It can't. City don't have the right to take these charges, and any subsequent punishments, to CAS
-
You can be absolutely guaranteed that if Ange heads to Leeds they will be exclaiming that Pep really wants to manage Celtic. Nothing surer.
-
But therein lies the problem.... you let these state investment funds come in with inifnite wealth and the structure of the game breaks down - you end up with, oh I don't know, a Super League, because they all want more money, more access to revenues - there is a reason Boehly suggested an all-star game - they are trying to Americanize the game... probably also wanted a 4-4-3 to gain an advantage too 🤣

Which the Court for Arbitration in Sport (CAS) overturned.....

Any potential suitors looking to take him on board based on deflective tweets deserve all they get.

As stale as the performance was there were some very decent performances.... I went for Cantwell as he had drive, enthusiasm, vision, work rate and a whole lot more. Very good performances from Tillman, Borna and Davies though. Davies and Goldson have all the makings of a very solid Cb partnership - they need a better keeper behind them than the two we are presently rotating.

That is the rumour - I would guess that Kent will do that whilst Morelos will leave under freedom of contract -
So a player now isnt allowed (or wanted) to post about the fact he scored two goals in a tough away game. Have we all become energy sponges ? Nothing wrong with him posting it.

The same can be said of Kent, as I have said many times. It is then on the management tactics, and fellow team mates, to expose those additional spaces.

Jack is still our best midfielder when fit. Letting him go wouldnt make any sense as we still need a SQUAD, not a team. -

Mate, you are posting as if you knew he wasnt prepared to sign a pre-contract. You had no more of an idea of that being the case than those of us who didnt want to spend the fee and sell-on. I could see you being all pious if your grounds for spending the cash were because of the pre-contract situation - but your grounds were that he could help us win a cup or two...... -

When I originally posted I wasnt aware of his not wanting to sign a pre contract - that does definitely change things. None of those German clubs that wanted him are bigger clubs than Rangers, none of them. -

I would retain Jack. -

I dont doubt the "other positives" but we need to be ran in a financially prudent manner. Depending on the fee and sell-on then sure - at the rumoured 2 mill Euros plus 20% sell-on, nah. Now, that said, if the player wasnt willing to sign a pre-contract and this was the only way of getting him then fine. -

I see Fulham are negotiating to terminate Onomah's contract - we were linked with him earlier in the window -

Liege can't force him to leave though. -

That is only so if he wasnt going to sign a pre-contract. And it could be this is why we paid the fee..... however, will we hear of anyone complaining that he wasnt committed if he wasnt going to sign a pre-contract ? -

The outlay to try and win a cup or two is greater than the income those cups would provide. I would rather have got him for free in the summer. -

The negative is 2 mill Euros plus 20% sell on fee (allegedly) for a guy we could have for nothing in the summer. That money could be better spent elsewhere given the league is almost certainly over (anyone thinking that we beat Celtic twice and then they drop a further 4 points more than us in the remainder of the season is, IMHO, deluded). And a 20% sell on fee for a 21 yr old who we could have for free in the summer also doesnt really appeal. I understand why people want him in. I understand why people are prepared to pay the money being suggested. Doesnt mean it makes good business sense - and it doesnt make good business sense unless he wasnt going to sign a pre-contract, which it seems he was going to do anyway. -

20 years ago we had more money to spend than we have now - it was only 15 years ago though.... -

We were already 1 up at the time. Why the need to change it when things are even more to our advantage ?
