It's not as if Walter can actually decide who takes over after him, though; as much as may push for a McCoist/McDowall team, those who make the decision may decide otherwise.

Ach well, he looks like an 8M$ player now. Either Holloway is one fuck amazing coacj, or we're all talking pish.

I don't know if this fly here, so I should mention it's a joke: Maineflyer get tae fcuk and take yer bumboy Wabash with ye!

The rate we're going most of them will get a game next season.

I've got to say, these threads are - well, I was going to say mind-numbingly boring, but it's too important for that - bottom line, we know nothing and have no influence. I can't see why people get so het up trying to prove they do or don't know this or that. All we can do it wait, see what happens, and support whatever 11 run out next season.

The Times(Scotland) is part closing down.
andy steel replied to 26th of foot's topic in Rangers Chat
Crikey, I do feel bad about the staff getting bagged. As a former subscriber to said newspaper, which despite it's more obvious right wing failings was always worth reading both for the depth and quality of writing, I will happily admit to stopping buying both The Times and Sunday Times as soon as I saw Spiers 'work' in both. I didn't think it would lead to redundancies, but in all honesty the Scottish content of both was slightly embarrassing, plainly an afterthought. One doesn't purchase the London Times to read about a break in at a church in Carnwadric. Can we claim the credit for the drop in sales? For every Bear like myself who ceased to buy the paper, surely there would be a tim who rushed to read Spiersy's 'objective' guff? -
Well I won't - it was a gratuitous comment, nasty and uncalled for. Didn't enlighten me one iota about David Murray and even if it did, good manners would have prevented me dwelling on the failings of our fathers. I may be hazarding a stab in the dark here, but this sort of thing may just be a clue as to why the club hierarchy dislike the online community. We are all tarred with the same brush. Anyway. It stays, so that's that. But I would be uncomfortable not airing my discomfort.

Thomson is a good player for me. Brown a liability who shows all the signs of not being able to grow up. Hibs fans must be delighted at getting 6.5m for them, just the same.

You have to wonder at the club sometimes. Why are they trying to set up another friendly in England, which will only lead to the usual headlines and bad publicity when the media machine kicks in? Let's just go to Germany as per.

Maybe I'm too sensitive, but I think the line about his father is out of order and ought to be removed.

Touched a nerve there, Nacho.

He is a complete twit, though. I imagine the board got fed up with his constant whining. And let's not forget, he couldn't beat a 9-man Bears team in the CIS Final. Add to that, St Mirren are one of the least attractive sides in the history of football. I'm glad to see him go.

Right enough, those should look brilliant blown up and stuck in a shop window. "Come on Kev...give me sex, Kev...love the camera, Kev...yeah, baby!"
-
Fair enough on Bougherra. Can we then say that possibly we might not have to cash in on Davis, or McGregor?
-
I wonder if the money for Wilson might mean that selling Bougherra is not quite so necessary? If selling one meant we kept the other, I would call that a superb bit of business.

I won't be getting upset about losing a player who's had not even half a season in the first team for several millions...sounds alright to me. Next season, Weir and Broadfoot.

Grooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnn Sun's splitting the heavens, I've had a nice day in the nice weather, looking forward to a chicken dinner, swift check of gersnet to see the news and what do we get...........if 'they' can find a way into the EPL I will personally drive every single one of them down there, if it means we don't have to listen to this sort of whining anymore. I'm really sick of it. GROW UP!!!

He'll get an extra cheer, that's for sure. If I was him I'd be off like a shot for a final crack at a decent league and a different lifestyle. Germany is a brilliant country.

Hoi! It was me who jumped in and stirred it up, if you don't mind. Credit where it's due.

Apparently, one of the Ellis camp was speaking informally to a Sky worker whom he met at the golf club/health club, can't recall which, and he thought he was speaking off the record. Which explains why Sky were going with it, and why the Ellis camp were unprepared to say anything else.

Your post wasn't so subtle as to require the attentions of a mind reader. But avoid the question! It's not, as you say, very interesting.
-
Interesting...any reason why you feel it was the VB letter, and not the many other correspondents who wrote to the Globe, which was worthwhile? You totally sound like David Edgar.

Aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........sweet.

Is there some kind of maximum IQ for pro footballers, and if they're above it - say, intelligent enough to wipe their arse with paper instead of their hand- they're not allowed to join? Either sign, or don't sign. Not exactly a MENSA question. No need to do your thinking in public, for goodness sake.
