  1. Maybe it is emotion but I have that same feeling and it doesn't sit well with this Bear !
  2. Source ? If so then DM should already have been looking for a replacement and should have one lined up ! We lurch from crisis to crisis - I wonder what the next "Moonbeam" will be ? A manager that sticks around for more than half a season ?
  3. Not necessarily Frankie - it depends on what they have/will agree to as severance. PLG to PSG is mutually exclusive to PLG leaving us. I am saddened as I truly felt he could make us a force again - but IF it is TRULY by mutual consent then he no longer fancied it and we are best seeing him go. Billy Davies couldn't have us performing any worse than we are I guess, but how much respect would he command in the dressing room ? And will he get the funds to strengthen a team which so obviously needs strengthening ?
  4. This just smacks of bullshit to me. PLG leaving conveniently at the same time as this all breaks loose - I can't help but feel (and yes this IS conjecture) that Barry Ferguson has played a large part in PLG leaving. Slate me if you like but it sends out all the wrong signals. Looking forward to the 2 Jimmy's taking over......
  5. Up shit creek IMO. Unless the Mint has someone already lined up we have no manager and the window is only open for a month to get decent players in.

    Tranfers??

Agreed, Sionko has been a HUGE disappointment and IMO is a waste of a wage - we should be looking to ship him out ASAP to free his wages up for someone else
  7. Clubs will know the situation but I would be pretty certain there would be plenty of suitors and that could spark a bidding war. One may offset the other.
  8. Don't think there is much substance to his article to be honest. We all knew PLG had guts for making the decision he did and that is pretty much the only thing Spiers is saying, aside from his dig at RST.
  9. Silly season indeed Mike - but thanks for the heads up

Strange because you say so Jim ? He may think the same about you....

I think it can be argued that we played our best football this season in the first few games of the season whilst BF wasn't playing - so it can be argued the opposite way too Cammy. I won't dispute that Rangers are a better team with him in it but I disagree, to an extent, that when he doesn't play we play poorly (certainly in those first few games). Don't disagree there - so we are establishing that the players have responsibility, in part, for our downfall this season, right ? I think I would too, just not publicly, and if it has come down to him completely disobeying orders given from the manager then that is subordination and the manager has no other option than to do what he did (these are big IF's).
  12. Mike, Care to post what the rumours currently are ? Being 3500 miles away isnt helping me much......
  13. Not in this transfer window I wouldn't think - Boab is still injured is he not ?

    Agree with that statement !!

Yep it has split the fans down the middle. Why should people not support PLG though ? You have inside info on what happened between the pair of them that suggests PLG was wrong ?
  16. I think Advocaat was always going to be linked with Barry as he was the one that made him captain, they seemed to get along etc etc

Possibly... but then not guaranteed, right ? And even if so then why the need for such a drastic upturn in fight and determination ? Would that be suggesting that the players haven't been fighting the cause this season ? And should therefore also shoulder blame and responsibility for our hitherto shambolic season ?
  18. If BF goes to a club on loan then it is a sure sign that PLG will leave. That scenario is non-workable and if anyone inside the club thinks it is then they are more stupid than I thought.
  19. I said this yesterday Mike - we face the very real prospect of losing both of them - and that will help our club NOT ONE BIT. I don't know though - PLG knows how highly regarded BF is amongst the fans so he knows that he would face extreme criticism over this - but if he wasn't going to be around for the longer term to try and turn the club round then why bother making that decision (and I don't buy the "working his ticket" argument). I think PLG felt it was a necessary move for the club to move forward. What I would really like to see is BF knuckle down, tow the party line and try to win back the respect of PLG. IF BF was refusing to follow tactics then he is WRONG - whether you agree with the managers tactics or not as a player you are there to carry them out to the exact request of the manager.

There is no doubting that Barry Ferguson is a class player, NO DOUBT. However in watching that game yesterday I saw a team who had more collective fight and determination in them than we have seen this season. I also saw a team who had a higher tempo, nicer, crisper passing, at times, than we have seen this season. I thought from middle to front we played reasonably well without Barry. The defence needs major surgery but I thought we performed decently yesterday.
  21. And whether you support BF OR PLG in this instance the above is the most worrying thing for me. How do you convince another manager to come when one of your players is seen to be bigger than the manager ???
