  1. Raskin started for Belgium tonight and starred in a 3-0 win over Ukraine. Despite getting a dubious booking after 4 minutes, the wee man played well, keeping the ball moving, almost always finding his man, and made a few key interceptions. He got subbed to a standing ovation on the 90th minute and apparently the Belgians are raving about him.

  2. I'd rather keep him too, but its unlikely he will want to stay. He will want a bigger league and wage. We cant give him either. We need to get out of this mindset of being scared to let players go because we cant replace them. Its held us back for years now.

  3. And the more we're able to sell players for big money, the more attractive we become for other players as they'll see us as a pathway to a top 5/top 2 league team.

  4. Latest from Daily Record. [snip] Record Sport can reveal Cavenagh visited the Auchenhowie facility as part of a VIP tour with his takeover team a fortnight ago, the day after watching Barry Ferguson’s side clinch a place in the quarter finals of the Europa League with a shoot-out win over Fenerbahce.

  6. But how much would it cost us to replace him, if there was someone of his standard available ? Wee Nico has been our best player this season. I would rather keep him, make him captain, and build around him with the supposed 49er's budget.

  7. I was going to say “and losing ground to the field” but if he looks back he’ll see that the field such as it is, is about two furlongs behind.

  9. Really hard to argue with that. I'd have Dalglish on the sub bench though.

  10. Mutineers. Should be horsewhipped. Mind you, so should the docile, servile, rest of them.

  11. To stir up controversy, here’s a best Scotland XI since resumption at the end of hostilities: Goram, McGrain, Caldow, McKay, McKinnon, Baxter, Smith, White, Reilly, Law, Liddell.

  12. Both have been particularly impressive in Europe so no surprise at their recognition at this level. I think we may struggle to keep Raskin especially this summer but him being called up can only increase his value.
