  1. Got that straight mate - I am an old man now
  2. Anyone else read the headline and just visualizing Gribz doing the bouncy in his living room as he posts ?
  3. I'm not turning anything into an argument, that is you who is doing that. The stats speak for themselves though. If you believe that we truly set up in a 4-2-3-1 against the "trench diggers" then I really can't help you. Our formation against the parked buses has 2, possibly 3 at the back, with our fullbacks not acting like fullbacks at all. I am not sure the rest of it I should bother getting into because it has been done ad nauseum. Using natural wingers against a team who play two solid banks of 5 give you absolutely NO guarantee that you would get better results. Indeed, who do we even have who are true wingers at the club ? We don't have any wingers in the truest sense of the word. Our fullbacks don't do a wingers job because they aren't being asked to go and beat players before whipping a cross in - our fullbacks use the overlap to get those crosses in - wingers wouldn't be sitting as deep as that to be able to get behind the defenders. Which games this season have we been dire in ? Because you can't blame Rangers for having to go up against a brick wall - if that is dire it is on the opponent, particularly if Rangers are battering them into submission - which has happened on 28 of 33 occasions in the league this season. Hahaha - the "scum" fell away - sure.... but even if they hadn't fallen away we were still miles ahead of them - NOW who is trying to fit an argument into their agenda ? Whilst you try to take the gloss OFF this Rangers team by making Celtic being poor as an excuse - I will, quite happily, give them the credit that they thoroughly deserve. Honestly, I just don't get it - in a season where we have been, by and large excellent, you are finding a way to make it less so. And, from my perspective, though this may NOT be where you are coming from, it once again looks as if you are doing so merely because you want to see other players get game time. Me ? I will just give all the credit due to the players who contributed to our 55th title, all the while still being undefeated after 33 games in the league. Yes, we are a project in the making - but Greg Stewart won't be part of that project - so why continue to go on about him as some kind of missing link when he clearly hasn't been ? You aren't talking about us being a project in the making - you complained that we continued to use the same tactics - those same tactics that see us unbeaten in 33 games and won the league at a canter. Why would ANY manager change winning tactics, winning formations, winning personnel ? It is bonkers.
  4. As soon as I saw the split and saw we had Hibs, Celtic, Aberdeen at home my first thought was "guaranteed if this league was still there to be won at least one of those games would not have been at home". Given the league is over they may as well give us the toughest games at home as it doesn't matter - then if it is competitive next season they can point to this season and say we had the toughest games all at home.
  5. Think that was more to do with Celtic being in the ascendency - we didn't improve a great deal but they had the impetus - when treating it like a training game it is difficult to move through the gears at will. Was the most comfortable I think I have ever felt in an Old Firm game. Even when they scored I was like "meh, no biggie".
  6. It is exactly that attitude that has them where they are. If it wasn't for us going for an invincible league season I would grudgingly been comfortable with us losing that game if it meant Kennedy getting the job. We basically treated it like a training session. The only time we looked like it was a competitive game was, as you say, when we went behind. You could tell we were treating it like a training game when Celtic scored. McGregor almost looked like he didn't care that we had conceded - very, very unlike him not to be bawling and shouting after conceding a goal. We weren't fussed about winning, we just wanted to not lose. Hopefully in the game on May 2nd that changes and the squad want to finish the last OF game with a performance to be proud of - though, again, I would take a draw if it meant Kennedy getting the Celtic job
  7. Each to their own, but I have THOROUGHLY ENJOYED watching Rangers this season. We have played with a panache, swagger, and intent about us all season long, with minor, very minor, blips along the way. Some of our play has been absolutely sublime, even when struggling to break teams down. I do believe it was you yourself in seasons past who has lamented, rightly so, that "there are two teams on the pitch and it isn't just what we do that makes the game" or words to that effect. If you are expecting every game to be pleasing on the eye when going up against brick walls then I suggest you may need to watch another team because that is going to be the way forward for our opponents in the vast majority of domestic matches. It is a 5-5-0 that they deploy, not a 0-5-5. We have dropped points in 5 games from 33 so far this season - that is we have won 85% of our league games, drawn 15% and lost 0%. And very few, very few, have been turgid affairs from OUR perspective - we can't dictate how opponents play against us, that is up to them. As I said, we have averaged 2.36 goals per game - you will be one of very few football fans unhappy with their team scoring an average of 2.36 goals per game, being undefeated in the league, won the league before the split, the quickest it has been won in a century. It is almost as if some of our fans are completely forgetting the last decade already. The progress made by this team is absolutely remarkable - yet scoring 2.36 goals per game just isn't enough - now we need to do it playing like the 2011 Barcelona team, no matter how our opponents line up. Yes, we know you want guys like Stewart to get game time and we know you aren't particularly keen on Kent. But Kent has been integral to our team and anyone who looks at just his goals and assists is completely missing the other aspects of his game and also how dangerous he is for opponents, such that they double team him. Stewart is a decent squad player and, I too, would have liked to have seen him get more game time - but this season was about ONE thing and one thing only - winning the league - Gerrard was highly unlikely to rotate a great deal from a winning formula - he did that in seasons past and we fell apart after Christmas. One thing that we ALL have a tendency to forget is that we are not the ones who see these players every single day in training - it could just very well be that Gerrard doesn't fancy him because he isn't showing enough on the training pitch. Some players become better than they actually are simply because they aren't playing - I have a suspicion that Greg Stewart is one such player. Speaking of players becoming better because they aren't playing though.... is ANYONE any longer in doubt as to just how important Tavernier is for us ? Took pelters from some sections of our support for a long time - but now that he has a prolonged period out it is clear to see just how vital he is - and it is abundantly clear to see that opponents are now attacking our right side, because he is out.
