So if you think Spurs will finish 4th why wouldn't you take the Spurs bet ?
-
Some bets that looked pretty decent to me for the new season Spurs - 11/8 (without Chelsea, Liverpool, Man U and Arsenal) Gers - 6/5 Sheva top scorer - 5/1 Boyd top scorer - 6/4 Ashley Cole to still be an Arsenal player on Sept 1 - 4/1 Bellamy Liverpool's top scorer - 2/1 I am sure there are more bets but I like all of these ones.

Ach shite, you beat me to it Colsh

Or when you still live with her eh Gav ?
-
But Geo.... your post said Trezeguet was being "courted" - given Gav's background he likely thought you meant he was up in court on some charges - not signing for them
-
Newcastle agreed a fee and he has agreed personal terms - set to take a medical over the weekend. Liverpool and Spurs were/are also apparently interested

Let's all laugh at Gav, lets all laugh at Gav - na na na na. "Last edited by Gazza_8 : Today at 03:30 PM"

Agreed gisabeer.... and I think that we are already seeing this because most of the PLG recruits have been 25 or younger (Letizi and Sionko aside) - and in Letizi's case IMO he is a stop-gap for a better option next season. That isn't to say that we can't win the championship this season because I felt even last season we had the best squad in the SPL and SHOULD have won it - so with the recruits we have seen so far (and the players leaving I am not too bothered about - I think PLG could have got more out of PL but lets wait to see what the replacement will be like) allied to the tactical nous that PLG seems to have - I think we have a great chance of winning the SPL. However, as long as we get a close second, play attractive football, bleed youngsters and are seen to be progressing both on AND off the pitch I won't be overly disappointed

Exactly (both Cammy AND Colshy) - they say that this is the price you pay for being a celebrity - Bullshit. I defy anyone to take that level of abuse and still hold back - it is very difficult to hold back when faced with that - no matter the status of the individual it is human nature that most would have lashed out. Fair play to big Dunc for walking away from it, especially with a few jars in him. I don't think he would ever have been suited to the West Coast goldfish bowl which is a shame as he could have been a very, very good player for us.
-
To be fair you CAN have too many Dado's in your team if you have 12 Danny, that would be illegal Seriously though - I concur, I like this guys desire to play for us - and whilst maybe the Austrian league isn't the strongest, scoring 22 goals in your first season in a foreign country is a pretty good return !

Was it not for some previous altercation in Stirling ?

Not sponging at all Koeman - the offer was made by me - I am glad you have taken me up on it. Gisabeer, I havent received any newsletters either (maybe 1) - keep the chin up though, the Trust are indeed doing some good work and, if nothing else, you are a Rangers shareholder for your 10 quid !

They toured Bermuda last year and made the MLS final this season after a great season. Bermuda has a guy that plays with them.

I think you could be right - by which time Vienna will also know if they make the CL group stages (I think)

New England Revolution. Stevie Nicol, ex Liverpool player was/is manager

I can see Austria Vienna holding out to see whether or not they make the group stages of the CL before potentially off-loading him (which makes no difference to us as he can still play in the UEFA if he moves to us).

I did Koeman - and it kicked off a huge fuss (my naivety in all things financial+internet caused it). If you give me your details I can send an email to Joanne at the Trust and she can input all your details for you Koeman (Frankie, I think I have lost Joanne's email address - can you please provide again ?) - I THINK that all is required is your name, email address and mailing address - Joanne can put all the details in and then you will receive your welcome email and share certificate through the post. I offered 10 memberships and was taken up with 6 of them - so I still have a few quid to spare on them -

Correcta mondo Chris (haven't paid for them but still have the money sitting waiting to be used). Cammy, I wil send you an extra 10 quid when I send you the money for the banner - so you take 10 quid of it for yourself. Jim, do you have paypal or anything such like and I can give you the 10 quid for your membership too ?

Murray makes clearest hint yet that club is for sale...
craig replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Re the Inland Revenue and the land sale thing the Revenue WILL take an interest in it but it is still legal. What is likely is that the Revenue would asses DM on the true value of the land and not the amount he sold it for. As for the catering side it is a double edged sword. Catering is not, and never should be IMO, a core business of Rangers so shouldn't be in the Rangers group of businesses. Surely we must be making royalties on the catering side of things anyway - not as much as 14 mill but surely a reasonable amount ? -
13 mill for Zambrotta whilst Real got Cannavaro AND Emerson for 13.7 - I know which deal I would be most happy to conclude......

Sky sports - seems Jeffers does in less than 90 minutes what he couldn't do for us in 900. Blackburn Rovers beat League newcomers Accrington Stanley 3-0 on a busy night of friendly action, with summer signings Francis Jeffers and Jason Roberts both netting at The Fraser Eagle Stadium. Former Wigan man Roberts opened the scoring after 17 minutes as he reacted quickly to fire home after Paul Gallagher's shot was saved, and fellow new-boy Jeffers followed his lead on 66 minutes when he converted after great work from trialist Didier Agathe. Matt Derbyshire wrapped up the scoring with quarter of an hour to go as he headed home after originally hitting the post, in a comfortable night for Mark Hughes' side against their neighbours. Seol Ki-hyeon was another man to open his account at a new club as he scored in Reading's 3-2 win over Rushden & Diamonds. The South Korean international scored on 20 minutes to draw the Premiership side level after Jon Ashton's opener, and turned provider when his corner was headed home by Ibrahima Sonko in the second half. Simon Cox's 69th minute strike gave Steve Coppell's side a two-goal cushion, but Ashton took his second from the penalty spot with 13 minutes remaining in a game that saw contract rebel Steve Sidwell last the full 90 minutes. Manchester City begun their pre-season campaign with a 3-3 draw with Wrexham that saw Ousmane Dabo, Joe Hart, Dietmar Hamann and Paul Dickov make their debuts. Stuart Pearce's men earned an early lead through Ishmael Miller but Chris Llewellyn equalised with a fine strike from the edge of the box. Pearce made widespread changes at the break and substitute Georgios Samaras scored twice, first netting with a deflected effort before curling home a fine effort. However Wrexham proved no pushovers and managed to equalise on both occasions, with Matty Done and then a Sylvain Distin own goal earning them a draw. Portsmouth were more successful in their trip to Torquay as a strong side earned a 3-0 win at the League Two side. However the win came at a cost as keeper Dean Kiely broke a finger in the warm-up, before Svetoslav Todorov opened the scoring on the brink of half time with an easy finish. Tresor Lomana Lua Lua headed home early in the second period, and it was left to trialist Berlin to complete the scoring when he lobbed the Torquay keeper. Everton could only draw 0-0 with Preston North End for Paul McKenna's testimonial game.
