King then created further problems in his crazy deals to try and get it out of that, which cost us a lot of cash. King made it personal, which Rangers ended up paying the cost of. The fight wasn't taken away from Rangers but rather iy made it more difficult for Rangers to get away from the deal. I haven't heard that and have no reason to believe it's true. Park wanted to invest in the club and tried to buy it prior to 2011. With all due respect, it dsounds like a crazy internet rumour, but I stand to be corrected. It's my view that King did it because there was nobody else willing to buy his shares. He was effectively controlling C1872 through their board and the shadow director, and the board of C1872 acted shamefully by agreeing to give him their money rather than invest the money in the club buy buying new shares. I'd like to think that I'm objective and can see both the good and bad that King and Park have done.

King and Park deserve credit for the amount of finance that they put in and we're now struggling as it was always said that it was front loaded. However King has caused as many issues as Park with some of his crazy retail deals and the cash it's taken to get out of them. In my opinion, King doesn't want back in. He's basically done his bit (other than to bitch about Park in the press any time we're about to play an OF game) and doesn't have the enthusiasm or cash to get more involved. Let's remember he's 70 next year. Park is pretty much the same, which is why he's stepped away and resigned as a director. He's 74 and not keeping that well, as far as I know. I'm not sure how much influence he has any more.

£600K for Cantwell is fairly crap. £2 million for Wright, if true, is great business. As for Hagi, can his career really afford another year playing for the B team, after spending most of the 22/23 season injured? Seems crazy if he's trying to play hardball. He needs to play for his own sake and should be doing everything he can to get a move away.

We've got Dessers, Danilo and Igamane going for one spot in the team. I don't think we'll be recruiting another one.

It's a close-run thing between Dessers and Matondo. Each with 2 goals, Matondo with 2 assists and Dessers who was integral to the 4th with a great lay-off and run and set up chances for Lawrence, Matondo and Jefte. I thought Dessers just shaded it.

I'm not really too sure what he means, unless he's saying that the crowd at Ibrox give him congratulations but he's now reading negative comments online and taking that as no support? He should know that the online support doesn't reflect the views of a lot who go to games and he can't take that to heart, unless he's got the maturity of a 13 year old girl. He's been offered nothing but support whenever he plays. Or is he talking about lack of support from the management team? It's too cryptic and not doing himself any favours. FWIW I'd love him to stay and start at the weekend as he's the most creative player at the club.

I'm certainly presuming it's our fault, given our lack of rebuttal. Maybe it's the lack of a CEO, maybe it is actually our fault. On this issue, I'm glad we don't have to put up with their fans at our ground, but it could have been sold as a positive by us, if we had a decent PR.

I don't think we're intentionally tanking this season. It's just the new reality. It's what we're going to have over the next few years unless something dramatically changes. When King and the 3 bears came in, there was an injection of capital and we saw a big improvement, but with the warning that everything was front-loaded. This was boosted by good runs in Europe and a couple of big transfers. We're now coming out of this cycle and with no CL income, no big outgoing transfers and little to no incoming finance, we're going to have to get used to this level of activity.

Jefte was great but I'm going for Dessers. He changed the game when he came on plus he had the inspiration to score the important first goal.
