  1. Do the UB's engage with other sections of the support ? Genuine question. Are these banners supposed to be a representation of the support as a whole or just the UB ? Again, genuine question.
  2. From what I heard this one was of a slightly more sinister nature. Either way, it is absolutely disingenuous of the UB to use only the anti-Board banner as the reason they werent allowed to parade them. If they werent allowed to parade any of them, why wouldnt they just post a picture of all the banners that were banned, instead of the convenient one ?
  3. Our right back also has, what, 50 penalties ? Those need to at least be factored in
  4. Pray all you like compo but the next game will be at Hampden....
  5. Aye, but how about the other banner(s) they had that they conveniently are NOT parading there ??
  6. Where did you manage to watch it Bill ? I havent seen the game from the other night due to work so would like to watch the full 90 again
  7. We surely don't have the finance to do that, do we ?
  8. Aye, probably. But I wouldnt see it as all eggs in one basket
  9. I literally never have a clue what you mean when you post mate - no disrespect intended
  10. Personally the line isnt in who the opponent is - the line for me is whether it is the right thing to do or not. It was the right thing to do IMHO, therefore should have been done against ANY opponent. Had we lost the game I would have been annoyed for sure - but that still wouldnt mean it wasnt the right thing to do.
  11. So I am therefore not sure how we set a losing example given we a) won the match and b) are through to the next round and this incident has not prevented us from winning a trophy. Disappointing to see you revert to old posting types R_S - the abrupt posting and not engaging was something I had noticed you move away from and it was refreshing. Each to their own though
  12. Darvel have a genuine opportunity to reach the semi finals here. What a story that would be. Talbot defeated Ayr in the Scottish Cup last season (maybe was season before) so no reason that Darvel can't dispatch both Falkirk and Ayr.
  13. KT wasn't quick enough to get there in the time needed....
  14. Was yesterday a final ? What did I miss ? Did the result from yesterday prevent us from "winning a meaningful trophy" ? Again, what did I miss ?
  15. I agreed but mostly for the first comment. That said, nobody could really complain if Raskin was given it either. We sign Tillman for 5 mill and we could triple our money same day if he continues his progress like this under Beale. Raskin is trat midfielder we have been needing and wanting for years.... Looks sooooooo classy in AND out of possession - his movement and timing off the ball to create passing lanes and angles is sublime.
  16. We won the game whilst displaying some class. So which example are we following ?
  17. As an addendum to this... Connor Goldson is absolutely captain material... at full time he basically rushed to Tillman's side so that he had protection should any of the Thistle player want "afters"
  18. I don't think I have ever said this to you BD but the above just seems wildly exaggerated. 1. The Thistle players are never throwing a ball back to you when they are fairly deep inside their own half. Common wisdom is throw in to team-mate who then launches up the park - as he was intending to do (just had an awful first touch) 2. When did you last witness a team willingly remove a player because of a red card incident that they got away with ? That is just emotional nonsense BD. 3. I wouldnt be best pleased if we were knocked out because of it - but that is irrelevant because we werent. 4. I would say we should do it against anyone in the same circumstances - it is these moments of class which separate us and I would hate for us to be dragged to their levels (anyoen remember the 89 Cup Final when Aitken took a throw in and Joe Miller scored the only goal to win the cup - was a Rangers throw-in. Let them be classlessm it is who they are). 5. Tillman shouldnt have chased down the ball - however, Beale's explanation of WHY he did it made perfect sense. None of this is on Tillman though.
  19. Yes they did. He was probably 20 or more yards ahead of every other player - they got there in numbers not long after he was shoved to the ground.
  20. Personally I think Beale did the right thing. I am a "fuck everyone except Rangers" person myself but I also expect and want our club to operate with the highest standards possible. We still ran out winners but did so by acting with class and integrity. Tillman, to his defence, hadn't a clue what had happened as he was rolling around in agony from a stamp on his ankle when Colak put the ball out of play. What makes this instance more of a challenge to get the head around than the Leeds vs Villa one is that the Thistle player took an eternity to get the ball under control before looking to launch it to McGregor - but his intent to clear to our back line was clear. Think we did the right thing. Let the rest of Scottish football show how classless they are - I expect more of our club and I saw it yesterday in how this was handled.
  21. He did absolutely nothing asides from that goal. Personally thought Tillman was unplayable in the second half.
  22. Did he not get hookers for all the Monza players when they got promoted to Serie A ? Elevates him in my book 🤣
  23. Napoli are one of, if not THE, best team in Europe - great value bet for the CL during the group stages, even moreso now with Madrid, City, Liverpool all looking like weaker sides
