  1. Loving that translation. 'Algeria will now vibrate twice for Rangers' Fantastic.
  2. Don't care if no-one else has mentioned it, I'm giving my opinion not anyone else's. Far from closing eyes/ears I find myself, at the start of the season, avidly consuming everything about The Rangers I can; I'm going by the understanding of our tactics on Wednesday, the comparisons like 'If it was Scotland we'd be happy with it'; the approval given to the fans, and the airtime given them on the Radio shows I heard pre and post match to give a balanced view of Manchester then and now; by a slight tilting in the printed word (such as I see) away from 'Huns all bad!!!' to 'Nobody's perfect'. Alas, your assumption that I'm going by Ewan Cameron is incorrect, which just goes to prove that we can all read too much into things which aren't perhaps, there. You invented a position for me from my post, it's equally possible I'm inventing a position for the media from a few weeks.
  3. I feel the exact opposite, Frankie, that the balance has shifted away from 100% negative coverage of Rangers and 100% fawning over TGFITW to a far more balanced view, whereby we are rightly chastised for our behavioural failings but defended when there are mitigating circumstances (Romania, Manchester to a degree and so on). I feel this season especially has seen the usual email suspects who bombard the radio and TV given less attention, while the unmissable behaviour of said GFITW has seen their halo slip somewhat. I don't have any beef with this complaint, not ever having read the Scotsman, but I don't think we're being singled out as much as before, quite a lot of which is down to the fans behaviour, some down to the media getting bored. I don't really care why it is as it will shift one way or the other soon enough, as it always has, but I can't agree it's getting worse at the minute.
  4. Well, I can't say as I give a shit what he says, thinks or does ever. Heyho.
  5. Surely that's just a website filter...Timmy will have forced his pudgy, greasy fingers to type Rangers in his email to UEFA,
  6. I imagine he accepted the judges ruling (think it was a sheriff actually, but never mind) about the Famine Song?
  7. Oh come on, surely no-one actually cares what Stan Collymore says?
  8. Let's not get carried away - there were plenty of us pished out of our faces that day, which while not exactly surprising isn't impeccable either.
  9. I hope he isn't holding his breath for the reply...actually, I hope he is.
  10. Be a bit pointless telling them if the systems weren't working, anyway.
  11. I hope he falls out his ice cream van and his hat gets blown off his head and lands on the flag pole on top of the Main Stand...I only worry that the club will suffer. When I got in today I was suprised to see Michael Ball (portly West End star), Clarissa Dickson (portly cook), and Richard and Judy (portly TV types) all on TV giving a general thumbs down to religion in general and yer man in particular. I should think anyone who is against religion, and the Roman version especially, would be dancing in the streets that such a fellow is chosen to represent that sect. Never mind protesting, you should be welcoming him!
  12. I don't doubt there'll be repercussions (after all, our media can't slate the team so they'll have to go after the fans), but I doubt I'd have been able to resist singing it myself. No need to be so grumpy to EireBear, though, MF.
  13. Only makes it better to hear the bleating from down South and our own enemies.
  14. While it's always good to watch your timmy pals get uncomfy, it's still a bit depressing that this is news.
  15. Danny is plainly meaning the team we have just now; and that team would get walloped!
  16. Meh. Not worth getting worked up about.
  17. Maybe you could write it again.
  18. You can't blame his teammates for his inability to pass on Saturday, though. We could have had Coco the clown on one wing and Pavarotti on the other and he still would have passed straight to Accies players.
  19. Naismith's workrate on Saturday offered hope for the season ahead - if others had been working as hard off the ball and tracking back as he was, we'd have been more comfortable. I've always been a fan of his and I think he's doing well already for us this year.
  20. I certainly fetched up in the hope of seeing us rattle in 4 or 5, and by doing so encourage my son to get into supporting Scotland. Not surprisingly, he isn't that keen on going back.
  21. I'm unsure how the not very religious but nominally Protestant Dalglish can be said to be part of a Papist conspiracy. That said, I'm glad someone else thinks he was usually pish for Scotland.
  22. We supported you then, we'll support you now.
  23. Cost me £28 for me and my boy, not my idea of cheap, especially considering the fare on offer. Teo adult tickets would have cost you £50.
  24. I feel the same way, but while it's fine for we fans to think that way and say it out loud, the boss has to be more circumspect. Put it this way, it's the sort of thing Walter would only do in extremis and only because he would know, given his stature, it would be accepted. Craig Levein has a long way to go before he can use the same strategy and get away with it.
