Makes me wish I was a betting man! Can't see past Jerry tonight. Altho the Greeks are organised, if he turns up suitably motivated and with the correct attitude, I suspect he will crash through the Greek defences in a manner not seen since the invasion of Crete.

No, they won't be, because our football from top to bottom is riddled with incompetence. But the shops, pubs and hotels of Elgin, Annan et al will be gearing up for this unexpected bonus!

St Mirren aren't run at a loss, I believe. And I'd be surprised if Ross County are. While the losses the tims make are sustained thru their business model and those of Hearts are non-existent, really, since they're owed to their owner. Add the two you mention and that's six of the eleven clubs who can manage - maybe struggle, but manage. I dunno about the others, but Hibs generally put finance before team so they could, relegation permitting, hang on at their current level of mediocrity. I'd like to think we were that necessary but I don't think we are. Who else is there? Killie seem on the brink of administration; if Dundee Utd don't get their anticipated sales windfall they may well struggle soon; ICT I know nothing about; St Johnstone the same. You're right enough about the quality level though - if you thought the last 5 years have been pish, you ain't seen nothing yet!

It's a case of that punishment (Div 1) being seen as helping out the clubs who are so keen to put the boot into us atm, Thinker. Our chastisement ought to be just that, for us; devising a desperate 'compromise' whereby our punishment serves to ameliorate the sufferings of others lacks a certain.....integrity?

<shrug> Credit for these teams for at least getting this done. There seems no reason to wait another 14 days or whatever - if they don't know how they're voting by now, they'll never know. Incidentally, I heard a thing about DUFC's season ticket sales being done, how they are usually about 4,000 at this point. Tells its own story - they have approx. 1/10 of our season ticket support, and at a guess about 1/100 of our overall fanbase. Its for that reason that they'll spent 99% of their time in our shadow. Doubtless they are enjoying their 1% just now, mind you!

Looks like an 11-1 vote to me.

Why not save time and just write 'hand-wringers'? You know you want to!! I see if differently. And not but to satisfy this Rangers fan. If it's only me, so what? That's how I feel.

For me it's not about what anyone else will say or think. It's about how I feel about it. Despite having no time for religion, it seems the BB & Sunday School had some sort of Calvanist effect on me, coz I can't get comfy with...kind of...sneaking away from the money issue rather than at least trying to resolve it. Bluedell's work in accounts no doubt allows him to see a wider capitalist business practice where this sort of thing happens a fair bit but to this outsider looking in it just doesn't sit right.

Reckon the big clubs (used to think we were a big club!) would use our stance/court fight to either create their own superleague or wring more money out of UEFA by threatening to make a superleague...then tell us to fuck off to our backwater again. Not worth the candle imo.

One thing's for sure Anchorman, and that is that in Scotland, where everybody knows everybody else, nothing will be a secret for long.

Jeezo, Bomber.

Good to see the common sense reaction to this from our fans.

Cause that's how the world works? Or, if it doesn't, it's how it should work and it would be 'doing the right thing' to accept responsibilities. You argue, if I read you aright, that these responsibilities are Whytes...I don't think we can seperate the two as easily as that so I agree with AMMS.

Well, it's either one of two things. The complete dismantling of European football, the biggest cash generator on planet football, the removal of UEFA's power, the destruction of FIFA regulations, visits to the European Courts and probably Parliament, and a new future which no-one, least of all Sky Sports and their £4b deal, knows what's happening or A load of shite.

I hear them hammers hammering, they're nailing down my lid They're shutting out the light, and I still don't know what I did...

I don't suppose it covers all of them, but so many of those people must have accepted the proposal because they thought they were still able to help The Rangers, in some way, even at their own expense. 'An absolute disgrace' doesn't even begin to cover it. I used to think the only time I was humiliated as a Bear was when those two cretins in Ardrossan did their things, but I'm not so sure now. Genuine question - if you were walking down the street, and a certain Mr C Whyte happened by, what would you do? I have no record of any sort, but I fancy a spell inside might await me.

Gersnet is lucky to have so many thoughtful and connected posters, it's a shame that it is outdone by the other two sites in terms of articles. Our worldwide image is, to an extent, defined by online articles people from around the world can access. I don't think our image is being served well enough, and I want to change that. If anyone has any thoughts they want to fire into the outside world, please PM me. If you don't, I'll probably PM you anyway, so you might as well.

Grin and bear it, mate. They'll get bored soon enough.

Ffs, the last thing we need right now is a cock measuring contest between fans.

He wasn't 'running to SSN', he was publicising the course set up by Ricky Gillies to get young Scots players college scholarships in the States. They asked him stuff, naturally. H answered fairly well but pointed out he wasn't really qualified to give full answers. But aye, dig the guy up.

I demand a Rangers. That's all.

Roll on that day. I for one won't have much stomach left for more fights by then, though. Need a period of recovery.
