Who is an arse ? which one ?
-
Not long till we hear PLG's version of events then...... Hopefully we will have a clearer picture of who is right and who is wrong.....
-
And do you know that to be the case ?
-
We are lurching from crisis to crisis with more than just PLG and/or Barry Ferguson to blame. This may not worry some but one thing which we haven't considered is that there is the very real possibility that we could lose BOTH our manager AND our now-previous captain. I think that is a worrisome position to be in for our once-great Club !
-
I guess we know whose side the fans are on - will be interesting to see just what the full story is behind this. If PLG's decision is right then I wonder if those same "fans" who are abusing PLG will eat humble pie - doubt it....... We can be so fickle at times - we don't know the true story yet and already fans are deciding, with little to no information, who is in the right and who is wrong. Me ? I STILL reserve judgement until we know the true story.
-
Is that such a bad thing Mike ?
-
EXACTLY Ian !! He is putting consistent teams out on the pitch and they, like last season, seem to be deciding that they only need to play against the "bigger" teams. PLG sends them out with what he thinks is a winning formula each and every game - if they don't have the right attitude then they won't get their just rewards. And if you think they have had the right attitude in the ICT and St Mirren games then you were watching a different team to me. As for Ferguson being dropped you over-simplify things. Just because a player has been our best player of late (and I agree he has) this is MUCH, MUCH MORE than a form and ability decision regarding PLG and Ferguson - to suggest it is merely a football decision is fool-hardy.
-
Butr surely it can't all be down to the manager. As Boyd said the other day "When we step over that white line it is down to the players and we simply haven't been good enough". I am by no means exonerating PLG but the players who step onto the pitch have to shoulder responsibility too.
-
I have to agree with you there Cammy. I like Clement as a player but on Saturday he completely disappeared and left Ferguson as the only central midfielder - Clement most certainly wasnt the only offender though
-
But would it be brought to a head ? We thought the same last season with Eck..... I don't see how things have changed an awful lot
-
Ohhh, don't get me wrong - I don't think he wants to put a single PENNY of his own money into the club - I just don't buy the story that he sold Ferguson because of a final demand. If that were the case I would have expected the truth to break at some point !
-
You dont believe what ?
-
Are you saying that DM would struggle to find 5 mill if he needed to ? Highly doubt it ! Don't forget Cammy that I am certainly not a pro-DM person and agree with you on many things Re DM. All I was saying was that,at that time, if DM HAD to find 5 mill he could have done so without selling the club's prized asset.
-
Are you a conspiracy theorist Cammy ? DM has a shed-load of money and whilst we know that he doesnt like to spend it on Rangers he could easily have trumped up the 5 mill without selling his prized asset. But maybe you are right - one thing we do know is that what you, and I, have posted is nothing but speculation.
-
Ferguson ASKED for a transfer yet you imply that he was sold because Murray wanted the cash for him. Yes the club could have kept him but why keep someone against their will ??
-
Unfortunately not - the fans are no more, technically, than paying customers - we have no greater right to the information than the press have.
-
Drivel ! Driving force in a poor team..... To even suggest that PLG would sack someone because he is jealous of their popularity is laughable - what a pile of nonsense. And to then decide to have a go at PLG for being French AND having a go at the French players is stupid too. You honestly think with DM at the helm that the support are powerful ? Aye, right
-
Likewise, for me I will reserve judgement until we know exactly what happened.
-
I don't think it is sneaky. Seems as if everything came to a head after the game the other day, PLG thought about it, called Fergie in and made his decision. I would be pretty sure they didn't think "let's boot him out but lets make sure and do it when we have an away game and on New Year's Day just so we can minimise the flak we have to take"
-
I doubt he will remain as club captain for long. Maybe it means he will be replacing Fergie in the team tomorrow ?
-
rae is only a temporary measure - obviously, as he cant get a 1st team place. It depends on who the replacements will be, if any, as to whether I will be disappointed with this or not. We now find ourselves probably having to move Hemdani back into midfield which means we could end up with a bombscare in central defence again !
-
I would have thought that you would at least wait to find out the reasons behind it before assuming PLG is in the wrong and should be sacked......
-
I think he is off. There is more to this than meets the eye and I, for one, will have an open mind as to who is right or wrong in all of this.
-
Things can't get a whole lot worse anyway - maybe it is what is needed - or am I just having a case of wishful thinking ?
-
Not confirmed on official site but when it is released by the press the way they have I think it is pretty much given that this story is true
