That's terrible, he couldn't even have been 50. Awful.

Seems like the last person on earth who would be affected by that kind of disease, motor hyperactivity would seem more likely. All the best to Nando, mad loon that he was.

Pah, not worth more than a dismissive wave of the hand. 'We note the latest immature attempt by a state funded broadcaster to irritate its' paying customers and will treat it with the same contempt it shows viewers and listeners.'

He seems ideal for deep holding midfielder, the problem being we don't need a deep holding midfielder.

Fair enough, Crucible, but that point of view relies on trusting Regan not to open the can of worms as and when it suits him (or his puppet masters). I've no confidence that he won't suddenly discover holes in the investigation just at the least convenient moment for Rangers. That's why I want to see us exhaust every avenue to clear up any uncertainties before the likes of Regan leak to the Record or someone that, hey, after all, there are irregularities and hey, it's Rangers who will be punished. We need to make that position impossible - only way to do it is basically to do Regan's job for him, and provide complete transparency. Not fair on the confidential investors, but as AMMS pointed out earlier, if you invested in Rangers at this point and expect privacy you are living in cloud cuckoo land. And in fact, on that point, given the haste which with the media pursued life stories for the likes of Bill Miller, Bill Ng, Charles Green, Uncle Tom Cobley and all I find their reluctance to actually find out about BP & Margherita Holdings a little suspicious. I am, of course, completely paranoid on the subject,

Never realised that Valetta game was so early. That's one of the first games I can recall being at, I went for the half times pies & stuff (aged 12, I might add while the adults sat on their arses- thanks very much) and missed a couple of goals. 1983, well well well.

I can't help smiling at the thought of us stealing 'their' flag...nothing we could do would freak their fragile little minds more than that.

Thank goodness for the big man. No doubt he enjoyed the celebratory Sash that greeted his goal!

Not very impressed by Templeton as yet. 30 minutes and nothing of note, no wonder he can't get a game.

Where are we playing, Hades? The gloom descendeth right enough. Wee bit lacking urgency, but the main problem as I see it is that our front two are getting the ball with their backs to goal too much, which would be OK if it was mid-pitch but due to Stenny's deep line it is on the edge of the box. Just need to keep plugging away, I spose. Foster & Peralta pretty awful so far, btw. edit: I spose the answer is for Law, Black or MacLeod to make the run from midfield past the strikers.

I have seen a page of the PM report - authenticity unconfirmed but I choose, atm, to believe it just as I may in the future not believe it - which specifically mentioned that on several points of interest co-operation was not forthcoming. I fail to see why they would include such a line if there is no doubt at all about certain peoples' involvement.

That was me who said the previous/current directors may have deceived the SFA. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they had, leaving us to deal with the consequences, while every media outlet in the country blames us for liking Charles when he first appeared and seemed like a decent bloke.

If someone is intent on setting fire to your house, would you not take steps to try to stop them? If we find some way to insist that the SFA find out the names of shareholders, it would render any attempt by them to punish the club post facto null and void. They would be in the position of saying 'well, we (the SFA) did nothing while you, the fans, tried to oblige us to take action which we ignored, but we're going to punish your club anyway.' They would be left wide open to private prosecution and I for one would love my day in court. The problem I have is that I don't know how to insist on them doing the paperwork ahead of the bonfire.

Or even more worrying, should this legally binding guarantee prove to false, it's not Green, Ahmad or Murray who will be held to account by the SFA, but the club they were running, i.e. Rangers. I have admitted to paranoia long before but this is a set-up. Why on earth would the governing body settle for a guarantee, written or verbal, instead of insisting on seeing the names on the papers? They ignore the law when it suits them, so there's no point wheeling out the old anonymity cobblers here. We're being set up again, man. We're being set up again.

I hesitate to criticise such a formidable poster, but you aren't half a bitchy puss sometimes.

Ally sounds like a manager there. Good to hear.

Yep, we are supposed to be raging with impotent fury, aghast at the humiliation of being forced to play Challenge Cup semi finals. Well, that's where we are and I for one intend to open a can or two and cheer on my team while being blissfully ignorant of whatever the commentator is saying on BBC Alba. I don't miss Timothy one bit. Shame he doesn't feel the same way. Btw that Scotsman piece is one of the worst written pieces of professional work I've ever seen. No standards anywhere anymore! Disgrace!!

Nae borrer.

Be fair, he got them Suarez at a pinch, and when they shipped Adam back out they recouped a decent fee as well, not as if they bought an unsellable asset. Maybe paid £1.5-2m over the asking price, but they can easily afford it. Seems to me he got the players his manager asked for without sending the club bust, can't ask for much more than that.
-
Wait a minute - am I reading this wrong? As it stands at the moment, the SFA have a verbal assurance from our board - the current one, plus the people who have bailed out - that everything is OK as regards ownership. But, if it turns out not to be OK, they will hammer us again? If the SFA don't know, is there some way we can force them to find out? This is absolutely stinking. I really hope I've misread these posts.

Arsenal's youth development
andy steel replied to Ser Barristan Selmy's topic in General Football Chat
Aye, Jenkinson. Looks like a player to me. he must have played only a handful of games for Charlton, surely? -
It really has to be the best anthem ever, purely on the groundsof the music alone. Beautifully put, sir. We should never tire of reminding the diddy teams either, who for so long suffered under the OF yoke, that they completely shat their best ever chance to change the game for the better when the 11-1 vote was nullified by our catastrophe. I will never understand why the same people who mobilised so effectively to get rid of Rangers couldn't mobilise at all to prevent their clubs de facto gifting the title to one club in perpetuity while ensuring no challenge could be mounted to that club's dominance. There has to be a way out of this. So many sane, intelligent posters are saying the same thing: there's just no appetite for going back into the SPL. We know that not a single fan of official of any SPL teams will welcome us back & given that, a mutual expulsion might be the best option. If we knew of somewhere we could go, I think many would be off like a shot. But where? Perhaps the only likely option will be a pan-Euro league of some kind whereby we only have to play the other Scots teams on rare occasions.
