  1. oh ffs this will be a hard watch with those officials. Dickinson is a different kind of incompetent cheat altogether, and will be ably assisted by the tim's tim franky bhoy connor, he of the cheating at the cup final pasture. Why we didnt ensure that cheat never officiated again at this level was a real open-goal opportunity missed. Expect the usual mixture of honest mistakes, you can see why he gave it calls, soft decisions for Dundee and very lightly awarded cards for our players. And we will again do nothing about it afterwards. I hope we still pump them, those victories are all the sweeter to know you have ruined their weekend as well.

  8. Reading the extract from the Post reminded me of the days when papers actually printed news without hyperbole. I remember McEwan. Good player. (“Fife Ace in big money move to Midlands Giants”)

  12. Thanks for that R, adding where these guys are puts a bit more perspective on it and I agree that from the looks of it we should be an attractive options for that list given their current employers. I also agree that the usual lazy names that get banded about like those you mention are uninspiring also. I dont have any names myself, I dont have the time to watch a ton of football other than our games and some EPL top games and some Champions League so dont really see any managers that could be potential suitors. Although names I would suggest would likely be awful anyway as I didnt want Walter first time or McLeish and they both went on to prove me completely wrong! I did fancy PLG as well and that didnt turn out well. I think im pretty much in the camp that as long as I dont know the guy, and it isnt a staunch appointment, then I will be happy to give the guy a chance. I am much more comfortable now I understand the Park family will have no influence on the appointment!

  13. I have no clue whatsoever who should be the new manager. Rangers are long gone from hiring in the Souness/Advocaat Category which means Ancelotti must stay at Real for now and I have no knowledge of the lower levels. Whoever is offered the job should have a consistent record. At the beginning of this season the chap at Aberdeen was a diamond and Gray at Hibs was a laughingstock out of his depth. Now look at them. (NB: This is not an endorsement of either)

  14. We kept Morelos, Kent, Goldson, Aribo, Kamara, etc. long after their peak value. How much did we win? We're still counting the cost. We need to get the player trading model working.

  15. But that's the whole point. We should have sold Morelos when Lille asked, he was a far better player than the one we signed from Finland. But he went for feck all, and you're then left trying to replace him without the healthy fee in your hip pocket. We have to sell when a players stock is high*, and trust our recruitment to go again. * and players look for their next move when they're in a strong position too.
