  1. You have to hope that some high profile fans will publicly step up - as they did not before - and offer financial help.
  2. Since football began, at least in this country. Look at Wallace Mercer, Fergus McCann, the Kellys, Michael Johnson, Stewart Milne, John Thingy at Motherwell, even Bill someone at Meadowbank Thistle years ago (Spiers recounted his fall back when he was a real writer). It goes with the job and if you can't take it get out. That's life! Sweeping statements are rarely accurate but I am at a loss as to how anyone can defend this action. People might have some sympathy with public figures who are abused were they not of poor previous character, were they not presiding over a shambles, and were they not doing impressions of celtc fans running Rangers.
  3. Ffs, dB, that's EXACTLY what it does! Taking on the job of chief at Rangers has opened up every single chief exec in our history to abuse! It goes with the job, unpleasant at it may be for the individual. And if you as a director or whatever can't take it, leave.
  4. You don't sue Rangers fans for anything less than physical assault, end of. If anyone in the boardroom or in the stands needs to be told that they are in the wrong job/following the wrong club.
  5. Well done, although on a point of pedantry the original tweet is referring to the SFA as hun bastards, not Rangers fans. Take the point, though.
  6. Never ceases to amaze how we all see the same game differently. I'd have no worries about putting Faure & Shiels in midfield, I thought they bossed the game after Clark came on - Faure looked terrible before that, then started skinning people and making tackles. Plus only one sitting midfielder and another front man drives the team forward - some players are far too prone to slowing the game down and going backward. With the negativity out the side for the last 20 yesterday we actually attacked, I enjoyed it. I'm not blaming the team for being one dimensional when the only striking option was a less than mobile target man, but with Clark fit and Little due back soon we have no excuse for not going for it more often.
  7. Hard to see how the ref can justify that on the grounds of anything but 'they all look the same to me'. /career
  8. As much as I detest Lennon, as the father of a child with problems in this area I appreciate anyone who tries to help shift the perception of mental health from drooling loonies who should be shut away to something people are aware of and talk about. I can only speak for myself but I don't see anything funny about it.
  9. Bit economical with the truth, there - United debt was shifted from the bank to individual rich people who have agreed to write it off, hardly a business model likely to figure in many 101's any time soon. They could easily have gone the same way as us, they just got lucky. And btw, wasting your family's millions is nothing to be proud of.
  10. Well spotted, sir. At least we now know why those Motherwell, Hearts and Aberdeen fans have been attacking him....his secret Unionism can now come out of the closet.
  11. & I meant to say, we'll need to play Foster at RB on grounds of pure speed, to deal with their LB: not very progressive, but any other choice and we'll be on the receiving end of what Wallace does to most teams. They seem to play with one up, which would suit us - Jig & Moshni can mark one player well enough, and his goal aside Ciftci wasted possession and played rubbish passes - yes he's a threat but not that great. Impossible to say what they're like at the back as they wren't challenged, but at least we know they're not great at set pieces, as Wilson's goal showed. He's become rubbish, btw. Sad. Their attacking midfield might be difficult, but since we usually stuff the midfield with deep DF's it may cancel that out. Possibly the only problem - other than attitude - is that they may use the wings. I'm not sure how we'll cover that unless Gallagher or Aird are willing to work like Trojans, and we could hardly slag them if they didn't. Us playing wide might be a risk. Beat that, FM2014.
  12. Best he can hope for is to be parachuted into some team which is facing relegation. End of the day, celtc have a good scouting network, excellent buy & selling skills, and no competition. There's only one thing stopping them using this golden chance to develop something really special...celtc fans know where the issue lies as well as we do.
  13. Caught the 2nd half. As usual, dross. Fair play to 12,000 Hearts fans, not bad for a crap Friday night game when you are already down. I enjoyed BT's specific away fan count of 901; someone who works for them is plainly not an Arab. Quality was appalling though. Hearts can't keep the ball for more than three passes, United not much better. Their left back looks good, as does the wonderkid Gauld. Other than that, any side which works like the devil ought to be able to match them. I know they'll raise their game v us but if we give 100% effort there's not much between the sides. Be interesting to see which of Moshni & Ciftci gets sent off first, he seems like a complete twat.
  14. Can you call for transparency in secret?
  15. Prefer us not to even notice their whinging, tbh. Does their nut in even more. But the line about safety was a bit too much.
  16. Fair enough - I shouldn't have said that, each to their own. My apologies.
  17. Repeal, aye. Do we think it will be left to existing other legislation, or do we think another Bill will be drafted? When I posted a few weeks back about the 'Offensive Behviour by Huns at The Football Bill' I wasn't joking. At the very least, we can't say we didn't know what was coming if they get in.
  18. I will never understand how anyone can vote Labour. I don't mean Bluenoses, I just mean anyone.
  19. Reads more like desperately trying to paddle back out of shit creek to me!
  20. Well, that's all ended with Thomson and United looking like twats. You could gloat a bit, but it's just so childish it's no real. I do like the way United are spinning this as constructive and they'll talk in private from now on: bottom line is, they've come out of this looking ridiculous.
  21. There's one for Mssrs Levy & MacRae....not holding my breath.
  22. Apparently they are now saying they will talk to the SFA privately. Might have been an idea in the first place, although should we try that one on we'd be accused of conspiracies. Tits.
  23. Possibly Perry was suffering from some kind of ankle injury when I saw him previously - he did look absolutely dreadful. But if he couldn't move properly, he would look rubbish.
  24. As much as I hate to defend the SFA, this is getting stupid. We have the home dressing room because we were first out of the hat & that's how it works. Grow up, unless people are seriously suggesting redrawing the semis until we end up with DUFC first out...integrity, anyone? & given the amount of corporate tickets, it's not as easy as 2 stands each.
  25. Ah, I didn't quite grasp that it was a personal letter rather than a RF thing. My mistake, sorry.
