match thread (image) [FT] Motherwell 1 - 1 Rangers (Itten 72)

There is no view that’s been seen to suggest that conclusively. Itten’s right foot looks to be closer to goal than any part of Gallagher’s body. As I said though, the angle that’s being used isn’t great and it is inconclusive, which also shows why the decision of the linesman could have went either way. And those who may scream for VAR may wish to rethink as VAR is likely to give us more decisions than cost us. -

Looked offside to me too in fairness. Angle wasn’t perfect though so you can see it in both directions. -

Eh ? We’ve beaten Celtic at home and beaten Aberdeen away. How is 7 points from 9 in January a slump ? -

The Winter 2020/21 Transfer Window Rumours and Deals - Thread

Apparently the only reason that this lad got his contract at Grimsby was because of his brother, Karamoko - Karamoko signed his contract with Celtic, seemingly, only after Nike guaranteed they would get his brother a contract at another club. Rangers were desperately trying to get Karamoko Dembele to sign for them at the time he signed for Celtic. -

I would be tempted to leave Wright at Aberdeen for the duration of the season - he may help them to more points against the Tims. -

With my blessing, at the end of the season -
Rumours this evening that they have more positive tests.

One would have to think that Rangers have quietly asked the SFA/SPFL for "clarification" on why Jones & Edmundson received those bans and Duffy hasnt. Clearly broke their bubble..

The rumour is that the 13 who are isolating are, for the most part fringe players - so I wouldnt get your hopes up too soon. -

I don't expect us to get rid of anyone in this window. We are within touching distance of winning the league and stopping their "10". Given that I would expect Park, Bennett et al to fund the club through the end of the season in the hopes we do that. At that point we will more than likely lose a couple of players. Interesting that probably the player who we could sell for most is Morelos - who hasn't been scoring, but he also offers so much more than just goals. Plus, we have lost Roofe for a few weeks, as well as Arfield being out. I think they will fun us to the end of the season with what we have. I would anticipate that if anyone goes then a direct replacement would be sought. My own preference would be to tie down important players on extended contracts, players such as Kamara. -
Ollie Watkins goal would be a good example. Was he offside ? Yes. Was it as a result of a foul on him ? Yes. Did he finish it after the foul and advantage should have been given and, therefore, a goal ? Yes. I think that would be the perfect example of a "good goal" being given offside. It CAN happen !

Aye, knew about this one a week ago. A friend is best mates with his Mum. Better to get first team games competitively in League Two than be at Morton I would suspect. -

Doesn't mean they weren't interested and doesnt mean his head hadn't been turned. Have it on good authority that after knowing of the interest from them his demands increased exponentially - and the club took the attitude that there was no way that they were going to be paying what he wanted and, despite SG being impressed with him, they werent prepared to pay him what established 1st team players have received. Liverpool weren't the only suitors. Not every player leaves simply because a big club wants them. Leon King is a perfect example. Again, on exemplary information, Man Utd considered him the best player in his age group in Europe - interest was definitely there - but the lad is a "home buddy" who hates being away from home and family - so even though the salary Rangers offered him was likely far less than that being offered down south, he didnt want to leave home. Not every young player will sign with an elite club just because they are elite or just because they pay more. Another example would be Karamoko Dembele across the city - signed with Celtic despite being courted by Man City. -

Liverpool were sniffing around Kennedy in the summer. Source is impeccable. Indeed, it was their interest which sparked the standoff between player and Rangers at the time as he was looking for ridiculous wages. Kennedy and Dickson are considered to be, by far, the best of the bunch in the reserves presently. Game changers who improve everyone around them apparently. -
Should have kept Foderingham

Personally I think that if we take full points from our next 5 games (St Johnstone (A); Hibs (H); St Mirren (A); Celtic (H) and Aberdeen (A)) then we will win the league - gaining 15 points in those 5 games is certainly achievable - won't be easy but should obviously be the aim. And, IMHO, it HAS to be the aim as I can't see Celtic dropping points from any of their next 5 games, aside from us. -
