  1. I know of at least one senior ex Rangers player who played alongside Windass for us... who when asked about Windass simply said.... "He is the type of player that will get managers the sack"....
  2. The same people saying this will also say "bring Aribo home" with absolutely zero awareness that Aribo also played in the League One play-off final.... 🤣
  3. They both have been very good signings. Have to say too though that Ridvan is proving me wrong with each passing game - I didnt think he would cut it but he has been very good last couple of games too
  4. Not sure you have noticed compo.... but we probably have more Tims than prods these days already
  5. I thinkthat you are trying to fit your own narrative in here. Lawrence may have "scored a couple of goals" but he was our best, most creative player in each of his outings before injury. A fit Tom Lawrence is as good as the players you have mentioned above and he's certainly better than Hagi & Lowry, and Dowell is a complete unknown to us at this point.
  6. Cantwell isnt playing as a 10 presently, he is floating with a preference for the left side. We know Beale likes his multiple fluid "10's so there is no reason that Lawrence can't fit in that, either as a 10 or as a left sided attacker or, indeed, as one of the fluid 3 behind the focal point.
  7. I got my kid private plates.... doesnt even have a car or passed his test - what a muppet, lol
  8. Lawrence, IMHO, will if fit start the season as the left sided attacking mid that Kent presently holds. That was where he kind of started this season, as we didnt really play with wingers. Agreed on him being our best player too - he was a massive loss when he got injured
  9. That clearly isnt the case though - the French mob admitted they had made a bid for Morelos. Had we accepted he would have gone. Wasnt them that pulled the plug on it, it was us.
  10. As a fan no. The club, though, most certainly probably should have, remembering that, at the time, the EL final was a pipe dream.
  11. A bust in terms of not maximising his value - sure there could be offsetting values, but I would suggest his max value was after 55 and we could have cashed in on him then - so a bust if you can ignore 55 given he had played his part, and we could still have realised significant value. The Europa yeah, sure - but I also don't think that SBS is talking in those terms - seems to me he is only talking in terms of what we spent, and what we got. We as fans have the memories of 55 and Europa final, I acsolutely get that BD - but the club have a duty to maximise financially - and it COULD be argued they didnt - we dont want to get started on "just give us a team on the park" again do we ? There has to be balance surely ?
  12. Rumours are that there is more to Arfield moving on than Beale having a better alternative.
  13. Just because we only spent 1 million on him doesnt mean it hurt not capitalising on him when at the peak of his value. Had we sold him for 15 million we could have been out of sight of Celtic. Instead we pinned our hopes on him and it was a bust (admittedly hindsight plays a great deal in that) - but either way, just because you don't spend much doesnt mean it doesnt hurt when you don't capitalise on maximum value, especially when you have finances like ours.
  14. BOTH hurt - regardless of how much we paid, if we are to be self-sustaining we need to cash in when players are at their most valuable. That said, I can understand why we kept them all - we were on the back of an invincible season and had CL to look forward to and Gerrard wanted to push on.
  15. Was my hero growing up - met him at the Arsenal POTY awards in 1981 when I was a nipper. Got my photo taken with him and I had to stand 6 steps behind him to be same height.... I can confirm he has hands like shovels 🤣
  16. But you are just scare-mongering. There is absolutely zero evidence that this is the case
  17. You do understand that just because a player doesnt get injuries makes him no less of a safe bet than a player who has had injuries, right ? They may not suit the style of football - in that regard Sterling is in British football so knows the physical rigours, whilst Palma is in Greek football and we have no idea if he can handle the physicality of the game. I would also argue defenders (Sterling) run a larger risk of injury than attacking players (Palma) - though could easily be proved wrong on this