  8. No, reporting to the Police would be the responsibility of the victim, though can be done by anyone - but it wouldn't be on UEFA but more likely Rangers if not Kamara
  9. Eh ? We are averaging 2.36 goals per game this season in the league - how are we struggling to break them down ? How are they dire to terrible affairs when we are scoring so many goals ? The traits you attribute to Stewart are the same traits Aribo has. This to me smacks of the age old problem that a player becomes better than he is simply by not playing. I simply cannot fathom anyone, not just you dB because I see it from other sections of our support, who can complain this season about not utilizing different systems - we have dropped 10 points from 33 games this season - there has been no need to utilize different systems when, by and large, we are comfortably beating teams without much fuss at all. Changing systems is pointless when you continue to win. You only need to look across the city where their manager changed systems constantly, trying to find a formula that worked, and it did nothing but increase the chaos and carnage. Why would we change a winning formula ?
  10. Lol. In a season we have dominated domestically, in a week where emotions will have completely drained the squad, our 5th match of the month to Celtic's two, we had two days of preparation to their two weeks work of preparation.... in all of that, and we have won the league the earliest it has been won in a century, undefeated in the league.... all of that... and you are raging. I would hate to see what you have been like the last decade then. Over-reaction may be an understatement
  11. Bill is right. The only reason you think racism is the worst it’s ever been is due to the platform of social media. just thinking logically, how can any of us say that racism is worse now than the days of segregation ? It isn’t, a distance has been travelled since those days, but clearly a greater distance still remains.
  12. I am actually very confident in this game for some reason. Well, aside from us just generally being a much better team than them. I think the players will want to not just show solidarity with Kamara over last night but give a performance which says "racism won't knuck us down".
  13. Yep. A deserved red card but unintentional.
  14. Should have walked off the pitch. Was an opportunity missed. Could have achieved more in 30 seconds than “taking the knee” has accomplished all season.
  15. So keen they are on resolving the issue that Sportsound, on the weekend after Rangers won their first title in a decade and "stopped the 10"..... their flagship show was over 40 minutes deep and still hadn't made ONE SINGLE mention of Rangers winning the title. They have zero desire to resolve the issue - they are drip-feeding that story such that they can blame Rangers for it not happening. Fuck em.
  16. That's fine, will just make the 5-1 pumping we give them look more respectable.
  17. Some of those who immediately responded wouldn't have barely had enough time to even read the report, let alone digest it. I think we handled this well. Calm, measured, hit the right spots, had the right tone.
  18. Time for the club to laundry list Celtic breaches. They have plenty. The club should take aim at the SFA on this one for sure. The time to call out unfair, unbalanced treatment is from a position of strength, which is what we currently have in that we are already Champions and challenging these injustices don't impact on-field results. To be honest, I think our 5 SHOULD be banned. They deserve it for breaking covid rules. However, the injustice is that not one Celtic player is seeing a ban - At the very least Duffy broke their covid bubble on his way back to Scotland by flying commercial. And that is before any of the clear breaches from Dubai are considered.
  19. They half own the copyright.... But we have definitely broken them - they have a 5 yr old running their twitter, lol
  20. The club would have been lambasted for doing that - they aren't allowed to. They would have needed prior permission from Scotgov. And if people had found out the club had opened Ibrox up then there would have been many, many thousands more who would have showed up and made it even worse.
  21. The club's statement appears in full on Twitter courtesy of Peter Smith - and it paints Humza Useless, Scotgov, The Police, and even Sturgeon, in a less than flattering light - Park doesn't miss and provides a chronology of what the club did, and even tried to do. Seems the club were the ones who were being proactive whilst the others failed in their duties.
