  1. I just wanted to say, with all the fuss and negativity and everything, that every time Rangers pick up 3 points, or win a Cup tie, or have a decent showing in Europe, I for one will be raising a glass to the manager, Walter Smith. I just wanted to say that.
  2. Where's the stonewall penalties? Things are getting worse. Apparently, the Dundee boss says the guy who flung himself down in the 1st half wouldn't cheat because he's too young. Jocky Scott, you may be a cretin, don't insult my intelligence by assuming I am too!
  3. I have signed as well. Hope it makes some difference.
  4. Well, get them. Bitcheese.
  5. Well, what does he expect, "marry my daughter?" Grow up.
  6. That's cutting your nose off to spite your face, Maineflyer. The bank has effectively ousted Murray, that's the primary aim achieved - the next thing has to be to get the best man in at the best price. Anything that 'persuades' Lloyds to think more favourably toward a deal has to be worth it, regardless of how grateful you may be that SDM will shortly be history.
  7. About time for a Bosnian flag day? If there's any player who has done a job, quietly and without fuss, in the last couple of years it would Papac. The Stuart Munro for a new generation.
  8. That's the future, right there.
  9. Well, I do have an account I use for online transactions at BoS. It currently has 67GBP in it...just enough for some porn, but unlikely to bother the high heid yins should I move it! Nevertheless, first chance I get I shall close it. There's no way I'm going to have my money, no matter how little, aiding that lot.
  10. Regarding the fans being split, that's unavoidable given (a) the size of the fanbase and (b) the way we appropriate certain issues, which either include or exclude some fans, depending on their personal choice. Outside of the football, you can't have a united support when it's the size of ours. If you need a unifed, popular front, it'll have to be under the clear understanding that it's about football and absolutely, completely, nothing else; otherwise people will start arguing.
  11. I quite like the open mic approach; it's the incomprehensible regional types who do the reporting I object to.
  12. Can someone who isn't a lazy, portly, slightly drunk oaf find out which banks fall under the Lloyd's banner? And since I've had a drink, there's 2 L's in Lloyds. Doing my nut in, all this Loyds.
  13. Kind of like with Spiers, I used to thoroughly enjoy Radio Scotland when it was a refreshing antidote to the OF obsession of Radio Clyde. Now it's no better than the Clydebank CSC, and one of the main reasons is yer man and his obvious distaste for The Rangers. Ain't no-one forcing him to go to Ibrox, is there? And yet he still keeps going...
  14. Ah, the disappointment and sense of bitter, impotent rage is coming through my wee tranny radio very, very sweetly. Up yours, Richard!
  15. I don't pretend to know much about Fleck - but isn't it about time he was given a run in the position he made his name in, ie forward? Especially since, unless they've rebuilt it since I was last there, the wing at Dens is about 2 feet from byline to penalty box.
  16. 'Incendiary' ?!?!? Someone put a dictionary at the top of that wallah's Christmas list!
  17. For what it's worth, I took Walter's comment to mean that no-one would be coming in, and everyone was available to leave, on the instructions of the bank and that, in his eyes, was tantamount to running the club. Maybe not day to day involvement, but to a football man like Walter the team is the club - if the bank is influencing player movement, and it is, they can be said to be running the club. But that sounds a bit convoluted now I write it down.
  18. <petted lip> That's a question I've been asking a lot, lately.
  19. Heard this on the radio tonight. Levein, going on the radio to complain about Dundee doing their business through the media. Whatever happens re:takeovers, I shall be offering a prayer each night to the Great Spirit that this infantile loudmouth is never, ever, anywhere near the Marble Staircase.
  20. It would be the first instance of the City taking any notice whatsoever of something a member of the government has to say in a good long while. If they are willing to ignore feeble suggestions on liquidity or bonuses, what makes you think they'll take any notice of someone they had probably never heard of until this afternoon? If we were at death's door and he stepped in I'd say fair enough. I doubt it's that bad, though, and I think he's trying to cash in.
  21. Well, it's not meant as stick for Norris, but Jim Murphy has always struck me as a huge walloper who would struggle as a councillor, let alone a minister. I'd be happier if he took himself and buggered off. I will admit to being paranoid but this strikes me as a base attempt to shore up the vote and connect Labour with Rangers. I'd prefer to see politicians keep well away.
  22. My goodness, if the RST statement can be accused of talking a lot and saying nothing, that one takes the biscuit.
  23. 'Facts' are still thin on the ground, though. Plenty of hearsay, but that's not the same.
  24. The only argument I have with that, Frankie, is that I was quite happy to applaud Murray for the good years, so I feel more than a little disloyal to put the boot in now times are, shall we say, sticky. I don't doubt in the long run, like in 25 years, when someone writes a history of Rangers David Murray will have quite a lot of dung flung at him...I can't do that just yet. It's too soon.
