I didnt think he was that bad, but also lacked service. Don't think he showed lack of effort but his "gait" points to that - best analogy I can give is to think to a young Charlie Adam... always looked like he was towing a caravan, unfit and couldnt run... yet by most accounts was one of, if not the, fittest at the club. Just doesnt look like it. How do we expect Morelos to pressure 2 CB's by himself with little support ?

The problem at the other end, IMO, is not so much their crossing ability but they have nothing to aim at - we literally throw crosses into the box and we have one striker in the box and that is it. The whole approach needs re-thought.

I didn't think you were mate

Strange how we all see things differently. Ure has failed to impress me whenever I have seen him. Lovelace needs more time as he is still very young.

Mate, you may need to go back to last season to see the chronology of what happened. Goldson hadn't signed a contract and it was expiring. Souttar was signed in January, when Goldson wasn't signing. I suspect the club brought Souttar in on the expectation that Goldson wouldnt sign a new contract (Goldson himself said that he decided very late to sign a new contract). It wasn't about the club WANTING to swap them, it was because they feared Goldson was leaving anyway. -
Yeah, there is that. We can but hope
-
And what makes it worse worse..... he wasnt behind Tavernier and if you watch Tavernier closely he actually points to Jota..... Fvck knows why given Goldson was in front of Tav marking Kyogo..... so it isnt as if he wasnt aware of Jota. Ugghhhhhhh, get this season ended pronto

Well run club, low expectations. Don't even have an Academy really - only just restarted it last season.
-
You don't think that those can change now that Wilson isnt there ? MB chose targets ? Thought they were DoF targets ? I am having fun with ya mate, glad you noticed
-
Aye, I am just the man for that announcement. I WOULD, however, bring him in to run the Academy
-
To play fast and loose with the custodianship of the club in that way would be mental, IMO

Sounds right up my street

This is a very valid point IMHO. But it isnt necessarily down to the players themselves. The SFA, as we all know, couldnt organise a piss up in a brewery - so why would we expect them to get grassroots football right ?
-
Depends. The Celtic player was on the ground so shouldnt have been an issue - Barisic, and lesser so Lundstram, were facing play (ie facing forwards) whereas Raskin wasnt, he was facing goal. So he could very well have been looking for them to take the ball as that would make sense if they were facing play whilst he wasnt. None of them, plus Tavernier, covered themselves in glory, that is for sure. In some masochistic way, it was exactly like the trainwreck of a season we have had.

For MyGers ? Not according to the email I got last week
-
Why would you feel better ? With no DoF any signings will be manager's signings... was that not the very thing you didn't like ?
-
The Tony Macaroni isnt a bad wee set up. Martindale is a good coach too. My kid had trials with Livvy a couple of years ago, Bartley was doing the session - he also is a good guy.
-
Yes, Raskin was waiting for them (was Barisic AND Lundstram) to come for the ball and they both stopped.

I would contend that our biggest need in the summer is a goalscorer. Morelos will be gone, Colak doesnt seem to fit our style (I would still keep him as he is a natural finisher) but we need a McCoist/Defoe type striker. -

Left sided doesnt mean left footed mate. I can't remember the ones you mention but were they right sided (as opposed to right-footed) CB's ? Being a right vs left sided CB can be markedly different - your body shape when receiving the ball, when tackling, the spaces you are closing down and even your distribution are different. And it doesnt necessarily equate to being left or right footed. Souttar is a right-footed, right-sided CB. As is King, as is Goldson. Van Dijk at Liverpool is a right-footed, left-sided CB. Klopp doesnt ever play him on the right side of CB, with good reason. -
looks like he will be a Premier League player....

None of us can answer that definitively.... -
Those running the football department at the club would.... and it is telling that very few have been given an opportunity
-
Right both ways

Beale has already said that he has told the players in previous games, particularly against that lot. At what point does it stop becoming coaching and start becoming players responsibilities ??
