  1. The fan and media reaction isn't worth a fart. We know what they think of us by now, surely? All this does is give Charles a bit more ammo when he goes to see the fuds at Park Gardens over his disrepute charge, tho they'll probably say he brought it on Black with his comments. Levein's reaction is the interesting one. 'People have a right to their opinion' and 'I don't want to make a big deal of it'. If he spoke to Black, who said 'I don't give a shit' then that's the correct reaction, although the first statement is bordering on support for the booing and any manager with a bit of nous would not have made it. If Black was pissed off in the dressing room, we may as well give up. In the interests of fairness, we should note that Richard Gordon on the radio called the booing disgusting and make quite a point of it.
  2. Come on, now, the queues might be big, but cocaine is not the answer.
  3. I would hope it is entirely up to the previewer! Whatever angle you want to take on it. For example, some may focus on the possible team line up, others on the wider context of the game ("Is it Ally's last game in charge???" if CG was doing one) while I, for example, would write a wordy and unreadable 1,500 post on the literary and cultural history of Annan, briefly mentioning a game in the final paragraph. Let a hundred flowers bloom!
  4. Sort of agree with Metlika - foreign names are all well and good, but I'd like to see it leavened with two or three seasoned Scots pros who have operated at first division level. We'll need plenty of dig as well as ability. But it's good to see McCoist adopting my FM tactic of offering a trial to any player who is ooc - sometimes you pick up a diamond.
  5. Anything, as long as it's a change from the same stuff we've been getting for what seems like about 8 years now! What happened to that Dixieland version of Follow Follow? I loved that.
  6. Stone me, by that rationale there's not a player in any Scottish league who is ready for international football! Does he ever think before he opens his yap? Surely not even Levein reckons the SPL is 'akin to international football'?
  7. Ffs, half four on a Sunday. Just have to get used to it, I suppose. Getting hard to keep track of when we're playing already!
  8. If Annan Bear doesn't do Annan, I will, but I figure he should do it. Local rules and all.
  9. I'm no fan of his, but he hasn't done anything dreadfully wrong so far. Goian is the major disaster for me.
  10. We still have to lose the line about celtc in Super Rangers and then, well, afaics, all's well.
  11. I wouldn't think so; if a debtor voluntarily settles a debt, it doesn't create a precedent which obliges it to then settle all debts, either in full or partially. It is a goodwill gesture only.
  12. 'No-one likes us' either has to lose the line about celtc or go. There's no other option. After that, I can't think of a single song which we need to edit, suppress or ban. But not because people like Keevins say so, because its the right thing to do in 2012. But that one song will still be used to beat us as long as we include the word fen... in it. I don't see what's wrong with 'scummy bastards'; it is, after all, accurate.
  13. Negativity again. Newcastle under Pardew are playing some of the best organised and attractive football their fans have seen for decades...it's just a guess, but I imagine his reserve players have benefited from his tactical nous. They may bring an extra touch of class to our team which helps us out; they may not, in which case we don't lose out financially, which I would have thought might be a consideration given our recent history. We should be pumping Peterhead! We're no a feeder team!! We are where we are, and we are what we are. If I may borrow from a relic of the past, we need to get our heids oot the sand and have a look around us.
  14. It's on the BBC interactive service that the deal involving Ashley will allow for up to nine NUFC players to be loaned to us. Unlikely to be Ba or Cabaye, one would imagine, but still interesting.
  15. Only if you sold every shirt yourself. It's not about actual price on the ticket, it's about how much profit you generate on the sale to a shop/supplier. That £20 shirt you mention could well have been supplied with a 50% markup to Rangers/Umbro, so the price it retails for is irrelevant; if a shop wants to cut its profit margin for whatever reason that is that shop's business and doesn't (shouldn't, anyway) impact on the value to the supplier.
  16. The rules are pretty clear - anyone connected with Rangers cannot say anything without being charged. Others can pretty much exercise their right to criticise, in personal terms, the staff of the SFA/SPL, but this does not apply to Rangers. Well, I don't expect them to like us, so this is hardly a surprise. But it does need fought against, in order to show these nincompoops that we are not a pushover. If they want a fight I'm happy to give them one.
  17. I know its churlish to moan, but joking about Durrant going into Aberdeen is in rather poor taste.
  18. This is all well and good, but just wait until Longmuir does something we don't like...he'll get it plenty, just like all the others!
  19. The best bit was his hurt at being tweeted by gloating non Utd fans, happy to see the Tayside Crapolas being hammered. Sad, he choked, that people couldn't get behind the game as a whole. The words 'physician, heal thyself' sprang to mind.
  20. I did catch the last 10 minutes in a Kilbirnie carpark. Initially I was thinking, 'another gubbing for a Scots team' and being a bit gloomy until I realised the cretin doing the 'commentary' was Sergei Spence himself....his pain was a pleasure to behold. Also sounds like he was getting thrashed on twitter (the reading of which during his commentary might explain his awful coverage of the actual football itself).
  21. Can't imagine we are allowed to refuse them tickets. Or does it mean we have rejected away tickets for Cumbernauld? Confused.
  22. Just a few thoughts on last night: Sandy Jardine - I think I am in a minority of one but I'd rather not have grandiose statements before games, the last couple of years have put me off grandstanding for life. Actions count more than words, the new players on the pitch last night count for more than all the boabby pulling speeches. East Fife - We might have put out something over the PA welcoming our guests and pointing out that they had brought what looked to me like considerably more than the usual SPL team does. They may have been trying to goad the Bears near the end, when we responded with 'You're only here to see The Rangers' (if they were I couldn't here them from the Copland) but we could try to rise above such predictable jibes - let's show some class. I have no desire to act like celtc, desperate to be best pals with everyone, but we have enough enemies, after all. We could be nice for a while! Whine over. Sun is out, and we won 4-0 last night. No way am I down!!
  23. Not massively, maybe half at best.
