  1. It's only fair to point out that the username in question is a homophone of 'my cunt'.
  2. Sad times indeed Bluerod. If you thought you were depressed before, wait until you've served a few months online.
  3. I don't claim to speak for anyone else but I feel like we've reached total impasse on these subjects and I have nothing new or different to add to any sort of debate. I'm going to excuse myself from further comment, unless something new happens, and call upon posters to chastise me should I forget and post anyway. Only so many times you can go round in circles before its gets boring.
  4. When politicians go on the box and fail to answer hard questions they are treating the electorate with contempt and the only way one can thole it is if one happens to be a voter of this or that party. You can't have a project entitled 'Ready to Listen' and then ignore - whether you feel they have any legitimacy or not - the questions thousands (and it is easily in the thousands) of fans want to ask, just because they might be awkward. I mean, I'm at a loss. You can only view that session as a positive move if you are completely behind Mr Wallace and refuse to engage critically with anything he has said or done, saving the possibility of it being a first step. Not answering the question about bonuses and redundancies is not only contemptuous, it's cowardly; responding to questions about the scouting network yet again with no specifics - what was the point? He might as well not have bothered.
  5. Tho tbf, it's been held in contempt for decades - Mr Hood springs to mind.
  6. I wasn't really expecting anything but it doesn't make it grate any the less that my support is held in quite so much contempt.
  7. This is clutching at straws D - there was and is no doubt who was blamed for the credit withdrawl when the review came out. None at all. Whatsoever. In any way. Even a bit. If there had been, the revelation that it had been raised in January would hardly have been...well, a revelation.
  8. Let's not jump down his throat - if this is a dipping of the toe in fan waters then it may be a good thing, a dry run for something a bit more substantial. Problem is there's next to no time left to take the next step. If he wants to persuade people he's the read deal, that session won't have changed anyone's mind on anything, so if you're going to do it Mr Wallace, do it real fast.
  9. Being heavily spammed by saddoes, who seem to labour under the delusion we would give a monkey's what a Tim thinks!
  10. No, we're firmly on the road to recovery and future greatness.
  11. Come on now, at least its a start. Let's see how it goes before slating it. That said, it is a controlled way of doing things, rather than fronting up.
  12. Was childishly hoping to ruffle a few youthful feathers with that one. 43 in body, 12 in mind!
  13. Come on, amid the disagreements I think one thing we can all agree on is that getting a ticket for a game in the near future is not going to be hard.
  14. Charlie Louvin? Looks like Alex MacDonald there! I love Emmylou, not entirely disconnected from the fact that she's a total doll. But what a voice. Her work with Gram Parsons is exceptional, two voices which shouldn't work together but do: In case anyone thinks this is going OT you should listen to the words of 'Bad Case of the Blues' above, and probably, the way things are going, the dangerous love affair of Emmylou & Gram as well. It fairly sums up The Rangers just now.
  15. Well said. This is more or less what my manifesto has become and that's from a position of extreme hostility to any sort of bottom-up activity as recently as a few months ago; my position has had to change as the inescapable consequences of the present style of ownership have become clearer to me. Not because of King, not because I don't understand the risks, but because if I want to see a Rangers I can recognise, the structure at the top has to change.
  16. In effect. The IPO and ST monies could be seen that way, except investors and fans have had fuck all back.
  17. I have a feeling the Gersnet, 'Andy Steel's about the youngest and he's 43' demographic is not the market they have in mind, gents.
  18. Could be any number of reasons, no need to assume the worst. Although it certainly is tempting.
  19. Not sure about Tomball & the Glasers, BH, they veer perilously close to oompah band music in that medley! I only know their rather fey version of 'Last Thing on My Mind' which certainly has superb harmonies but lacks raw emotion. Will check out the other videos and see. Anyway, I'll see your Tomball and raise you The Laurel Canyon Ramblers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Es6lUEbyA_s Which I was listening to last night, between The Grateful Dead and this timeless classic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e11h73WhqK4
  20. Therein lies the rub: you think things can be saved, others think it's already too late. Never the twain shall meet and no amount of aspersions on the intelligence of the opposing side, from either side, is going to make any difference.
  21. Shame for the poor sod that did that on Christmas Day.
  22. Southampton or Liverpool. Not Scottish I know but it can be done.
