  1. From what I understand, its done by percentage so we'll get more seats there, than they'll get at Ibrox Cynical side of me says that if there was a title race, there would still be no away fans

  2. Think we've had issues with injuries for a time before Clement so probably just a case of timing. Won't be long until the usual suspects break down again you'd fancy.

  3. He is a very decent man and this statement shows it again.

  4. I believe this to be an honest message and not just lip service from Big Phil. This seems very gracious for a man who was shown very little support from the board or fans not even half way into his rebuild. All the best to him in the future.

  5. Classy statement from a classy guy. It didn’t work but for me he was hung out to dry by the board some players and keyboard warriors. Yes tactically it didn’t always work out but I thought he was a good manager. Certainly a massive improvement on the one before and after.

  6. SPFL ruling today that pyro used by the UB at both the league cup SF & Final has breached rules and as a result Rangers will get a reduced allocation at our next Hampden game of 500 tickets. i can only hope the 500 comes straight out of the UB allocation but we all know it won’t so the most selfish group of Rangers fans will now cost 500 Rangers fans to miss our next SF. I’m sure they think it’s worth it to blow some smoke up their own arse.

  7. You'd need to resurrect Jock Wallace if you want training like that!😁

  8. I think he's in a huff because Philippe criticised his managerial style.

  9. It's been resolved at 4% of stadium capacity. They do want the whole stand but they're not getting it.

  11. But the unanswered question is who is the man for the job? Without resources no manager worth his salt will touch it with a barge pole

  12. Does Sr Benitez not suffer from a heart condition. If so he shouldn’t come to Rangers for his own sake not the club’s.

  13. Many will pour scorn on this. I take him at his word and think it a contains a certain decency. Good luck to him in the future.

  14. I am very sceptical of the takeover, verging on outright fear. However I need to reappraise my position if Celtic fans are so opposed to it. I don't think they are bright enough for a double bluff.

  15. With our current squad nothing is guaranteed

  16. No. They will have strength sessions, CV sessions, that's where they'll put the physical work in.

  17. The mistake Clement made was to publicly say he thought he could fix the injury situation in the summer. In reality it didn't change much, the players who are prone to injury continued to pick up injuries, although of the newer players really only Cortes has been out for long spells. I've just realised our game kicks off early on Thursday, so I'll miss most of it. That might prove to be a blessing but I'm annoyed about it just now.

  19. Quite astounding really. And is a coincidence with a change of manager? Starting line up will be interesting with this news. Im hoping Barry either opts for a back 3 but if he sticks with a 4 then he floods the midfield else we could get played of the park in a hostile place.

  20. Arsenal through Villa almost through a good night for the English clubs

  21. What - you don't think there are coaches out there who could coach players to beat Queens Park, Motherwell, Dundee and the likes?

  22. Benitez 10 years ago would have been fine but he has gone into the retirement old school drawer with the likes of Steve Bruce and Big Sam.

  23. Agree with all and genuinely wish him the best. Just have the feeling he actually deserved to be in the dugout for Thursday night but there is a bigger picture to look at.

  25. Brilliant for Villa but where did 7 Arsenal goals come from all of a sudden. Both in the Quarters.

  26. I don't think they've shown much in the way of patience. They've employed 6 managers so very little patience there. Every 'plan' for running the club sustainably seems to get ripped up the minute results and performances attract supporter criticism, so no sense of patience there either. We've gone through CEOs, Directors of Football, Sporting Directors and so on. At a time when we should have had stability and patience the board have reacted to every onfield set back and started again. I suspect the Americans will be more patient with their plan, whatever that might be. I suspect they'll be far less swayed by supporter emotion.

  27. If we are honest back in that dark day in 2012 when that poisoned little b*****d Whyte stood outside Ibrox reading the statement that we wear entering administration the club have never recovered a few trophies a couple of runs in Europe is no success the present board have done their best and can do no more they’re rich but not that rich we need this takeover to succeed or we become another Hearts. Hibs Aberdeen former greats just playing second fiddle to the ugly mob .

  28. Unfortunately you get differing opinions from 50,000 who attend games and god knows how many others around the world. Thats natural. I do take your point about knee jerk reactions though but generally a lot of football fans are not silly and can easily see things that are wrong like when a manager is playing wrong formations or players out of position or has lost the dressing room. We can also see when someone is the wrong man very early into tenures - I.e Pedro was clearly not right, and Beale was found out very quickly. I can only speak for myself in that I thought Gio was gone to early and wanted him more time, I was also very patient with Clement but other than Europa games you could tell he had lost the dressing room and didnt have the tactical nous from the Scottish game for coming up for 12 months.

  29. We'll be fine then. We brought in a mammoth 810,000 for five players plus four loans in the summer past. We have all the deadwood listed in another thread. We might get a net 3 or 4 Million for them. Should cover the Cortes purchase.
