But who were the idiots? What have they written on Zeus' website? Is it that bad???

I think most of us who clutched at that particular straw were honest enough to say that it seemed unlikely, and don't deserved to be slagged for it.

I am completely lost here...what has happened?

Sir Walter.

We're not really applying for anything on the basis of this survey. It's more or less (I assume) a way of telling the rest of Scotland that if they parachute us into D1 or some SPL2 or whatever, it's not us that asked for it - it's their own greed and lack of integrity.
-
Finally, someone asks us what we think! Well done on this.

We only had one man capable of heading such a body and he's blotted his copybook in the eyes of some. Without a trusted figurehead it just won't work.

And they say we are the ones in denial. Clubs have found their places in Scottish football. Lack of interest from their own communities, ludicrously high admission prices, mediocre product and alternative attractions have seen all but 3 clubs in Scotland level out at their deserved position - nowhere. We have joined them there through insanity, which I hope is temporary. But no amount of taking the money generated by Rangers and celtc will lift these clubs above the bog standard. That this is so is confirmed by their sponsor agreements - why on earth do SMFC have a deal which is reliant, in black & white, on the presence of the OF? If a club is not attractive enough even to bring in the local corner shop, they have to face their reality - as things stand, they are at best an irrelevance and at worst a blight, a drain. There's only one way for clubs on the brink to rise, and that is by adopting proper football. Will they do it? Nah, easier to sponge off someone else and whine about how they are keeping you down. Well, don't hold your breath for the money you think you see coming over the hill, money you will take from the OF and which you could never, ever generate through the efforts of your team. With my son, I attended a superbly well supported Scotland u-21 game last season in Paisley, it must have been a near sell out. Never again. To quote Fergus, not one thin dime. Not because I object to them voting no - that seems right to me. It's because I object to the hypocrisy of people bleating about integrity while attempting to ponce off others. The likes of the Paisley Pimps FC can get fucked, either literally or metaphorically depending on your taste. Grrr.

Rangers Even Third Division will object to clubâ??s presence
andy steel replied to Steve1872's topic in Rangers Chat
'Polluted'? Normally I don't have the energy to moan about that sort of language but I must have got a good sleep last night. That's disgusting...it is any wonder that, even amongst normal people, we are Mr Unpopular? -
None of this is right, Charles. Maybe if I had the faintest idea what your rescue plans were, I'd be more inclined to cut you some slack.

Rangers Even Third Division will object to clubâ??s presence
andy steel replied to Steve1872's topic in Rangers Chat
You're forced to wonder, yet again, how these people ever made their money. Having listened to Jim McInally, I doubt he's as stupid as Rae is suggesting here. There are two possible outcomes for his Peterhead side of a Rangers foisted upon the 3rd, both positive for them. Firstly, either they benefit from increased revenue and gain promotion, which gives them an advantage over the 2nd division teams they will face the next season. Second, they fail to win promotion, but have their investment of this year more than covered and stand well placed, financially and on the field, to challenge for promotion the following year. It's a win-win for the 3rd division clubs. As for his segregation point, I can't remember too many riots during recent OF v 3rd Div teams in Scottish Cup games. He's either scraping the bottom of the excuses barrel or he's a trumpet. -
Mega talented. As good as Cooper with the ball at his feet. But being a lazy, lazy get made all that virtually worthless.

Naimsith would be daft to go to Stoke. A nothing much team, coached by an infantile cheat who makes Lennon look mature. It was Pulis' Stoke, unsurprisingly, who were the first team to feign serious injury after the Fabrice Muamba incident last season. He belongs in the gutter and I would strongly urge anyone who values football to shun him and his long ball merchants.

Document sent to SFL clubs to put Rangers into the First Division
andy steel replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Mixed messages from them iirc, but it's easy to get confused! At this point I don't feel like extending the hand of friendship to anyone associated with the game in our country, excepting Jim Traynor who plainly doesn't like us but can see what the result of killing us would be. And even that would be grudging. -
Coz they know they are vulnerable, that's why. How they imagine banning legal challenges is the best solutions to illegal punishments is anyone's guess, but we ain't dealing with the top of the class at Harvard Business School here.

You know what, about Cammy F. I too thought he was total shit, and though I missed the (I think) St Mirren game where he celebrated scoring with the V sign, under Souness he became superb. And I watched the home game against Inter Milan the other day and thought he looked brilliant there, as well.

SFA Knew Whyte wasn't Paying PAYE 15 Months Ago.......Traynor&Jackson
andy steel replied to North Rd's topic in Rangers Chat
Wow. Just wow. Given the SFA tribunal's finding that directors, including John Greig et al, 'must have known' and were thus guilty, where does that leave the SFA? Wow. -
Potential Bombshell for Regan & Liewall over Emails (Oleg)
andy steel replied to North Rd's topic in Rangers Chat
Having had time to think it over, I actually hope it isn't true. The first OF game in the future is going to be heavy enough - if you throw this into the mix it is a recipe for absolute chaos. Even at the expense of us losing out, I hope this isn't true. -

Would be fabulous if true. Canny see it, though, they can't be that stupid. Mind, I said that about David Murray. -
Rangers newco: Plans for club to enter Scottish Division One
andy steel replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
When we win our next top flight title I would love to see us go out for the presentation, then when it was handed to our skipper, he whipped down his shorts and shat in the trophy. Then they could take it round the stadium, at arms length obviously, so we could all shit in it. About all it's fit for. -
Take a brave man to chin Big Dave, he was huge. I did come to hate Chris Burke due to his constant diving, it really did my nut in. Was accused of being a bigot on RM for that. If I'm honest - and I think most fans who tuned out in the 80s pre-Souness would have to admit this - I couldn't stand it when McCoist's name was read out on the team sheet. Just typed 'team shite' there, which is equally accurate. At least he proved me well wrong.

Document sent to SFL clubs to put Rangers into the First Division
andy steel replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Don't be so fucking sure...no club outside Rangers is getting a penny of my money from here on in. I'm just as happy to see SFL teams suffer as I am SPL teams. If the SFL think we're going to resusitate their moribund and long-overdue-for-extinction members they've another thought coming. -
I suppose if Murray is playing, but otherwise... Plus the wenches shrieking as they pat another gentle tap over the net is mental.
