Not going by his World Cup performances he isn't (shite that is). ANd I also don't think he is over-rated either
-
It doesn't confirm ANYTHING about Martin. He has been injured and PLG MIGHT not want to risk him. Man, I hate how assumptions can be made so flippantly. You could very well be right but your reasoning could be very flawed !
-
Martin looked great early doors but, much like most of the rest of the team, has been crap for a while now
-
I think Martin is the only other one we have is he not ?
-
Or load the page from Mozilla firefox and you can C&P
-
Murray can GFT then - I think it is time for some fans to wake up and smell the coffee
-
BRING HIM HOME !!
-
Maybe he is much more than promising but until he breaks through into the top team any youngster will always be labelled "promising" - by definition it means they show promise, right ? - or that they haven't broken through yet. Not trying to be pedantic calscot..... My post about the Tims and Man U (I think, not sure, that Chelsea & Arsenal were sniffing too) was that when you have teams of that calibre (Man U and Chelsea, Arsena & Man U, NOT Celtic) then the kid obviously has talent. Hopefully he, and the rest that are coming through, will shine for a long time to come
-
If only Milan had been forced into Serie B we might have gotten him back THIS season..... oh well.

I would actually be disappointed if any potential suitors just turned to DM and said "ohhh, you want "x" million - no problem here you go" as that would indicate bad business acumen to me. I would much prefer that they knock DM down but 5-10 million (not likely) and use that saved money for the youth development and team strengthening. The thing is though - I don't think the team needs that much strengthening - again I think we have a squad that should be challenging Celtic - but we seem to have far too many under-achievers right now
-
This thread should probably be merged with Cammy's "Forza Rino" thread as it is the same interview. He would be a great addition and I think we all hope it happens, sooner rather than later would be great.
-
When Fleck signed for us he was also wanted by the Tims and Man U
-
That is true - but McGregor's play has also saved us points this season. If we can't SCORE goals then Klos will do no more than help us get a single point per game. Being 10 behind Celtic this early that is not enough. Klos would perhaps give the defence confidence but improving their play requires them, not Klos, to be focussed and put in a solid shift.
-
And as I typed that it is 2-1 - looking good right now Gribz !
-
I was at Easter Road on the opening day of the season against Aberdeen. Thomson, surprisingly, was the worst of the 3. Stewart puts in a tremendous shift (wish we had someone that would do the same). They have a very effective middle 3. Stewart wins the ball and puts in a shift. Thomson has the craft and creativity, spreading passes all over the place, Brown offers pace, skill, finishing and he can also hold the ball up well. So they have a well-balanced midfield.

I hope some of those bets involved Hibs being up at half time ?
-
Seems you have the midas touch this weekend Gribz..... Hearts down 1-0 already ! EDIT : 2-0 after 16 mins. Hope you didnt place that bet !
-
But Gribz, having Klos in goal only solves, potentially, ONE problem (letting goals in). Where are we going to score the goals when the chances and the creativity has dried up ? Sadly I don't think Klos will make a "massive" difference. One man does not make a team.

Hopefully you are a Prophet in the mould of Nostradamus calscot (although I hope your prophecies play out a lot sooner than some of his have been interpreted to have done).
-
Exactly - the easy decision was to keep McGregor in until he made ONE mistake - and then he had reason to drop him - but his decision to play Letizi meant that it was Letizi that was only going to be one mistake from a roasting. It is a lose-lose for both players all right - and their manager in my opinion
-
Domestic dominance (though not likely on recent showings) ??? I think that BOTH should be prioritised - one doesn't have to come before the other.
-
He may actually gain MORE respect if he DOES drop Letizi and say "I admit I was wrong". But that doesn't help either - because then he has one keeper (McGregor) who feels he is a 2nd-class citizen and he has another (Letizi) who lives in fear of one small mistake and being made a scape-goat. But I also fully expect to see Letizi in goal on Thursday night.
-
Think it was Koeman.
-
Ditto. We saw today what CAN happen when a keeper has been out for an extended period. Letizi had little to do but the one thing he had to do he screwed it up IMO. Now... Letizi has been out for 7 weeks whilst Klos has been out for well over a year. Klos is definitely the best keeper we have and I am a big fan of Klos - but IMO you stick with your FORM players and that would be Mcgregor hands down. It is pretty simple in my eyes, McGregor has done NOTHING on the pitch to warrant being dropped.
-
You serious with that quote ? We havent played good football recently but we played VERY well at the start of the season. Right now we are a team playing with very low confidence and, IMO, the wrong formation at Ibrox. Every team that comes to Ibrox is playing with one man up front and 10 behind the ball yet we play with 4 defenders. Time for the 3-5-2 at Ibrox in my opinion.
