I think that Fergie also respects PLG's man-management otherwise why loan them out to us ? If this is the case then it must bode well for the other Rangers-bred youngsters that are coming through. Yeah, isn't it funny that Strachan seems to be trying to bury the hatchet. I agree Re being a feeder club Pete but in these instances I believe it is in our best interests. PLG had just arrived at the club, finances are tight and if you look at the positions these young guys are playing in then they are fighting for places with other Rangers youngsters (Adam and Hutton) and also in positions which we ALL felt needed strengthening. The 2 Manu U kids definitely look like they strengthen for us, they also give PLG more time to determine if Adam, Hutton and others are good enough for his team at the same time as we don't spend a boat-load of money on them. I will give you an example..... would you rather have Bardsley coming in on a short-term basis having cost nothing and his wages will be relatively small OR would you prefer to bring in an "experienced" Bosman who requests AND gets large wages but you find out he isn't very good and you then can't shift him because of the wages (ala....... Bernard, although that was obvious). It is a no-brainer to me Pete - but in the long-term I agree that I would prefer we found and bled in our own youth.

I might be wrong Trailio but I was always of the opinion that the booking fee was an expected tag on to each ticket. Personally I don't think 1.25 is an expensive price to pay and I would be reasonably comfortable that the fee probably only just covers expenses. Could be wrong though

From the official site PAUL LE GUEN has confirmed that Chris Burke will miss this weekend's SPL match with Kilmarnock but expressed relief that the winger's ankle injury is not as serious as first feared. Chris Burke in action against HeartsBurke picked up the knock following a robust challenge from former team-mate Fernando Ricksen during Wednesday night's friendly match with Zenit St Petersburg and had to be taken off just four minutes after appearing as a substitute. That sparked fears that Burke may have suffered a repeat of the injury sustained during the club's pre-season tour of South Africa that kept him out for a month but Le Guen today revealed the injury was not as debilitating this time around. He said: "The injury is not as serious as it was in South Africa. He will miss the next game but after that we can be hopeful. "I'm disappointed as he will miss the next game as he is an important player for us. "I was afraid after the Zenit game but it's good news that he seems ok."

Might not be as stupid as you think Gazza. My geography isn't perfect but it could be that he is flying into Malmo to save on flight costs - and Denmark is right next door to Sweden. Malmo is actually the closest airport to the Sweden/Denmark border and Copenhagen is only about 20 miles from Malmo. Looks like that Tim isn't as stupid as first sounded. Dunn on the other hand.........

They do have a chance.... but Benfica and Copenhagen will be saying the same thing about their chances, and I think all 3 are fighting for 2nd place. Man U will beat Celtic home and away, Benfica put Man U out last season and Copenhagen just put Ajax out.
