I need my bed...I thought that was Curly from Coronation St you were talking about. Must have been a hard day at Bettabuys.

The good vibes around all things Rangers just now must be killing Timothy. I must say, this is a side of football I never knew existed. This whole shambles of an adventure has certainly opened my eyes in a number of ways, not all of which reflect very well on me as a Bluenose in days gone by. Still, you live and learn, and sometimes the hard way at that.

Only caveat I have is that if that are that good, they won't be in Scotland for long!

I do fantasise in my sadder moments about lodging a FoI request with Pacific Quay, to get a look at the hiring practices of their production staff. Then I realise (1)it's a waste of a life (2) it's not exactly hidden and (3) schooling as an indicator of allegiance doesn't really work anymore. If they have any producers who support The Rangers they ought to be ashamed of themselves. Look at the McCoist laughing-news-stitch-up: a reporter had to write the script, a cameraman had to film it, an editor had to cut it, a director had to fit it in the schedule and a producer had to OK it. I'd add a soundman but I think the camera does that nowadays. If that got past a Bluenose...well, he or she is not much of a fan in my eyes. -
Now that would be a superb tweet!

Now and again I look at Frankie's Gersnet Twitter thing to see what people are saying. This is pretty funny, in a kind of unintentionally ironic way. Journo's John Huggan and Tom English are discussing the US media's less then reverential memories of Seve during the Ryder Cup.... Huggan: golf channel person now suggesting that seve "jingled coins" at top of opponent's backswing...#nosignofanyexampleshowever 26 Sep Tom English: That's a serious accusation. And no evidence in support of it?? Huggan: of course not! English: That's awful. Really, really poor Seve was a legend but he'd so anything to beat the US, so I could quite believe it. And even if he did, I don't really care that much. But change Seve to EBTs...

I thought Sandaza was from Argentina.

I don't know if we should be complaining about the fat sally stuff, though, it's a bit petty. I'm sure Ally can handle it. -

All too true, but until it happens I'm still as high as a kite! Must say, I was surprised to learn Perry had been playing CB last night. He was superb, which, considering his performances up till now, is nothing short of amazing. Many congratulations to him, not just for the performance, but for the mental strength to find such a performance. It's not easy for any player in a run of poor form and even harder for a young player. Well done, Ross. Thought Wallace was as good as I have seen him as well. edit: just posted this only to see Craig's mild chastisement of Perry! True, he did miskick, but his first job last night was not to get bullied by Higdon and that he did, despite the ref allowing Higdon to place his forearm on Perry's throat for most of the game. -

Just got a new sig! No surprise Pat Nevin was on the level, he seems a decent type. Plus he really knows his football. -
Calscot, do you fancy sticking an explanatory paragraph on your post above and sticking it in the writers' forum? Excellent post which deserves a wider audience.

As long as that shower are publicly funded, they don't get to act like other media outlets. The sooner that fairly basic fact penetrates their skulls the better. -

What I object to about this guy is that his voice doesn't appear to have broken. Is it too much to ask to have a grown-up commentating? What if the game had gone to extra time and penalties? His Mum would have taken home before the last kick was taken. Seriously, the BBC should think these things through. I'm sporting the 'sang way too much last night' Barry White-manly timbre this morning. -

Still don't agree! Other than our number 7 (I have no idea who half our team is...I thought it was MacLeod playing left wing), who seems to struggle with the 'we are the team in blue' concept, we passed well and crisply last night, and with more penetration that Motherwell, who, iirc, punted the ball to Higdon a lot of times. A LOT of times. -
Plus, as someone pointed out above, we are having to make do with the players the English clubs - down to div 4 level, probably - don't snap up. Anyone waiting for Messi coming out of Murray Park is liable to be disappointed. Anyone looking for some decent players we can make money on, and hopefully, every five years or so, a special talent, might be happier.

It's down to player attitude. You may say the manager is responsible for same, and he is, but if you have half a team or more who simply will not get it into their heads that they need to do more than turn up to win, and you have very few alternatives, any manager is going to struggle. Hopefully tonight will wake a few of them up. -
Only if he wants his media career to grind to an immediate end!

I can't think what he could do to make up for selling the club to Craig Whyte.

dB is correct in terms of genetic markers and so forth; but to my amazement, the law in the UK allows for racial differentiation between English, Scots and Irish. I'm sure it's Alex Salmond's fault, somehow. How a legal code can just ignore scientific evidence is totally weird, though.

The mystery club still doesn't have the guts to own up, then? -
Sandaza must be one. He got 17 last year alone, though going by his showings for us so far exactly how he did so remains a mystery.

Lad in front of me in the queue today asked how many tickets had been sold and by unashamedly eavesdropping I could just make out the young man behind the counter suggest that around 30k will be shifted by kick off. Busy enough when I was in anyway, a steady line of punters, though some were getting Forres tickets.

You'd have to have ignored great swathes of his previous blogs to be surprised by this - he has never hidden where his loyalties lie.
