  1. I certainly share your depression, but I have to say regarding this that I've never thought enough about other clubs to patronise them. I don't care about them, full stop. Of course, they are certainly enjoying their moment of power just now, and who can blame them? In the end, though, even if we don't exist, they will remain effectively meaningless.
  2. Fantastic. That moves everything on, doesn't it. The inability of anyone in the game to do ANYTHING is beyond belief. What is it about Scottish football that attracts useless twats (and yes I appreciate the irony!)?
  3. I must say, they sound like a bunch of total wanks. 'I don't know how it is done is Scotland'...prick. If he doesn't know we're a basket case by now he should be sacked; but since he does, and is taking a cheap shot at Scotland, I shall do likewise: Not taking abuse friom the country that failed to appreciate Mozart and gave the world Hitler and Waldheim.
  4. Well, if you can afford it, buy some shares in those who voted 'no' quick as yu can, then raise a challenge at the AGM.
  5. There's a good chance - and this is just a hunch - that you may get your wish. FFs, St Johnstone representing Scotland in Europe. We are (were) bad enough, but they are fucking hopeless.
  6. Sounds like one of those 'edited by comedians' Wiki pages, tbh. If that actually is his life, then jeezo. Each to their own, but what a sad bastard.
  7. OUTSTANDING!! I'd try that myself, but in a Scottish winter, I fear my normally epic trouser truncheon would be invisible from two rows down, never mind the penalty spot. Still the best tourney I can remember for a long time. Tho they do need to play two 1/4 finals a day, so as to make recovery time more equal.
  8. I hate to be contrary but...of all the players I thought might leave, I saw Wallace's departure asap as being a means to offset the monies owed to Hearts for him, and shut up some of the whining from haters. But no, he goes and spoils my plan! If Alexander also stays, and big Broadfoot, at least there's the beginnings of a defence taking shape.
  9. Alan B'Stard, there's a blast from the past. Dutchy is quite right about the shirt sponsors and I apologise to UEFA for impunging their integritah.
  10. Sideburns are coming back in! I read it in my horoscope!
  11. I fail to see why. They were relegated on the grounds of coming last. Unless there's a sub clause in the SFL-SPL articles regarding promotion and relegation, which states that in the light of one club going pffft the previous season's most shite side by a country mile will be reinstated, the sane move would be to promote the next side up...one can hardly reward failure, can one? Anyhow, look on the bright side. With Dunfermline in the SPL, us neutral Bears can look forward to a season of Germany style passing football lighting up the dreich Scots winter months. The New Golden Dawn which awaits the grass roots activists who have revolutionized the game has only got brighter with this news.
  12. Took the liberty of correcting your post.
  13. Just watched the Euro2012 press conferences on SSN. The movie star looks of Xavi Alonso, speaking clearly and impressively in English, were sullied by the wee monitor advertising Cruz beer...by the revolving hoarding behind him (which makes me feel slightly travel sick) advertising Cruz lager....and the great big bottle of Cruz beer right in front of him. If they have changed their rules I will stand corrected, but don't UEFA oblige teams to remove alcohol logos from their strips? The idea of any integrity in the game is laughable. No doubt Scotland is set to show the rest of the world the True Shining Path of Moral Righteousness, and we will be held up as an example for all to follow. I can't wait.
  14. Well that's what I hope he has done - by deliberately portraying Charles Green as outwith the timeline of 'proper' Rangers, he can increase pressure on him to cut and run. The more I type this explanation the less I believe it myself, I have to say. It seems too Machieavellian to be credible.
  15. Because I feel there must be reason why he said what he did. Despite the attempts by the OP to patronise SN and portray him as dim, he's as clever and articulate a player as I have seen in many a long year - he must have known what he was saying and there must be a reason why he did so. I know this is taking a lot on trust but the alternative is ghastly.
  16. Seems unlikely, given the actions of the lunatic element amongst our support - he'd be lucky to get out of Govan let alone Glasgow. If we can get this issue sorted there is at least a target to work toward, no matter how lowly. While we have no clue where we're playing it becomes impossible to run a football club, which is why I am so fearful as to our continued existence in any form. Ruling out the SPL at least reduces the options - now we know it is SFL or extinction. Now we can move away from SPL teams and focus on SFL teams. Will they vote us in? What will they require in return? Is there any option outwith it (don't think there is!)? One question at least has been answered (the SPL vote) so in that respect, I suppose this is forward movement. It doesn't feel like it, mind.
  17. I might also add, it is hardly an exclusive feature of Rangers websites that fans of others teams are banned. If that's an example of our alleged mandatory arrogance they're fairly scraping the bottom of the barrel.
  18. Just the same, I too wish SN had not made his comments about the club not being the same - not because it gives ammo to our enemies but because it breaks my heart. Clinging to the hope that this whole thing is for legal reasons - putting pressure on the newco to cut and run. No doubt that hope will vanish when he signs for Everton but if I see a straw nowadays, I clutch at it.
  19. Especially when his definition of 'countenance' is wrong.
  20. I recall the Motherwell board claiming they had been 'flooded' with letters and emails. The only thing flooded in Motherwell is the low level line. Totally obvious who has been sending the emails etc.
  21. Confused. Whyte may end up spending time inside - good news! Things will now be dragged out for about another year (at a guess) - bad news! I can't believe the others in Scottish football will be able to retract their positions, even should they be found to be counter to natural justice or due process or what have you. Things have gone too far for that. So on balance, it seems like a resolution has become further away rather than nearer - and as much as I'd love to see Whyte in jail, I'd love to see the whole shambles sorted out even more. I think. Confused.
  22. Don't we all? Not an empty one, either.
  23. We have to remember that by the act of turning up for training, they would apparently declare their consent to being TUPE'd. This seems mad, but if that's the case then it would easily force players' hands. It's a whole legal minefield. Don't blame them but I wish they hadn't said the stuff about the club not being the same one anymore. That's all I've got left to hold on to!
  24. That's pretty much what he did say!
