  1. Far be it for me to stand up for celtc fans, but 'felt uneasy or intimidated'? Balls. Didn't want Old Firm fans near them, yes. But stop hiding behind this simulated terror; Scotland isn't that wussy yet.
  2. I really have no idea how you spot them, they blend in so well with the normal posters. Any chance of banning smilies as well?
  3. I feel confident all and sundry can imagine the amount of hand wringing I am doing at the thought of denying the farmers of Guatemala a sale. Ah, life! If only it were easy.
  4. And anyway, I don't see what the fuss is about. All we need to do is release a new kit every season and we'll be quids in. <sobs>
  5. What's a TOR proxie? Some kind of young person's drug?
  6. I still have a sneaking liking for Chuck - he was a good laugh at the time & at the time, I sure needed one. Cost a bit, though. AMMS, I am afraid to say that after consultation with the Handwringers Loyal RSC your position as Chief Bringer of French Fancies to Our Tea Parties has been suspended until you can prove yourself truly liberal again.
  7. I suppose your good manners are to be applauded, but I must say I find daft comments about him entirely appropriate given his handling of Rangers.
  8. No, I think it really is that simple when you consider at what level the bar is set in Scottish football - about an inch off the ground. Why everyone doesn't do it is a complete mystery to me, but it's still no reason for us to join the demented hoofers and cloggers doing their 1950's Footballing Roadshow up and down the country every Saturday.
  9. It's not as if we have to implement anything ground breaking. The standard in this country is terrible, any team which plays half decent football is hailed as the tartan Barca All we need is coaching which insists upon passing and movement, keeping the ball and playing on the ground. That's all it would take for domestic dominance - any coaching set up which offers that is fine by me.
  10. Possibly. I wonder if King would be willing to sink x million into current shareholders though, rather than Rangers. He's shown no sign of doing so (nor would I, unless the club was really at death's door) to date. I dunno, unless they really are Tims behind all this (I shall be vindicated!) it makes more sense to create a calm environment, with up to £30m of free money + potential additional investment on terms, to build a strong business and see a decent, sustainable return. I fail to see what Big Brucie Bonus current investors see by challenging King to put up or feck off - doesn't seem very practical. But you never know, unfortunately.
  11. The 'back to the old days' argument is weak pish, indeed. Getting a donation from someone to fund all sorts of things which have fallen into ruin over the last 10 years or so is hardly the same as tax avoidance or bank debt. On the one hand we're supposed to rebuild the infrastructure, get youth & scouting systems in place, and compete for the title, but on the other hand when someone says they'll fund it it's vulgar, brush & hubristic. Bollocks, man.
  12. King's investment is just about the only solid-ish guarantee that investors will see a return on their money that I can see. It must have persuaded some of them, at least, that it is a better option to get on board with King than see their investment bumping along at 25p.
  13. Martinez for the Emirates, anyone?
  14. Did someone hack AMMS' account?! Though to be fair, when I put the idea forward over a pub lunch yesterday, another extremely sane Bear spat his drink all over the table. I don't think it'll fly, sadly.
  15. Maybe it's just been a long day but my reaction is 'meh'.
  16. As much as I'd like to, images of poorly coiffed bus magnates were involved & I fear litigation.
  17. Aye, he's a real Gers man now. Maybe we should just initiate new signings by throwing them head first down the Marble Staircase and save time.
  18. I've never had a boring wank in my life. ill-timed ones, ill-advised ones, exuberantly productive ones yes, but boring? Someone is doing something wrong.
  19. None of your common sense...it plainly says 'after consultation with the SPFL'.
  20. Well, aye, but dB isn't supporting the board, just pointing out that they have rights - which is true, but kinda laughable in the context of a football chief taking the hump over some abuse from fans.
  21. Bollocks to his religion, is he going to get us playing good football and laying the foundations for the future? All that matters.
  22. Not even that - if you tweeted Scottish FA, Tim Bastards' you'd certainly be blocked and might get a chap on the door from FoCus.
  23. They are perfectly entitled to their opinions same as we are. But it's plain who only appears whenever the board are doing something dumb, and can be safely ignored. LIkes of dB or D'Artagnan have to be taken seriously, surely.
  24. It's not that he has rights, mate - that's a given in a liberal democracy. What's awful about this is that he has voluntarily taken a post which brings with it abuse, be it Rangers or Pollok Juniors. Everyone knows it, some can take it, others can't. Maybe it's nothing to be proud of in Scots football culture, but that is how it is and it is not going to change. So by attacking not newspapers who berate us, not fans of other clubs who abuse us in illegal terms, not other clubs who cast aspersions on safety at our ground, but one of our own he is left looking like the wrong man in the wrong job. The only argument in favour I can think of is that Easdale is on a one man crusade to clean up football. And I don't think any of us buy that one.
  25. You think the complainant might have a job establishing that he has a character or positive reputation to defame? While I have no sympathy for him, this is going to look absolutely awful for Rangers. Going to make raising capital soooooo much easier, eh? As usual, it's the club that will suffer.
