  1. Would you mind sharing with me how you know it is accurate? I don't know either way, although (and this says a hell of a lot) I would sooner believe the Record than Rangers official statements.
  2. If that was the case, hiding the players' Rangers identity would be doing us a favour, surely?
  3. I'd like to amend this slightly, having read the story about Gardiner, of Dundee, rejecting the job. Firstly, his reasons for saying no mean that anyone who DOES take the job, presumably, will likewise be unable to hire or fire, or deal with our chronic PR. Second, our chronic PR claims that he (Wallace) blew away the other applicants; well, except for the one who was offered the job but said no, apparently. Hardly Wallace's fault but sticking a lie in the release about his appointment is not the way to instill confidence. So in retrospect it may not seem as hopeful as I first thought.
  4. Ambition? And I would hope that if he does come back it would be on a 1 year, or an 18 month max, deal.
  5. Sad news for his family, and those of us who are at a certain age when the people we grew up watching and listening to are starting to pass away with alarming regularity.
  6. As does 'professional'. Why should he play for nothing? In the unlikely event of Ally needing an overweight, unfit 42 year old who could hardly get a game for his BB - what were they called, units? platoons? Christ, my memory is going - to fill in at right back, even I would still require payment.
  7. Hard to object to those credentials, but I'd still like to see the three stooges voted out at the AGM.
  8. Good God, just seen her coupon. What a flattering job the Sun photographer has done!
  9. Anyone else notice Whittaker has had a hair transplant since his move south? We still know it's you, baldy.
  10. I don't find either woman attractive tbh. Too skinny is as bad as too fat, where are the curves?
  11. Don't forget my splinter group, Bears Against Everything. We are nothing if not consistent. [video=youtube;e7cry-4pyy8]
  12. Tbf, Daly & Miller would be blinding..for about 18 months, tops.
  13. Illiterate, cretinous waste of a body.
  14. They need a Scots coach. 'Next time he does that, break his fucking leg.'
  15. On this point, the evidence is there that the Afghan people are highly resistant to ANY doctrine if it introduced by non-Afghans, from us trying to put Dost Mohammad on the throne right down to the Russians and communism. The history of British intervention in their country would probably see them resist a bar of gold and a house for every citizen if it came from someone British. It may not be that they object to democracy per se, but they will certainly object to anything brought by us.
  16. But once you go down the road of deciding to intervene in countries where the current lot in power are people you disapprove of, you can't use Adolf as a contra...that's what he did!
  17. As UEFA see it, the banner is inside the ground (their bit) and the riots were outside (Netherland's court system's bit). they deal with their bit & the courts deal with theirs.
  18. Fucking hell, that lad made a great speech at the OU. Though I'd have left out the bit about the 'rancid uniform', you'll never persuade people with that sort of talk. I must see what Rory Stewart and Malcolm Rifkind came up with in reply. Certainly the Taliban are and were a horrible lot of religious fundamentalists who absolute destruction would make the world a better place. But by going in there and trying to destroy them, for whatever reason, all we've done is guarantee violence and terror on the streets of Britain for the next one or two generations, as revenge is sought. I've argued this for ten years now & tho I didn't expect it to appear in the horrific attack we saw in London earlier this year, the point is valid. They may be an enemy of humanity but our method of dealing with them is totally counter-productive, unles we count the opium production figures released this morning. Remind you of nothing so much as Jardine & Mathieson bombing the Chinese until they accepted our opium deliveries. People used to make the same point when the signing bar policy was raised - 'you're the only one talking about religion'. It was an evasive cop out then & it's an evasive cop out today.
  19. That ought to be interesting, then. I certainly plan on going.
  20. Here comes the prophet of doom... I think we've had it. I think they are going to discover links, and invalidate everything that the club has won since Whyte's take over. I think they will then put to a vote whether or not to impose a fresh demotion to L2 or whether to plump for explusion entirely. Expulsion would only be a positive if we could sneak in somewhere else, otherwise it means playing in the juniors. And as I keep saying, I think the people behind this have been Tims since Murray sold up. Duped, you certainly were. Of course, I could be totally wrong.
  21. A bump for this interesting evening. Just think of all the people you've called names on the internet, now's your chance to do it face to face!
  22. Absolutely right, great read from Calscot. It is for the reasons you list above that I am certain the people running the club are not fans of Rangers and are, in fact, their mortal enemies.
  23. That's an utterly bizarre statement by Hibs. Why would a club go to all the effort of remembering fallen ex-players, raising monies, sending a representative to Remembrance Services, putting poppies on some players shirts but not bother holding a minute's silence? I've no wish to points score over this but that does sound a lot like like 'we didn't want to annoy our uber fans, but look! look! we did all this stuff, so you can't criticise us!!' Not having a silence because the SPFL has no official relationship with the Poppy Fund is just weird.
  24. AMMS on the money again. In all honesty calling themselves the Scottish Professional Football League must be actionable under the Trades Description Act, surely?
