  1. I certainly hope there is
  2. I would be tempted to give Itten a run too - but not at the expense of Morelos - I think he can play the right side of the front 3 well, and with Morelos running the channels more often it allows interchangeable strikers and, certainly from what we saw of Itten against Motherwell, he knows where the back of the net is.
  3. £5 million on Barkas and we have THREE better keepers, all of whom cost us nothing. And, to that point, Barkas WILL cost them more points this season. Forster was outstanding for them last year - with Barkas they will lose more goals and more points. Pivotal area of the team and one in which they have significantly downgraded.
  4. Tiny is an amazing woman - one of the kindest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Generations of her family have worked for the club for over 100 years. So sad to see her a shadow of her former self. But look at the simple joy on her face when Goldson sticks that second in. The stories she has about the club are very much worth listening as she has had multiple jobs at the club, her club, she loves the Rangers that is for sure.
  5. Mate, the word on the street is that for one season he is costing them £4 million - it was, apparently, a £2 million loan fee plus his £50k a week wages. Seemingly Brighton can't believe that anyone would have given them a loan fee for Duffy
  6. Exactly GS. The Tims want Edouard gone because he has downed tools. He has been used as a sub because he has been below par and out of sorts form wise. Now they use his absence as an excuse for getting soundly beaten. Jullien is a bombscare and even the Tims say this. Would he have played instead of Welsh ? Absolutely. But did Welsh do anything wrong ? Nope. Indeed, the lad did OK and far better than St Duffy, who was absolute guff. But Jullien's absence was used as an excuse for them being soundly beaten. Christie I give them - he is their most creative force and would definitely have played and also definitely have improved them. Forrest would have played too. But Lennon saying that Ajeti wasnt fit to start and some other mug wasnt fit to start - these are just papering over the cracks and I hope the tims believe what Lennon says - because if they do, they may realise too late that Lennon is bullshitting his way into retaining his job. They havent been playing well and have scored late goals against both Dundee Utd and St Johnstone to get wins - whilst some would say that is the sign of champions it is difficult to continue to do that for a full season. We, on the other hand, other than Hibs for 25 minutes, are dominating games and conceding very, very little. Gerrard (actually, probably Beale - who I think is the unsung hero of our tactics) is a far better tactician than Lennon. And it now seems that our recruitment department is also better than theirs. Long may all of this continue.
  7. The Morelos point is a good one, however I look at it a different way.... we are winning games without him performing the way we know he can. WHEN he gets back into form who will stop us ?
  8. He was voted AC Milan's worst ever player I believe. Went on loan to Torino, their fans wanted him punted back to AC Milan. Lennon reckons he had a good game. So long as Lennon is Celtic manager we have a better than average chance of winning this league !
  9. No, that was the last fee paid for him by Southampton.
  10. Need to see that, I missed it
  11. Thought Kent did excellent to get that kind of contact on it. Fantastic block IMO
  12. That was a nothing slap.
  13. Berker’s been terrible. I’d be hooking him at half time
  14. We’ve been pish, and we’re still winning. they are a terrible football team. Nothing to fear.
  15. Word on the street (think it was on here actually) is that Celtic have guaranteed that ST holders get exclusive access to live games whilst fans aren't allowed into Parkhead. They are desperate for even a token amount of fans to get entry so that they can then say "fans are allowed back in therefore you no longer are guaranteed exclusive access". From what I have read, again, I think it was on here, Rangers have been doing pretty well financially from selling the live TV games to non-ST holders - whilst Celtic, because of the way they sold it to their fans, don't have that ability at present.
  16. Christie would have been a stick on mate. He has been their most creative influence this season.
  17. This is a good, but somewhat complex point compo. If we win there are a couple of outcomes - first, obviously we gain an advantage in the table. The psychological then comes into play - it obviously would give us a boost mentally to win, but what would the impact be on Celtic ? It either dents their confidence and puts them on notice that they wont have it all their own way, meaning they will be under pressure. But it could be that they simply brush it off because "we were missing key players". There is also the possibility of siege mentality - although that usually comes when players feel slighted - I doubt they can feel slighted in this instance - unless at UEFA given this is all due to international break. At this point nobody knows what the impact will be on them. However, if they manage to win, the psychological damage to us could be longer lasting given they will point to winning with a weakened team and suggestion if we can't beat their second team we wouldnt be able to beat their strongest. Doesnt bear thinking about. The focus is on them missing player - however, we might be missing players every bit as influential. Hopefully not. One point to note on them missing players through covid - to me it all seems far, far too convenient to suggest that it is due to internationals. No other team, to my knowledge, has even close to that many players absent due to the international break - given incubation periods and the length of time that these players are on international duty, there is every chance that they contracted this whilst with Celtic, not their international squad. It is also very suspect to me that they haven't been pushing the agenda for a postponement - we know they have previous for this...... anyone else more than a tad suspicious that this actually emanated from Parkhead, players then allowed to leave for international duty and Celtic then point the finger at national squads ? From what I understand, Edouard tested positive on arrival with the French squad, so it is unlikely he contracted it from anyone in his national squad. All seems very, very suspect to me.
  18. Their "brand" will be out there soon enough when the Adrian Goldberg documentary comes out, and the victims of CSA get their day in court. They are having to get their brand out there because they know a storm is brewing. I dont disagree with you that they are better at it than we are - but a youth player having to praise up Leigh Griffiths is barrel-scraping - even their own fans know that.
  19. That would maybe be why i said "in this instance", no ?
  20. In this instance, I am glad it is them rather than us. A complete unknown of a youth player looking up to a senior player - and that is the "best" news they can come out with ?
  21. A very, very good point. They rigged the fixture list so they had the latest possible date for the OF that gave them the biggest chance of having a home crowd at the game. They deserve everything they get, which hopefully also includes a pumping on the weekend.
  22. Joe is as mad as a box of frogs. However, I dont think there is any doubt that he is Peter Lawwell's useful idiot.
  23. That whole squad is honking
  24. Not the first mate - Cumnock Juniors withdrew yesterday, Pollok withdrew this morning - the West Superleague is currently at 6 teams that have withdrawn and from what I have read online it seems as many as 14 are expected to make the same decision.
