  1. I can act in my own best interests, thank you very much.
  2. I will sound naive here, but surely to goodness if an employee of the club is struck down with an illness which prevents him working, there ought to be an insurance plan in place to cover costs?
  3. Someone told him something along those lines. What goes on?
  4. Thanks for posting that, Frankie.
  5. Where do I start? Cammy Fraser - turned out to be a strong midfielder with a range of passing and a deadly dead ball specialist. It was playing in a pish team that made him look crap. 86-87, when him and Davie Cooper were on form, we were outstanding. Gary Stevens - looked lazy, best RB I've seen. Only Hutton comes close. Mark Hateley - looked abysmal, turned out OK. NIgel Spackman, John McGregor, through to Hutton today. And I suppose I should mention that I was there with the 'best' of them, telling Ally where he could go. The only player I can think of that I was right about was Craig P******n.
  6. His comedy routine would be funnier if his paper didn't indulge the deranged ones quite so often, and with quite so much sympathy. Still and all, it's been good to hear the idiots mocked for once. The only downside is, there were loads of "normal" tims (and there's a relative term if ever I heard one) on pointing out that the loonies are, well, loonies, and an embarrassment. Spoilsports!!
  7. I haven't heard the word 'blowhard' since I last read my Biggles stories.
  8. Yes, there's plenty of grounds for skepticism. Nothing so far exonorates or incriminates anyone, though. Sexual assault must be totally freaked. I don't know how long it would take people to come forward. One day to 30 years, as we've seen in child abuse cases. Who knows?
  9. Oh God...only a short stop away from Buckie!!
  10. Evidence of blackmail is not evidence of innocence, nor of guilt on the part of the female involved. I don't mean to accuse Allan McGregor, but I do feel the reaction is misogynistic.
  11. Elite, pfffffffffffffffffffffffttt. All those snakes and Tharglets. Codename M.A.T. Loyal.
  12. Feeling a little stung, are they?
  13. Dunt sound that bad!
  14. You can't say that, Zappa. We know nothing about it yet.
  15. It would be best to say nothing about the accusation, so I won't. Wider picture - you can see McG heading south should he be proven innocent, into the bigger pond on England where he can reclaim some anonymity - at least that should reduce the debt a bit.
  16. In his defence, Ian Redford (a) is the only player whose name makes a square when you type in the letters R E D F, and (b) he looked like me when I was younger. On the field, there's no excuse at all. I thought the OP was talking about the House of Fraser, it took me a while to click. But then, I doubt many would automatically associate Redford with the hall of fame.
  17. So long as it isn't KevinThomson8.
  18. Speaking as a business illiterate, wouldn't having someone bumping their gums (not just RST, anyone) in the media throw a few prspective spanners in the works of a takeover? Or is that accepted practice?
  19. If he means there were a lot of delusional sheep, blindly following the given line, believing they alone are virtuous while enjoying the world's contempt, he's not far off the mark.
  20. Ah, if only we all matured by the time we were 18! Would that it were so simple...but it ain't, and I can confidently predict that every user of this forum will know some twat who hasn't matured by 20, 30 or 40. Anyone who knows me (40 next year) will attest the truth of this.
  21. Nah, what I'm saying is if someone waves emormous amounts of cash around, we can't really be too furious if the player in question takes the money and runs. We'll be compensated with the money, which isn't much, but better than nothing. Players aren't fans, in short.
  22. If I stood to make round about 3m in the next three years, I'd be off like an effing shot. No point in pretending emotion comes into it, when we're dealing with such huge numbers.
  23. I agree - but sometimes I feel like some fans are just waiting, almost wanting us to slip up, so that they may vent their spleen. Not aimed especially at Superally, more the general bulk of moany bassas.
  24. I always seem to be in a minority of one. Hey ho. Rothen has ball control and vision to burn, and I was hoping that he could be the start of us playing a decent brand of football - but then, I've been hoping for that since about 1985! It didn't work out for him, but he's a good player nonetheless.
  25. No pressure, then!
