He can play as both the pivot and also the late-run midfielder - ticks a number of boxes for us. What I like most is his timing of arrival in and around the box - and not shy to have a go from outside the box. Will be a shame for Arfield as I suspect he will be the player to make way. --------------------McGregor-------------------- Tav-----Goldson---- Helander/Balogun-----Barisic ----------Ramsey------------Kamara-------------- Diallo--------------Aribo-----------------Kent -------------------Morelos------------------------ That front 6 looks scary ! Could still be doing with a striker IMHO.

Loan deals or not - what a window if we land Ramsey. Ramsey - world class player on his day A replacement for Patterson, and also still young, for a fraction of the cost Amad Diallo from Man Utd - the winger we have been craving - and on Saturday's showing could be a fantastic addition. Souttar - now or summer, good signing who knows the league Still think we could be doing with a striker because Itten sadly just doesnt cut it. But this is shaping up to be an excellent transfer window for the club. Now, get the job done on the park where it matters. Absolute kudos to Ross Wilson for these deals, remarkable

That is the thing, this team of ours is far, far more suited to going for the jugular than it is sitting holding a 1 goal lead. When GvB eventually realises that and releases the handbrake we will take some stopping -

Itten wouldnt be near my starting XI and I think that I would replace Sands With Kamara, Kamara with Aribo and Aribo with Diallo - still wouldnt drop McGregor either Other than that I agree -

It is always difficult to look beyond a poor result like Saturday's. However, Celtic needed a 96th minute winner at Dingwall not too long ago (yes, I know, at least they won). But our 2nd half performance, from the start of the second half, was for the most part actually exceptional - with a more clinical striker County's 3rd goal in injury time is a consolation in a 5 or 6-3 drubbing. It is that start to the second half we need, and we are clearly capable. Celtic have been getting those late winners that we say wins you leagues - but they have had to do it fairly often which just adds pressure. When you consider that their team is weakened just now whilst we "only" miss Morelos and, perhaps, Helander then we have little to fear. And hopefully GvB has realised that Itten just isnt up to the task and he has to go with Roofe for the first hour, or even try Sakala through the middle. I am still fairly confident that we will get a positive result on Wednesday - in fact, I am fairly confident we take 3 points. We havent been playing well and they arent as good as they think. That 2nd half performance has to be what FvB looks for from the start on Wednesday evening. We get that, and we get 3 points IMHO. -
It is less injuries and more selection that Ramsey has missed games, though he has had some niggles. Paul Merson reckons he would be a remarkable signing for us. I am inclined to agree so long as he stays fit and healthy. Still "only" 31 and one would have to think would ultimately replace Davis in the squad.
