  1. Just buy one of those "round the world" tickets Gribz - they are only US$1000
  2. Fair point Cammy - but my dislike of us signing him would be based entirely on his hatred towards us - his 'religion' wouldn't even be an after-thought for me, it ALL boils down to his hatred of our great club. His 'religion' also never MADE him have the venomous feelings he has towards us. I do see what you are saying though
  3. In the same vein though Danny, this SHOULD be pinned up in the dressing room as added motivation to the team to stick it right up him. Yes it is a wind-up and it is meant to antagonise the Rangers faithful. I think it was Cammy that said he was glad to see Lennon had re-signed - I was thinking the EXACT same thing - I WANTED him to stay at Celtic so that when we win the league this year it will be the ultimate GIRUY to Lennon, especially as it will be his last season.
  4. Neil Lennon would be an absolute no-no Cammy..... but for me it is because of the hatred he has towards us as a club (and everything about the club)and not his religion. Has nothing to do with religion but everything to do with the person he is.
  5. For me your comment in bold calscot was THE SINGLE biggest plus of signing MoJo - it made the footballing world (or at least Scotland) see that we were moving forward in an inclusive way. Of course, the fact he was also a very good striker AND the fact that we got him from under the noses of our fiercest rivals after he had been paraded at Parkhead with the green and grey hoops was just icing on the cake.
  6. Semantics calscot - yes, one goal is better than none but it still doesn't make a striker. Nieto was injured and HE never got a fair chance either did he ? As for getting a chance ahead of Jeffers I am the wrong person to be asking on that front.
  7. One goal a striker does not make Colsh. I remember watching one of the Hibs games at Ibrox and he came on as a sub and was the ONLY player showing any heart and fight - but at this level you need a bit more than that. He is so far down the pecking order though that it is right for HIM as well as the club for him to leave.
  8. No matter the timing, there are wind-ups and there are wind-ups. To call anyone's family something such-like is despicable. Call the guy himself something, he should be able to deal with it but when you bring family into it then it can be another matter. I don't condone what ZZ did but there just is no need to bring family into such an occasion.
  9. Are they really THAT anti-Rangers ?
  10. Doesn't mean SOME didn't tear up their season tickets though

    Ricksen?

Buba, I presume (bad thing to do) that your suggestion that FR should do this relates to what he said that he feels Rangers want shot of him as he is a high earner ? Funny thing is that I read that PLG had a one-on-one meeting with FR last week in an attempt to make FR see how he could be an important member of the team this year and, I presume, what PLG wanted or expected of him. Is he really that stupid that he behaves the way he did less than a week later ? FR doesn't deserve Rangers.

Believe it or not, much as though I would cut Gazza more slack, if WS made the decision to sack Gazza I would STILL be at ease with the decision because you have to trust that the manager makes decisions in the best interests of the club. Would I be disappointed ? YES. At the end of the day the CLUB should ALWAYS be bigger than any one person - be it player, manager, chairman, fan or anyone else connected to the club. I happen to agree with you Cammy - when there is a serious breach of club rules then a player should go - if he doesn't then you effectively tell the players that the rules are there to be broken and not adhered to. Which is why, given that this appears to be a breach in PLG's rules for behavior that I think Rangers SHOULD send Ricksen packing. PLG needs to show the players that there will be no bending of any rules for any player - the rest of them will soon realise that they follow the guidelines or face the same punishment. I think it will be good for the club if Ricksen is punted - the players will know they have to behave appropriately or they will be gone too

Also different players too - the ONLY manner in which Gazza and Ricksen should be compared is with their disciplinary problems and behaviour. If I were the manager I think I would cut a lot more slack to someone like Gazza who was mercurial - Ricksen just thinks he is a great player, never really shown it (unless he needed a new contract). But that is my own personal opinion.

    Ricksen?

Can't say I disagree Cammy - but what exactly is your point ? Is it what what do we think the FANS reaction will be ? If it is related to what SHOULD happen then I don't believe you can compare the 2 - you can compare the antics of both Gazza and Ricksen but the managers ultimately SHOULD make the decision of how to punish them and obviously WS and PLG are very different in their methods and handling of incidents. If Ricksen pulls the jersey on then he is a player of Rangers and would get my full backing as every other player does - but if he is sacked/sold/told to leave then I am at ease with that decision too.

    Ricksen?

But just how many "final warnings" does he need ? What kind of signal does it send out to the other players if he gets a "final warning" ? Well, I can do as I please because I will just get a warning ? I think PLG will make an example of him.
  16. Yep, sure he is Bulgarian - I thought it was a bit of a coup for Juve too - season long loan.... for him to play in Serie B perhaps and then move when they are back in Serie A ?
  17. Bojinov it is that went in the opposite direction Colshy - Bojinov's is a season long loan with view to permanent move.
  18. I KNEW you would use that as a comeback - I never checked my team once - I am proud of my achievement....... NOT.
  19. I thought they were getting someone in the deal too though ?

    Ricksen?

My reason for having a go is not for the original incident stewarty - but he is a public figure representing Rangers and arguing with an air stewardess isn't the best of behaviour is it ? but his lack of remorse over his actions doesn't sit well. It is all assumption but I am sure that PLG laid his rules out to the team and it seems that Ricksen ADMITS he broke those rules - that is enough for PLG to take the action he deems fit and he has to stamp his authority on the team. Breaking the rules is breaking the rules - if Ricksen broke them as seems to be the case then he deserves whatever punishment is meted out to him. I won't be sad to see him go.

Ditto Frankie. He has a past reputation, had a shocker of a season last season, acts in an inappropriate way on a plane, brings the club into disrepute with his actions........ and then plays the victim !?!?! Ricksen..... GTF
  22. Yeah, sad that his career will be blighted by that. And you are right, the Italians are the epitome of wind-up merchants but ZZ, having played in Italy for a few years SHOULD have known better.
