Rangers Awarded Prestigeous Indian Council Community Cohesion Award
craig replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Aye, but we are the club who aren't inclusive apparently 🙄 -
I would imagine that Technical Director and Managing Director would be completely different roles. Technical Director, to me, would be like what Ross Wilson currently does, which should be completely focused on the footballing arm of the club. Managing Director is a role that encompasses the whole business entity. Managing Director is a Company wide role, whilst Technical Director would, I suspect, be a departmental (football) role.

It would be unhealthy if the control of communication was to stifle a professional, ethical "partner" of the club. C1872 gave proven themselves to be neither. Indeed, they have doubled down by becoming King's stooge. They are at the stage where they are essentially being openly hostile to the club - but you think the club should allow them to publish any 3rd party information they get ? You don't think that C1872 would take a chance to rid the club of Park on King's behalf ? Even if it means reputational damage to the club (and be mindful that they knew the Castore request would be harmful to the clubs reputation when they did that, and they cared not). C1872 are, frankly, unprofessional, unethical in their dealings and certainly not to be trusted. I would be more disappointed in the club if they didn't tie them to a 3rd party NDA. Of course they were never going to get the information from Castore - which merely proves how stupid it was to ask in the first place. Who would trust people operating like that ? Unfortunately, it IS C1872 vs the Board - which C1872 have made abundantly clear in their communications this year, add the fact they are in King's back pocket and it becomes ever clearer. The club SHOULD be looking to control communication - tell me what company wants communications to come from unofficial sources rather than official ? We can complain about lack of communication, as we should - but C1872 is not the answer to improve that - they can't be trusted, they have proven that time after time. Being transparent with ALL fans absolutely - but that certainly isnt C1872. Being transparent, more communication etc is all perfectly acceptable to desire - but why shouldnt that come directly from the club ?
-
They can, you are right. But to then cry wolf because the club want to hold them to an NDA is disingenuous. They circumvented the club when they shouldnt have. They effectively embarrassed the club and informed the club that they were mavericks. The fact they did it is embarrassing enough. If they thought they were going to receive a reply which provided commercially sensitive information is just incredible naivety (at best) and stupidity at worst. It all shows just why the Club is indeed right to not trust C1872 The Club have an obligation to protect the club and its reputation. That story came out about C1872 directly asking questions of Castore - and it WAS an embarrassment to the club (and C1872 by the way). All of which points to the club doing exactly the right thing. The only people to blame for the club enforcing a 3rd party NDA is C1872. They brought it on themselves by circumventing the club in the first place when they shouldnt have.
-
Which essentially means the Club allow C1872 to carte blanche inform their members of whatever they wish - the previous Castore incident is proof positive that C1872 can't be trusted to be professional enough to know when they may be harming the club. All the more reason to enforce an NDA with them. What they did was essentially unprofessional, unethical, and something that shouldnt happen - they basically didnt get an answer from the club and tried to circumvent the club. No wonder there is a lack of trust when that happens.
-
Brazil only lost to an inferior team because they were already through and dropped their whole starting XI.
-
Lol. Hardly surprising. I remember the chaos of him contacting Bennett's employers and trying to counsel him - stubborn old goat. he could never actually see that whilst he tried to sell it as looking after his clients, it was as obvious as day follows night that he was trying to inject himself into the clubs affairs.
-
So the club should willingly let a group of people who havent actually operated at senior management in any company, let alone a public one, to just go out and get information about the club (what other information would they be looking for ?) and disseminate it, potentially hurting the club, its reputation and its finances ? The Club, IMO, are absolutely spot on in this instance. Particularly knowing that C1872 have overstepped their authority in the past and basically pissed all over generally accepted business practices. They tried to circumvent the club FFS
-
C1872 were absolutely NOT within their rights to ask the questions to the people they asked them to. They had a right to ask the club, as shareholders of the club, but C1872 have absolutely zero direct reason to be asking that of Hummel, Elite or Castore. What right do they have to ask commercially sensitive questions of entities where they have no direct involvement ?
-
Agreed, and C1872 can only have themselves to blame for the club trying to enforce this upon them. They attempted to circumvent the club and obtain commercially sensitive information which, at best, was disingenuous and, at worst, potentially significantly harmful to the club. This action showed just how unprofessional C1872 were/are. No surprise the club want to silence them.

The Winter 2022/23 Rangers Transfer Window Rumours and Deals - Thread
craig replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
Wait till you find out Beale was apparently at the World Cup (which makes little sense as he was at the AGM).... and that Jason Cummings was also at the World Cup..... -
should be official site
-
The 64%, I believe, is of the C1872 shareholding, not the total shareholding in the club.
-
It isnt a typo mate. C1872 are in King's pocket... King doesnt like Park.... C1872 quite possibly been canvassing for this behind the scenes.
-
Well hes spoken a good game in regards to entertaining the fans, we can but hope he can walk the walk too
-
Get well soon dB
-
Aye, but only as long as it isnt against Rangers
-
This is indeed great news my friend, so long as they follow through with it, which I am sure they will. Have you seen the plans ? Are they compliant ? I know that was one of the issues before, that our disabled facilities werent even close to being compliant for UEFA (I think it was UEFA) - this will at least be one of the big ticket items that the club needed to get resolved satisfactorily - glad it is now appropriately on the docket !
-
Tekkers for sure. Great for a full back.
-
And even that would be a coin flip given Croatia made the final 4 years ago

Borna getting his first minutes at the World Cup

England have done well. Most of their fans see the scoreline yesterday but ignore the fact that Senegal had the upper hand until the first goal and were it not for Pickford's wonder save the game could have been very, very different. This French team will likely have the lion's share of the possession and their front 4 are scary good. Giroud just scores wherever he plays and seems to score every time he lines up for France, Dembele has been unplayable at times in this tournament, Griezmann is playing just behind them and dictating the play - and we don't even need to mention what Mbappe can do. England certainly have a chance, but France look so strong across the whole team. Their back 5 are solid and Rabiot has had an excellent tournament so far too.

Rangers 'sued for £1.6m' over Sydney Super Cup withdrawal
craig replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
It wont be a claim for expenses. It will be a claim for loss of earnings, they will argue that Rangers v Celtic would have sold out the stadium on that day. Not an unreasonable claim. But there will hopefully be more to it than that, hopefully they breached the contract by early publication of it etc -
Before leaving of their own volition they had won the league in an invincible league season and were 6 points clear at the top of the table. Cup results were dismal but I dont think they can be labeled a failure.
