thread going all social and OT, I would say that getting out and away from the madness has never been more important to Bears. There is a world away from The Rangers, hard as we may find that to believe sometimes. Not everyone is a shit and hates us, the sun still rises coyly behind its veil of clouds...life goes on. Just.
-
Sounds like a good reason for choking back on the internet using, then. Btw, how's the golf? I bust 100 for the first time last week, well chuffed.
-
Shit! And I was pleased GB and Michael Jamieson had won a medal, as well. Thank goodness this thread was here to remind me not to enjoy it.

Just had an email from the digital editor of the Herald, informing me that Spiers will be writing for them online. That's one subscriber less for them, anyway.
