Be nice to know if he was a Bluenose or not. Waste of time and money all round, anyway.

Oh ffs Rangers, we get mucked about with match times more than enough as it is.

Anti-sectarian football laws fear as fans complain
andy steel replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
The Two Faced Vote Catcher! A new, exciting, Gersnet game for all the family!! No more sitting around on raining afternoons debating whether or not to watch an old Western, pester the old lady or take the dug for a walk. Now you too can enjoy the thrill of political chicanery as you try to solve this fabulous puzzle!!! Position A: Tims are an unwelcome minority in Scotland. Position B: Pandering to Tims is a vote-catcher. Can you, reader, reconcile the two positions? It seems tricky! How does a minority group become the all important voting demographic? Fun Fun Fun!- 33 replies

Frank Mulholland. And from Stephen House, the Chief Constable: After reading that, any sympathetic coverage you see of the GB and their whining can be filed under 'fellow traveller'.- 33 replies

What a load of crybaby rubbish. Football fans have had their civil rights suspended by the cops for decades, but now the Green Brigade are upset we need a parliamentary inquiry?- 33 replies

Rangers 3 - 1 Dunfermline (Jig 70 pen, Daly 77, Mohnsi 90)
andy steel replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
<shrug> The same people would be the first to whine if Rangers ever did go somewhere else. These wallopers do nothing but whine on football forums, hoping other, similarly minded social inadequates will give them an all too brief feeling of importance by agreeing with them.- 126 replies

It is, but not the way you mean. After being lectured about civic rights and sporting integrity, striking a deal with one of the world's least democratic societies is pretty grim. Then again, the £20m they are talking about will only appear if enough people in China buy ppv Scottish games. I should imagine about £20 will be nearer the mark.

Sunday Post - Legal moves to disclose mystery shareholders
andy steel replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Sundays I had two bags strapped either way over my shoulders, like Rambo's bandoliers of ammo. And I had to do the posh bits of Elderslie, where they all got the Sunday Times or the Telegraph. 2 hours for a fiver. Ah, the eighties. -

Sunday Post - Legal moves to disclose mystery shareholders

Colour photos in The Sunday Post. How times have changed! When I did my paper run it was always the Post that left the most newsprint on my grubby little mitts. -
Way ahead of you, mate. Downed a couple of large toddies last night and passed the night in a state of pleasant stupor. This morning's part hangover part cold suggests the Newcastle-Chelsea game may also be accompanied by a wee nip...purely for medicinal purposes, of course. As an aside, toddies are a great way of getting rid of the otherwise undrinkable 'miniatures' you pick up along the way.

PS; all those who think Traynor did nothing while he was at Rangers should note the speed with which RangersTV have had the clip pulled!

If he's got the same lousy cold I've got, he's got my every sympathy. Absolute stinker.

Meh, I remember the same worries before the Spanish national team played in Barca at the 96 Olympics. In the event the locals turned out and cheered them on.

I think the BBC does a fabulous job nationally, is only occasionally let down by the likes of Pacific Quay and these are usually due to failings of a management system installed, ironically, by Tory placeman John Birt. If the Tories want to destroy what little remains of real and proper news coverage in the UK I won't have any part in helping them.

As usual, you mere mortals fail to grasp the wider issues. It takes a mind like Turnon Bullshut's to see the bigger picture. 'Tis not the size of the ground that is the question, tis the size of the pitch. Big pitch, more likely we win. Smaller pitch, far less certain outcome. There are some who might think the unseemly haste of the rest of the powers that be to help one finalist over another could be considered a little bit off, but that's missing the point again. When we raised all that money in IPO's & ST's, we weren't supposed to spend it on players and build a decent pool. Until we learn that lesson, we need chastised. And I know the man to do it. All hail!

All well and good, but it would require the clubs who leaped fearlessly forward, insisting that for the good of the game the Hun must be expelled, to step forward again and challenge celtc, who are not quite in the same shambolic, defenceless mess we were when those brave chappies started listening to the 'flood of emails' that poured in. There's no guts to do it; there's no imagination to come up with something interesting; there's no stomach for risk; all there is, as we saw from the horrible sight of the D1 clubs last summer threatening to scweam and scweam until they got more pudding, is base, avaricious self interest. I wouldn't even have objected to that had it not been dressed up as deep, ongoing concern for the game as a whole. Any sight yet of the modern, progressive football in the 'Championship' featuring a tsunami of young Scottish talent we were promised? You may say its a bit soon, but if you cast your mind back when Murray Park opened the criticism that it didn't produce the goods started about three weeks later. Sauce for the goose, dear fellows, sauce for the goose. Gutless, cowardly, unimaginative and subservient to one of the clubs they whined about being dominated by for decades. When we're back, they will whine about being dominated by two clubs. Well, they had their chance; I suppose they still just about have a chance; what they don't have is the balls.

Possibly it suits their myriad other interests to allow some time between?

A week to submit a c.v. is rather hurried, assuming that ad is from today's papers.
